I don't get it. Why is it so appropriate that Amy is Snow White besides the fact that they are both brunettes? Aren't Snow White and Sleeping Beauty pretty much the same (i.e. awakened by a kiss)?

Snow White is a very innocent character in the Disney cartoon and that really matches Amy quite well.

How DARE YOU! :p

They are SO NOT THE SAME!

Snow is sweet, kooky, brave, sincere, curious, orderly....while Aurora is demure (somewhat), delicate and vapid, playful.

hahah! OMG why do I feel like I've said Star Trek and Star Wars are the same thing??

My apologies, I know nothing about Disney princesses besides the overall storylines. (And sometimes not even that).

Thank you Monique and Kellee for your reports.   I think this episode is going to be so funny and give a very "light" feeling.  After some of the more "serious" episodes, this one is going to be a lot of fun.   I can't wait to see the girls all dressed up as princesses and what perfect picks for each of them!   I can't wait to see the boys fail so miserably in front of a classroom of middle school aged girls. :icon_lol:   I am especially fond of Raj's date though.  Oh my gosh that is going to be so adorable.   All around it looks like a great episode.  I am sad we have to wait until March to see it.   :icon_redface:

Monqiue or Kellee, can you tell us who wrote this one?   Was Tara involved?  For some reason it sounds like it has her all over it.   :icon_lol:

I find myself reading through Raj/Lucy's date over and over. Just from how sweet and funny and touching I find them in written words, I'm almost wondering if they're going to compete with the Shamy for me. (I know, I know, huge statement to make.. I'm just loving their interaction too much). :) Let's see how it plays out with the actors.

I think they have a very similar dynamic in the sense that they're both psychologically messed up in the same way Shamy were all up in their brains. I think these dynamics are always endearing to watch, as opposed to the opposites attract kind of thing. But there's no way anyone is ever going to top Shamy for me :p

Then again, I never really ship anyone (with the exception of the good ol' FBI agents), so I'm most definitely a hard one to hook.

Maybe Lucy and Raj  will  be able to help each other overcome fears, heal each other. If she will be in show,  so often like Alex, maybe that is cure for Raj: LOVE.  It's the best for everything. We have example: Shamy!

I know that now someone will think it's trivial, but I don't care, Sheldon and Amy are beautiful people, all of them are beautifull , and most of all love is beautiful, :icon_razz::icon_exclaim:

Hi!  This is my inaugural post on this site.  Jpegs and gifs to be added at a later date.  :)  I also forgot the taping reports are on another thread, and was refreshing this thread till 3am(!), wondering where the report was!  Der.  I'm also happy to see Raj and Lucy getting on so well in their early dates.  Do we call them Rajy now?

Oh hell yeah, I agree. Shamy will always be my number one but my #2 will be Raj/Lucy...depending on how far their relationship goes of course. I truly appreciate those unique relationships that we never get to see.

Writers in this episode (for who ever asked)

Story by: Chuck Lorre, Eric Kaplan & Steve Holland

Teleplay by: Steven Molaro, Jim Reynolds & Maria Ferrari

I'm looking at the program and I have no damn clue what the difference is betwen Story and Teleplay so I just wrote both. LOL.

Monique: Story are the ones who write the plot itself, the main events, like the big idea. Teleplay are the ones who adapt that into the script. AKA the actual dialog

First things first, thank you so much Monique for the report. It is not easy to remember so many things, especially when caught up in the fun. You did an amazing job.

Raj's story : it looks like a genuinely superb move by the writers. The idea of the library-texting date is stupendous and the lines couldn't be funnier or more moving, in a slightly disturbed way. The auto-correct "failures" are amazing and they give Raj something very interesting to do ; usually he is portrayed as perfectly comfortable with the fact that he is "feminine" (or could be classified as such) but, because he is on a date with a girl he cares for, he tries to play it a bit more macho ("I like sports") but with enough self-awareness and self-deprecation that it shows a very sweet side of him (he knows she won't fall for that crappy explanation... So he just has fun with it).

Overall, I am really liking this storyline for Raj. Admittedly, I don't know much about the girl yet and the status quo they're in for the moment can only last for so long but the very humble beginnings of  their relationship are incredibly tender and moving : they're both so adorably screwed up.

The boys : I find it a bit weird that they did not immediately think of asking their female scientist friends for help or guidance but I get it... We needed to see them fail spectacularly before they called the girls to the rescue. Poor Leonard really cannot catch a break, not even when "fighting" with what ? 12-year-old girls ?

I also like the whole "let's get girls interested in science" thing. There is quite a trend these days for that kind of operation and they always stink ! Not because women shouldn't be involved in science, of course, but because the messages used in those ads/PSAs/speeches are invariably vaguely patronising (the EU did one of those recently and it was sooo bad !) : it is always something like "you too can be Marie Curie" which, like the episode cleverly points out, is no party. Obviously, she was a genius and she'll always be remembered as such but her life story is not necessarily one people, boys or girls, would want to emulate. How about Grace Hopper or Mary Cartwright : they were great women of science and had fun ! There are many of those in history books and in labs today. Why always Marie, as if she were the only one ever to have existed ?

The girls : Ah ! The eternal friction between wanting to be taken seriously and wanting to be a pretty princess. It's an old one but it is a good one. And it is a nice parallel with the guys and their Comic-Con extravanganza. Many girls want to be princesses just like many boys want to be superheroes (or Space Cadets) and it does not negate their other accomplishments or endeavours.

Again, I enjoy Bernadette showing her true "bossy little devil" colours; she really is a pocket-size demon and if she wants to be Cinderella, nobody should stand in her way ! Amy as Snow White ? There couldn't be a better choice. As for Penny as Sleeping Beauty... Well, first I wonder if it is an inside joke about Ms. Cuoco falling asleep at work on a regular basis (!) and secondly, another great choice in terms of physical resemblance.

The end ? Priceless !

I think I really am going to enjoy this one.

My pleasure to do it for everyone :-)

You can thank my pen and notepad for two reports I have written so far and more in the future. LOL. Without that, because of all the distractions on set, you guys would get one paragraph of nonsense. LOL.

The story is what the show's about, like a fanfiction say. The teleplay is where they turn it into a script so it can be shot. includes camera directions, expected reactions ect.

something like.

Interior L/S Apt. Day

Camera zooms in on Leonard pummeling Sheldon to death with his laptop.

Over the screams, we hear a voice

Penny: Leonard you're right the new roommate agreement's worse than the old one.

Leonard returns to reality.

Leonard: Yeah, I need to start looking for a new place to live.

And so and so forth.

It'd make an interesting teaser.
