Superlovelexi Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Why would the Health Department care if Stuart lives in his Comic Bookmstore or not? No food production No food storage No public access required to be provided for restrooms, water, etc. No reason for rodent inspections or other inspections surrounding the public health. A building code violation/structural problem that needs fixing before occupancy can continue makes more sense, but his financial woes make that a poor choice of storyline. They might care if his depression over his poverty and lack of love in his life leads him to stop caring so much about his own personal hygiene and he would have lots of left over food and cat food cans lying around hoping that one stray cat will still come visit him. Also, the comic book store is zoned commercial business not residential so the zoning commission could see cause to make him move out of there. The main point of that idea was just an excuse to have Stuart move in with Raj so they could learn to be roomies and be less lonely and we'd get to see more of Stuart. It doesn't have to be because of the health department it could just be because Stuart needs a real place to stay with a shower in it and Raj wants another guy companion to spend time with now that Howard is gone. Schrödinger's Cat Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Raj hits on Howard and Leonard enough... We don't need Stuart close by!
MissNobodyx Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I think it would be nice if Stuart was in like 2 of 5 episodes, so he's not a perminant fixture more like semi perminant.
Im_not_crazy Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 You know it would be cool to have a spin off of Stuart, Kripke and Zack - as new friends, it should continue on from that episode where sheldon invited them in his apartment. themightylin Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 What if Zack signed up for an experiment at the university where they gave him pills that made him suddenly super smart like he actually understood everything Sheldon says about physics and even crazier actually fixed one of his mathmatical errors. Then just like Cinderella when the clock strikes midnight the effects of the pills wear off and he's back to being Mr. Dumb and Happy again lol. I love this idea! Maybe even with some not-so-subtle references to lycanthropy. Halloween episode maybe? The fascination some people have with Dale baffles me. Dale was stupid. He wasn't a new, smart, nerd character. He was stupid. So stupid he couldn't process a return on Stuart's cash register. Which, by the way, is a computer. Sheldon or Leonard could have figured out how to do their own return in seconds. Please! No more Dale. I admit I had to actually look up who Dale was, because I didn't remember his name, but I thought he was hilarious! I actually assumed a lot of his awkwardness stemmed from social anxiety and general social ineptitude, rather than complete idiocy. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the writers brought him back, and he seemed more or less normal, (if a little vocally quirky), as long as he wasn't expected to be in charge of anything. If Stewart had left me in charge of the store on a moment's notice, and didn't walk me through how to do returns, I would be intimidated too, and I would probably tell people I couldn't do it. I've never liked working registers, and the only ones I've used didn't even allow for returns or order cancellations without a manager's intervention, and then the customers are angry with you for the inconvenience. Pain in the neck!

Pain in the neck! Exactly; I'm a Dale fan and he could easily be an art nerd like Stuart. Maybe a comic book artist with social anxiety issues. Nerds don't just have to be scientists; he made the most of that tiny bit, which says a lot about him as an actor, I hope they bring him back. Venomous Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 It would have been nice if the writers focused on story arcs involving adventures with Barry, Zack, Stuart and Wil instead of relationship humor. When I think of what could have been....it's sad. Pain in the neck! I agree with your assessment about Dale I think he's a lot more going on than meets the eye. He wasn't just stupid, I think he was just a adorkable nerd nervous about running the store all by himself. I kinda want to know a little more about him. I have a feeling Lonely Larry and Captain Sweatpants have more going on too..and I'd like to know what. I mean maybe at the comic book store they're these lonely losers who read comic books, but maybe they're really smart nerds with great jobs too or maybe they live at home with their mothers like Howard or maybe they are all best friends and Larry, Captain Sweatpants who hopefully that isn't his really name Stuart and Dale all hanging out together just like the main guys do only they are all artistic nerds instead of science ones. MissNobodyx Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I think stuart should move in with Raj that way we could see him more in the show but at the same timee not see him too much!
DippyGirl Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Sorry but isnt this moving the show into -relationships- ? The fresh humour {for me} was the nerd(s) and their interaction with the real world! It wasnt relationships it was their {Shelly, Leonard, Howard and Raj] inability to establish a relationship with anyone non-nerd that was funny {really funny} The initial relationships {for all - excpet Penny/Leonard} was with an equally dis-functional person {again funny } as the relationship normalises the humor dies ,,,, and we have FRIENDS {sob} Live long and ....Oh please sort things out in S6
