My favorite Sheldon moment was in the flash back in which he saved Leonard's life by pulling him out of the elevator before the explosive went off.

Not my favourite moment but I watched the episode when they all went bowling today and when Sheldon makes a strike and says to Wil Wheaton...

"Tweet that, tweety bird" Love it! :icon_cheesygrin:

Cleaning Penny's apartment in the middle of the night. The dialogue is classic Sheldon.

"I only drink hot chocolate in months with an R in them."

"Why?"

"What's life without a little whimsy?"

Very, very tough choice. Off the top of my head (since I'm in Shamy-love these days), I would say the proposal in the movie theater, but at least 10 more instances come immediately to mind. The napkin hug, the moment when he saves Leonard's life, his 'acoustic sweet spot testing' in the theater, his paintball sacrifice, his bongo-playing.. where do I begin?

My other all-time favorite Sheldon moment would have to be this one...

Teehee, hence my signature. I've tried it, and it's damn near impossible. :icon_cheesygrin:

Yes it is and I am curious to know how many times he flubbed that line before getting it right (too bad there were never any bloopers from that scene lol)

I have like a dozen favorite Sheldon moments, almost every scene with him is pure comic gold. So I'll just break it up by character starting with his best friend Leonard.

My favorite Sheldon and Leonard moment is the two of them trying to get Penny's furniture up the stairs and how right away in trying to do a simple mundane task you see all sides of Sheldon's hilarious complex weird personality and how he thinks/ behaves around the person who he shared most of his time with at that point it was a classic bit of comedy trying to figure out mathematically how to get the box up the stairs. THen what he says about gravity being a bitch when it doesn't work, what he observes about Leonard doing this for Penny just to have sex with her really shows how all though Sheldon doesn't get sarcasm or facial expressions he does have a keen eye into the human heart or into in this case the minds of his friends. The way he corrects Leonard throughout the process establishing that all though Leonard is main protagonist, Sheldon was true alpha male in their relationship.

Despite dominating Leonard intellectually, Sheldon also shows true caring for Leonard by telling him to watch his fingers when it finally arrives to its destination in Penny's apartment forgetting his own well being. He then ends up smashing his own fingers showing Sheldon is actually very caring person even to his own detriment, but at same time very controlling person by telling Leonard what to do and also childish because his reaction to smashing his fingers was overdramatic the way children do when they are hurt then his mind immediately wonders to Penny's messy apartment revealing his OCD behavior which becomes the main driving force for the entire rest of the episode and much of the show.

Its funny to me how something as simple as moving furniture can provide so much comedy and insight into his character. I honestly think that was the moment that solidified all that Dr. Sheldon Cooper character is throughout the rest of the show that is until he meets Amy Farrah Fowler that is. :icon_lol:

@Bazinga_73 - thanks for posting links to some of my favorite moments. Re Drake equation - the best part is that pleased, self-satisfied smile at end. :)

@Superlovelexi - some very nice insights!

No problem and we all know how Sheldon loves being right ;)....The smile at the end just says 'Ha! I'm smarter than everyone else, and I just proved it right there!'

Next up is Penny. Now the classic best Penny and Sheldon moment most people mention is when Sheldon freaks out about the napkin and hugs Penny during the Christmas episode which of course is EPIC. :icon_cheesygrin:

But, instead of choosing the most obvious I'm going to pick the one when Penny gets hurt and Sheldon has to rescue her, by first rushing into her apartment knocking the whole way lol Then helping her out of the tub, picking out her clothes, helping her dress, driving her to the hospital, the awesome way he kept dissing her while trying to fill out that medical claim form and then his crazy face he made trying to comfort her. Then the best part him singing her Soft Kitty. I'm not a Shenny shipper, but I do love Shenny and that episode alone solidifies why they are so much fun to watch together. It was great seeing SHeldon take on the nurturer role for a change, because in past it was Penny taking care of him and coddling him. Finally Sheldon had to be a Man and do the Heroic thing to help out a friend.

But, the most amazing thing to me was how he was willing to change his own sick song to her likely. SHeldon is so against change of any kind and after all Soft Kitty is the song his mother taught him and he taught it to Penny to sing it a very specific way for him when he's sick. So for him to be willing to modify it and sing it in a round the way Penny wanted even though she had just insulted him shows how much Sheldon cares about her. I truly thing Penny is more of a sister to him than his real twin sister Missy was, which come to thing of it is kind of sad.

I hope Missy returns someday engaged to some guy and Sheldon realizes he's no good and has to stand up for her because I like to see Sheldon become closer to his actual family the way he is to his friends that he treats like family. I mean the only family members that Sheldon seems to like are his meemaw and he tolerates his mother cause she takes care of him, but what about the rest of his family???

As for Sheldon and Penny I hope they continue to take care of each other and give each other presents and to also bicker like siblings sometimes because my newest fav Shenny moment is Sheldon telling Penny "Do you want some Aloe Vera? cause you just got BURNED!!" haha classic! The look on her face was priceless.

One of my favorite Sheldon moments is when he agrees to play the card game to get back at Wil Wheaton, thinks he has him beaten, and then cannot crush "a man who loves his Meemaw." And then, bless his empathetic little self, he gets burned. The whole scene is priceless and well played.

I previously mentioned my favorite Sheldon moment was the elevator scene in which he saved Leonard, but one one of the more witty and comedic scenes I recall most was at the DMV when he was questioning the receptionist at the desk, regarding the driver permit test. She finally gave in and threw Sheldon his permit.

My favorite Sheldon and Howard moment is when Sheldon has to apologize for telling the FBI lady (played by Eliza Dusku) what Howard done to the Mars Rover. The fact that Sheldon was willing to give up his most treasured spot to Howard was adorable and really showed what a tight group of friends they all have become. I also like watching Raj and Leonard's reactions to one of Sheldon's rare moment of selflessness.

My favourite Sheldon moments are the ones where he has to act as a frind and show off the "human side" (Hugging Penny, appology moments etc)....he makes such a cute innocent face then. :icon_cheesygrin:
