Is Jim Parsons gay?

What's the difference?

IDK,Homosexual sounds more Sheldonly xD

I use it quite often, actually, in such contexts as 'he did everything that was Sheldonly possible for him, to make up with Amy'. :)

Sheldon's deff. not gay. Anyway, Jim boring?....no way :icon_cheesygrin:....well...I guess it depends on each type of personality.

Perhaps he meant Jim is boring compared to Charlie Sheen. ;)

:icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin: Now that's a comparison I never thought about.

Bravo!! (bravA?) :icon_lol: It doesn't really matter, BUT with all the suicides and bullying of gay kids in schools, the more role models that are OUT there, the better! I am soon to be a 63 year old gay man *62 now* who wishes there was such thing AS a "gay celebrity" when I was growing up in Owosso, Michigan!!

Even though it is not official, I agree that he probably is, since you can see his friend (partner) Todd is with him at the ceremonies. He is talented, attractive, funny and seems to be an all-around good and humble person. That is why I like him. Yes, I have a great appreciation for his attractive qualities, but since I am married, it really doesn't matter anyway. It is all just in fun!

Yes, he is gay. I think he is engaged to some Todd guy?

Why is this topic still open ?

I have watched all of jim's interviews, and he has stated that he does not have wedding plans. wish i could tell you where it was, but i remember him saying it. the topic is still open because it really has never been officially said, and never proven, because the only thing out there about it is just a tabloid article. but, todd is seen with him all of the time, mainly at the ceremonies, and jim thanks him when he gets awards, so there is a good chance that it is true.

I just love him and the rest of the cast! I can so relate to them...I feel as if they are my children sometimes....other times I feel as if they are my childhood chums...I just love them. I noticed Jim's personality shining through the character. Who cares. He makes me laugh and I know God loves him as much as he loves me.

I didn't know they were engaged/married. Awesome! I love Jim. I love Jim and the fact that he doesn't hide being who he is. I weep for those who have to hide being Gay/Bi/Lesbian. I don't care either way, if your gay, purple, I don't judge. I love ya Jim, keep doing you :D.

I won't trust tabloids because that's onviously not true.

Realizing Jim's gay just after seeing him walk is nothing compared to my Dad asking me if he's gay just after seeing 5 seconds of BBT. I loathed my dad for speaking the truth.

I don't read tabloid either. There always full of shhht.

Yeah, my mom asked that too. I just looked at her with an arched brow and asked, "And?"

She looks at me. "Is he?"

I responded. "I don't think the character is, but Jim himself is, but that doesn't matter. I am jealous though." She looked at me, confused. I laughed. "Jim's a sexy guy, If I was a guy, I'd totally go gay for him."

We both laughed, and she shook her head. I told her, "In this day and age, we've become more acceptable. I like it, I just wish that soon, and before I die. I'd love to see a day where no one hated. Were they didn't judge you by who you choice to love, man or woman, or judged you by the color of your skin."

I never saw anything on the show that would lead me to believe that he was gay but then I wasn't looking for any. However I did know that he was. He does not make any secret of it. But, what does it matter? He is a very good actor who does an excellant job protraying his character, and it is his character that I enjoy. I would be much more upset if it were rumored that he was a real jerk, but everything that I have heard says that he is a really nice guy, which I think is much more imporartant then his sexuality.

I didn't know Jim was gay until I happened to be looking online and reading comments etc. and I would see the pictures of him and his partner. Him being gay certainly doesn't take away from his amazing talent (not that anyone said this here) and it doesn't take away that I'm crushing on him either. LOL.

Now that I know he's gay, yes, he has these mannerisms that I see when I go back and watch all the seasons that point to him being gay but again, I couldn't care less. I adore him no matter what and they couldn't have chosen a better person to play Sheldon.

Wow all these kind posts are just so affirming. It makes a difference in our lives when we (I'm gay) see people totally cool with gay people. I know Jim is a private person, so for him to discuss his partner in the NYTimes magazine article was a big effort on his part. He's so beloved that gestures like that really help. You're all amazing and making the world a better place :icon_biggrin:

thanks...

Well, Parsons is not the happiest persons that I know. Especially in the extras of BBT DVDs, he is usually quite serious.

So, not that gay, I would say.

But on the whole, I do not know why some people are so obsessed about other's sexuality.

I mean gandalf and frodo are gay. some people were shocked. I say, so what?

Oscar Wilde was gay, as was Michelangelo. Does this affect how we enjoy their art?

-it does seem to creep some. Me, no.

Annieogly - I was happy, too, when he expressed his preferences publicly in the NYT article, and I liked even more that it was done in such a low-key, matter-of-fact way, in the spirit of it's not being a big deal - which, indeed, it isn't, and the day when everyone can think like that will be when we have real tolerance.

I don't think there's any reason to think that Jim isn't a happy person. He comes across as a relaxed, well-adjusted person in most of his interviews, someone who is both unassuming and comfortable with himself, with a great sense of humor. On the sets of TBBT he's probably focusing on his role and his lines, which is why he seems to be more serious than the rest of them.

It somehow still baffles me that people talk about this soo much. There never is that much talk about people being straight...Most important thing is that people are happy & left to live their lives just as the rest of us straight people are imo!

And this is no offense to this thread & it's op btw...just wanted to clear that up.
