Penny and Leonard sometimes act like there Sheldons mum and dad which is cute and very funny like when they argued who was taking him shopping. Or Penny and Sheldon show a sister, brother relationship. So defiantly no. In fact I have very seldom seen them respect each other as adults. More often then not Sheldon treats Penny either with disdain or a as a surrogate mother. At the same time Penny usually treats Sheldon as though he is a small child. There is absolutely no mutual respect as mature adults between them. I'm pretty sure we see these post now just to get a rise from the great majority of fans who find the Shenny: a) puzzling bizarre c) repugnant d) all of the above. This has been debated in this forum ad nauseam and this particular poster didn't bother to add a reason for his position or a reply to any of the counter post. Since we know this will never happen (the producers have said so and the list above is pretty much the feeling of Kaley Cuoco on the subject) there is really no reason to debate it further. But it should not be penny as I mentioned earlier, thats just wrong :O I wouldn't like to see Sheldon develop an attraction to someone else after all Amy's hard work with the experiments. However, the relationship between Sheldon and Amy has developed quite a lot since her first few times with him so I don't know exactly how (if they were to promote the relationship between Sheldon/Penny) they would break the relationship off with Sheldon and Amy without it being too cheesy. Also, although I would practically go into a fangirl frenzy if Shenny happened, I don't know how they could create a perfect set up without it being just WAY too cheesy. He's definetly that one woman kinda guy. What if Sheldon had developed Object sexuality? not right now, but say before he met Amy. Just interested to hear your thoughts.
