more science for sure thats what got everyone hooked at season 1 as soon as relationships started to come in they seem to be losing touch with the season 1 to 3 faithful and are trying to please a larger audience

Since the two are not mutually exclusive, I still claim that the show has always had and will continue to have requisite amounts of both (among a lot of other things).

Everytime I see one of your posts I ask myself why I post at this forum...

Judging by the picture in the user's avatar, I'm going to assume he/she disagrees with you, MissNobodyx.

I actually do agree with MissNobodyx except for the fact that I don't think those two aspects of the show are mutually excusive. Is not science vs. relationships. The show as always been about BOTH aspects. I'd like to see more "Science" (or whateaver the OP wants to mean by that) but I think the balance must be present.

I don't like the "sex" thing though. Not all relationships are based on sex, Sheldon & Amy's relationship doesn't involve sex and yet, it is a relationship as valid as the others. Sex doesn't equal relationship.

I understand. I actually read a couple astronomy books after I first started getting into the show, but I'm not so keen on playing bongos or drinking Grasshoppers this time around. ;)

I like both but I had to vote for Science. With three guys involved with girls and Raj still looking there has been a lot of sex/relationships. I'd like to see more science although that's going to be hard to do with the success of the show. Appealing to a wider audience means more sex and less science. I will say that the higher ratings means the show will stay on the air and that I'm willing to put up with too much sex just to keep watching the show.

I would agree mostly what Sursonica wrote. I prefer to see a balance of of everything. When I tune in to watch this show. I want to be entertained. I want to laugh my ass off, I want to cry and be awed by it's intellectual content. The relationship aspect (not the sex itself) is very necessary for the crying effect. The blending of the nerdy intelligence vs the ordinary girl, Penny produces the laughter, as well as when the guys engage into some deep scientific debates and discussions, which in turn leaves me in awe. I could do without too much of the sexual content of the show. If I wanted to see that I might as well just throw in a porno DVD.

I get several science oriented channels on my satellite package along with PBS. If I am gong to watch a show for the science I prefer one where the science is actually real science and not a comedy show. I personally like the nifty gadgets. I want a security system that has a net what shocks the crap out of people. It would be a real crowd pleaser during a party.

Sex, I choose all sex… absolutely NOOO science at all. Just sex.

(Kidding) I pick science. But don't think you can eliminate the relationship side either.

Interesting poll results.

At this point it is 18 to 3 for science, yet whenever there is a post suggesting that they reduce the relationship aspect of the show and shift the focus back to science / nerd / geek goodness, the replies will be overwhelmingly pro relationship.

Very curious.

+1 for science. Keep the relationships, they are fine as they are right now...

More science-related references, please.
