Kaley & Johnny relationship

It could be also possible, based on their ages at the time, neither of them were thinking about anything more serious than dating or being boyfriend/girlfriend at the time, so breaking up, although painful, was not as hard as it could have been had their been more of a commitment between them for proceeding to something more serious between them.  That could explain why hiding it and being able to quickly go back to the friends stage worked for them.  Although it could  also be said that even though the flame of their relationship died out, the pilot light is still going, since the have remained so close even still, so rekindling that original flame would just need a little more fuel or a situation that brings them back together.  It is not uncommon for good friends to get together later in life because they are just happy being around each other.

I don't think it was a matter of Johnny not wanting to go public with their romance. Both of them agreed that they did not want to distract from the TBBT characters they played. And I also have to believe that when the producers found out about their relationship they also didn't want them to go public.  This is what Kaley meant when she said they couldn't go anywhere alone. This secretive romance eventually took a toll on their lives and led to their break-up, but not their love for each other. So now without the show as a barrier maybe the door is open for them to rekindle their relationship. The only thing I can see now is that Johnny wants to stay close to his son and Kaley wants to focus on her career in acting and producing. So whatever will be.......will be.

I don’t think it matters to Johnny and Kaley’s relationship, so please discuss this in Johnny’s thread.  Any discussion of this here, will be moved to Johnny’s thread, or removed.

So, whatever will be will be. So  very true!

Not sure how many saw this, but Taylor Hawkins, drummer for the Foo Fighters, was found dead in his Hotel room  Friday Night.  He was a friend of Johnny's and Johnny put up a tribute, in an IG post to Taylor.  Kaley responded with a broken heart emoji in the comments.

We don’t usually allow screen shots of IG stories, but I asked and was given permission to use the following:

Kaley really made that scene, I sometimes wonder how much of a scene like that is actual direction over the actor just running with it.

Most of the time, in visual arts (television, movies, theatre), it is a collaborative effort between the actor and the director.  Usually,  the director will give the actor a general idea of what they want or are thinking of, then the actor will add their own ideas for the scene.   After they run the scene, they'll talk about it and add this or take out that, then run it again.  This will happen over the several days of rehearsal,  until they get what they want.

For example, in this scene, Mark Cendrowski  could have told Kaley he would like an upbeat dance with the French Toast.  Kaley does a dance and adds the "uh" and throws her head back.  Cendrowski likes that and tells her to keep it in, then asks for a bit of shimmy in her dance.    Kaley adds this, but adds more than the director was thinking of and he tell her to pull it back some.  This goes back and forth until the director gets what he wants.

I mention this as I'm just about done with the rehearsal process in a show, we open this Thursday.   A director will, at times, be very specific with what he wants, but the actor still has to provide it.  Unless you were there watching  it's very difficult to separate what the director said from what the actor did.

That is not an interview for the book, it’s an excerpt from the book.  It’s from the Kaley-Johnny chapter.  The chapter, in the book, has more  from the two of them.

Still a good excerpt. Can't wait to read the rest of it.

I see what you mean. In the shimmy part of the dance Kaley twirls and you can glimpse a part of her under garment, Don't think that was meant to be shown but a little exposure probably didn't hurt.

That was great! Thank you so much for sharing. How I love these two ❤️ ❤️

They did consider getting married!! This was news to me!!

The marrying part surprised me, too.

I'm putting this here , not sure if it's the right place but I've just read that on another forum. Still from Jessica Radlofff's book .  “Penny and Leonard were supposed to break-up in later seasons, but the writers reversed course at the last minute.“

I'm quite curious to read J&K 's thoughts about that.

Shows to me that the writers really ran out of ideas for them if another break-up was planned for them. I'm glad they changed their minds. I also wonder when in the later seasons the break-up would have taken place , like before or after their first wedding ?

The breakup could have been in Season 8, 10, 11, or 12. Up to the final 2 episodes. They were always either arguing or she was snarky to Leonard. What was with her taking Sheldon's side in the arguments between Leonard and Sheldon?

It is funny scene.  Sheldon throwing out the french toast was a classic for the ages!    But did we every found out where that giant men dress shirt come from?  It was not Leonard shirt for sure.  Way to big.  LOL
