He wouldn't be a bad guest star in some future episode. Howard's Russian Cosmonaut buddy.

They could certainly show him interacting with Howard during/after they come back from space, assuming that they plan to show that part.

Yeh that would be good , he was really funny!

I thought shamys speeches were the funniest. Amy was great when she was talking about being the maid of honour again if the marriage didn't go well and to add to it , everyoones reactions were funny.I like how sheldon started his speech in klingon and bernardettes reaction was also funny.

I was abit confused when sheldon was going on about how he was better on his own with amy right new to him. Then , in the last scene , he holds her hand , indicating that he has some sort of feelings foe her.

The Klingon part cracked me up most. :)

I think they were trying to indicate some amount of internal conflict in Sheldon there. Being stuck in the familiarity of his own egoism, versus going out on a branch and acknowledging his need for Amy. The latter sentiment seemed to win through, at the end.

I thought it was a great season finale and it wasn't just all about the humour for once , it was emotional at the end.

They have ended this season with a very interesting cliff hanger . It left people wondering if howard will be ok and how amy and sheldon will progress from the shamy hand-holding moment(GO SHAMY!!!) And it has left some people wondering wheither anything will happen between raj and bernadette while howard is in space ( I don't think anything romantic will happen maybe just platonic). It means that TBBT will just keep on getting more popular by the episode.

Loved the season finale, my favorite out of all five seasons so far. THe wedding scene was hilarious and priceless! The gifts Howard gave Bernadette and the guys were adorable and SHAMY with the hand holding and Amy wearing the Tiara were just perfect.

But, I hope writers stop making Penny so commitment-phobic and make Leonard act more like a man instead of a whiny effeminate nerd with little to no self respect..its starting to get tiresome. Their relationship would be so much more fun to watch if they would both just grow up a little.

For me, it probably comes a close second to the season 2 finale, with season 1 nearby. Seasons 3 and 4 were far, far off with their finales, IMO (both contained aspects I didn't like).

I think they're trying to show that both of them have improved since earlier times, when Leonard's neediness and Penny's commitment-phobia would have led to a separation - now it just leads to some amount of casual friction. So they now understand each other that much better. But they both have a long way to go still, before they reach a place where they can have a healthy long-term relationship - and probably the next two seasons will see them walking that path.

I have to wonder if this will lead to Raj and Bernadette becoming closer (as friends)? This could then lead to Raj learning to tak to her without being drunk adn she could then help him to learn to speak to other women. I know thats a big stretch based on a couple of seconds of her holding Rajs hand while she nervously watches her new husband blast off into space, but what the heck right?

Could you please give me a quick summary of each of the previous season finales because I only started watching TBBT half way last year so I'm not sure if I have watched all of them.

That would be interesting, and not an unbelievable stretch. Given that both the Sheldon/Amy and Leonard/Penny hand-holdings signified something for their long-term relationships, Raj/Bernadette could at least have signaled their coming closer as friends, for emotional support, while Howard is away.

Ahh, how about the ladies fixing Raj up with their co-workers, Amy's lab & Bernadette's giant phara firm could provide some funny moments, but I'm still rooting for the Raj-Stuart bromance, I thought Stuart was hilarious at the movies with Amy.

I agree , there needs to be more episodes with kripke and stuart in it.

I prefer Kripke to be used sparingly, he's a little too annoying sometimes. I'd rather see more of Zack. More Stuart is welcome though. His interactions with Sheldon are amusing.

As for this episode, I thought it was good. Sheldon had some great 'typical Sheldon' lines which I love but the astronaut scenes were the weakest for me. Not sure about the hand holding so it's a case of 'wait and see' I suppose. The last 2 episodes were thankfully an improvement on the very disappointing and possibly worst ever episode 'The Stag Convergence'.

Yeh I thought that was a boring episode aswell , it wasn't very funny and not much happened . One thing I liked about it though was sheldons jokes at the party. They were quite funny for sheldon.

I thought the astronaut scenes were hilarious, Dmitit & Mass talking 'space stuff' aka poodle crap & the fuel leaking while Wolowitz is freaking out.

The hand-holding was touching & for Sheldon the germaphobe, significant.

I just loved the last episode for season 5 :icon_biggrin:

I loved it when Amy was in her pink brides maid dress aha shes so crazy I love her! It was exciting that Howard was off to space and when the gang held one another's hand for the send off of Howard it was so sweet! It was even sweeter when Sheldon grabs Amys hand considering he is keen on hand touching ect. There so cute can't wait for season 6!!

I watched that last scene about 1000 times and each time I felt all mushy inside when sheldon grabs amys hand.

Oddly, I didn't watch it many times at all. There are some scenes between the two of them - the hand-holding, or Sheldon's movie-theater proposal in Flaming Spittoon, or his 'sorry' in Vacation Solution, which touch me so deeply that I hardly feel ready to feel that emotional, much of the time.

Ok, I noticed something and I havent looked at this thread thoroughly so forgive me if its been brought up. But how was Raj able to speak on the roof during the wedding? There was no drink near him, there was no mention of him being hammered or anything to that level. Was that a continuity error?
