Thank you Kyzzx!

So I wonder where is Leonard in all of this? She asks Amy and Sheldon to see her play but not Leonard? Is this another thing she feels she can't tell him until just the right moment? I'll wait to read the full report before jumping to any conclusions.

I would say she had already invited him, he did go I believe.

Thank you for the report!! It sounds like a lovely episode, with the Raj development and the guys coming to realize Penny has actually some talent!! :)

So, Sheldon in a tank top......did Amy faint there? Seriously, I don't think she has ever seen him so "undressed", so she has to have some kind of reaction, at least in terms of facial expressions.... I'm really hoping for one!! :)

Thanks for the report.  The worst part about wed morning is going back in the thread and finding the report, lol.

This sounds great.  So happy for Raj, and for Penny!!  Can't wait to see her acting skills, and sounds like Sheldon is being very Sheldon in this one and can't wait to see him in a tank top.

And, another sex-type joke from him in the beginning... they are building it up, aren't they??

Thank you for the report.   To be honest, it sounds to me rather "meh" but I know it will be better when it airs, I guess.  I don't understand what the purpose of it was.  It seems rather "filler" other than the Raj scenes.  None of it seemed to move any of the storyline forward (L/P, Shamy or Howardette) beyond Raj and Lucy.   I don't even think it sounds that fun to me.  It seems rather a let down after so many wonderful episodes in a row.

Huh?  You acknowledge that there's development in Raj's scenes (a large portion of the episode) but think it's a "filler" episode?  Additionally, with Penny's scenes, we're reminded (after how long?) that she's still interested in acting and that she's doing quite well.  People have been asking for development with Penny's acting for years.  Surely you don't think the established relationships are the only storylines worthy of development?

Thank you so very much, Monique and Kyzz. Great report.

I believe I am going to enjoy this episode. It is good to know that Raj has found somebody with as many problems as him : peas in a pod.

I am delighted that Penny and Sheldon will get to spend some time together for, even though I am not a Shenny shipper by any stretch of the imagination, I greatly enjoy the way  K. Cuoco and J. Parsons work together as actors and the interactions between Penny and Sheldon : their relationship works on so many levels (mother/son, big brother/little sister, big sister/little brother, best enemies, emotionally immature compadres, etc.) that it always makes me laugh. And they never fail to tell each other what all the others are afraid to tell them.

So happy we are shown Penny has talent as an actress ! I feared the whole thing may be another opportunity for her to get humiliated but... Hooray ! She deserves to have something she can do very well. I do not mean to push but what part does she play ? Blanche or Stella ? And what bit of the play do we get to see her act ?

As for the most important part of the episode : the wifebeater ! Nice throwback to the iconic scene in A Streetcar Named Desire and Brando's no-less-iconic chest. Though I doubt Sheldon will go as far as ripping it in half while yelling anybody's name (and, anyway, if he had, Monique and Kyzz would have told us about it I do not doubt), it is bizarrely sweet of him to "get in character" like that for his own little play. Sheldon always goes the extra mile when it comes to costumes.

All in all, I look forward to it.

Apparently the final scene was not about the play..but actual street cars.

I don't doubt it but it is inspired by A Streetcar Named Desire (if only the title). Basically, what I got from the report is that Sheldon decided to "improve" Williams's work by making it about something he cares about, namely streetcars (and other forms of train-like transportation devices) while paying tribute (or lip-service) to the original play. Hence the wifebeater.

What?! How did I miss this? Must be the lack of sleep! *Laughs*

Raj desperately needed something to develop his character. Out of all of them as has been said on here many times before, he has not had much going on with him and that is a shame because Kunal seems like such great comic relief on the show behind the scenes. With what little he had been given I'm surprised he has left out of shear boredom.

Penny too needed some screen time that was not her relationship with Leonard nor her friendships with Amy, Bernadette and Sheldon. Having her in this play makes me excited to see the episode and while I miss the Shamy interaction it can be left off for one episode to give the other characters some much needed development.

*Laughing* How did I not see that as sexual? The line made me laugh but I took it as one of Sheldon's usual digs at Penny's promiscuous behavior completely missing any possible  sexual awareness on Sheldon's part. He always seems so utterly oblivious to such things that it was an easy miss.

I think the more sexual part was the speach with spreading legs and opening up......
