Season 6 spoilers

Would have been really surprised if it turned out to be another Shamy ep. Though I've gotta say, as much as I like Raj and think he's hilarious, I'm just not invested or terribly interested in his story. I blame the writers for that...he's kind of become a tertiary character. I wish that weren't the case, but there you have it. Anyone else?

I feel the same, I'm not interested in his stories at the moment to be honest. I like him a lot paired up with Howard or Stuart but don't really care for him on his own. But I hope that the writers will make him interesting again and change my mind. :)

eta: OMG PSA Fun with Flags!!! I'm suddenly excited haha!

So I guess they're going to divert Penny away from school and back into acting? I don't know how I feel about that. A part of me is happy because that's her dream, another part of me was hoping she would get excited by something a bit more "earthbound" if you will, something that would bring her closer intellectually to Leonard.

From the other forum.

moyrani says:

I am out. Title is The Monster Isolation. Picks up right after the v day episode tag, following Raj and Lucy in their coffee shop date. The title refers to Raj since he isolates himself after Lucy kinda blows him off in the middle of their date. All ends well when Lucy tells Raj why she cannot date him. Turns out they're both "broken" so she ends up agreeing to another date.

Plot B is starts with a Fun with flags episode featuring Penny and Sheldon, which turns into a plot about how great Penny really is as an actress. She helps Sheldon to be less robotic in the webisode and he later says she did a great job after Amy tells him to thank her. Penny reciprocates the compliment by inviting Amy and Sheldon to see her in A streetcar named desire. Kaley really did well in her scenes. Made Penny look like a legit actress.

I am still trying to recover from seeing Jim in a wifebeater top ondulating his hips like a stripper. Sorry, that won't be in the episode but I shall take that image to my grave. drool.gif

Regardless of what else happens in the episode, if Fun with Flags is making an appearance, it's a good one in my book.  From last season, the 10 seconds or so of "Ich bin ein Bavarian.  And ich bin ein a pretzel."  with the outfits and then Leonard's dry expression still kills me.

About Penny's school vs. acting career, who says they have to steer her in only one direction?  Maybe both can start doing well and she has to make a choice or else juggle both.

Thanks Kellee!  Looking forward to the report. :icon_mrgreen:

Penny has never been academic and she pretty much made it clear that thinking about studying science was enough to do herself in.   She also didn't seem to do well with her history class and needed help writing the papers.  I think they were pointing out that Penny is not "student" material.   So, I guess the writers have heard many fans complain that she should be given an acting job.   Sounds like they decided to go back to giving her a play.    Maybe they will continue to give her bit parts.

I am glad that there is a FNF episode, but hope dialog will reveal some further closeness between Shamy.  I really am not expecting big things, but maybe more eye coitus kinds of stuff.

Raj...well I am glad he is getting a love interest, although they have made him sort of cartoonish up until now so it is going to be hard to take him seriously in a relationship in a way.   It will be interesting to see if they can change that image we have of him being "girlish", lonely, etc.   He has really been wonderful with Howard and that was my favorite relationship he has had...their bromance.   While he is okay with Stuart, they don't click quite the same.   So, maybe the Lucy character will work well.  I am open to see what they do, but agree that I don't want them taking too much airtime away from other couples and spending a lot of time trying to build them up quickly or something like that.

Thank you Kyzzx!

So I wonder where is Leonard in all of this? She asks Amy and Sheldon to see her play but not Leonard? Is this another thing she feels she can't tell him until just the right moment? I'll wait to read the full report before jumping to any conclusions.

She invites Amy too. I think Penny is hoping for a threesome. (insert Kripke's pervert voice).

You are the best at this stuff. I can't compete.

Anyway, if it was any other fanbase, i would say, good. They get a few Sheldon and Penny scenes and it will shut them up for a while. But we have to hear about how great their chemistry is even if the scenes are horrible and they have no chemistry. It will be great and spectacular and destroy the chemistry Johnny and Kaley have together and the chemistry Jim and Mayim have. It is sort of pathetic we can predict their reactions before hand.

Eh, I say let them cling to hope despite all evidence to the contrary.  If we don't want to read it, we can put them on our ignore list.
