Season 6 spoilers

Recommended Posts

What's funny about this exchange between Amy and Raj on the couch is they were both tipsy from the alcohol they were drinking so when she says that it almost has a flirtatious undertone to it. LOL. He looks at her back flirtatiously and smiles back. In the second take, he actually leans in close to her face a bit before backing away again! LOL.

Thanks for the  taping  report Monique and Kyzzx.I love you for that.

Wow sounds great. I imagine them dancing together. Did Amy danced with Sheldon, or with whoever?

I assume that Raj is alone again during this episode. To bad, it would have been a nice way to introduce Lucy to the group. Also her seeing Sheldon would probably make her feel better about herself because he is really socially inept.

Yeah, but I imagine that it would be hard for her to suddenly be in that group, especially with a bunch of people who know each other so well--and then, of course, it all gets a little emotionally intense.

I imagine she'll get introduced to the gang before the season is over.

Sounds great, but I want to know which one was the actual letter!

It would be interesting if it was the "secret life" thing--what if his dad was a spy or something! :D

I also love the image of Sheldon putting Amy's body in front of his--which means he had to grab ahold of her... :p

Is there will be another date of Lucy and Raj? Raj invited her on a date so I wonder how it will be. And I hope too  that Lucy will be introduced to the group. And how girls  will react on her?

Thanks for the taping report!  It seems like it will be a great episode.  I'm looking forward to the Howard/Bernie central storyline.  I have always really appreciate Simon's acting.

Thank you so very much for the taping report, especially considering the extraordinary circumstances ;)

I try really hard not to get to excited about episodes beforehand because between taping night and airing day, so many things happen, in particular in the editing room. Nevertheless, this one sounds quite wonderful.

It is a very good blend between an extra insight into Sheldon's original behaviour and particular brand of childlike innocence (I cannot wait for his "please, he said it's ok" to Daddy Leonard* and for his "self-pwnage", telling others how to trick him :)), a nice ensemble participation, a great show of solidarity and friendship between the characters (it is good to be reminded of, all joke aside, how much they care for one another), a little reference to how they have all grown up in a way and can only continue forward, and Howard.

Mr. Helberg is such a remarkably talented actor. When Howard was creepy, he really gave me the creeps. When he started changing, he genuinely made me feel for this poor clueless guy who was trying his hardest. And now this... It is good for both Howard and Raj no longer to be just the comic reliefs of the show. They're developping into fully formed characters (admittedly, it has been going on for a longer while as far as Howard is concerned) with a couple of very interesting layers.

Really really looking forward to it.

And again, thank you to our intrepid reporters !

*What can I say ? Little Boy Sheldon is my favourite Sheldon.

Did they show the finished previous episode--the Contractual Obligation?

Oh, and do we know the writers for the new episode?

Oh, and do we know the writers for the new episode?

I believe Monique posted that a few pages back.

Yes! They showed it.

I will tell you and be the first to admit I seem like a grouch when I'm watching television because I do NOT laugh out loud. Hardly ever, even if I think something is funny. I laughed so much at The Contractual Obligation. It's just hilarious.

It actually has my favorite Leonard scene OF ALL TIME (when he's talking to the middle school kids, omg, Johnny does such a great job). Then Howard at the end when he's making his way across the room to Bernadette... LOL.

Thanks--somehow I completely overlooked Monique's post!

So, Contractual Obligation airs on the 7th--do we know when Closet Reorginzation airs?  Will it be the 14th or the 21st?

It's so hard now that they're going to be more spaced apart. :(

I'm getting so many happy TBBT feels from 6.18 and 6.19. Loved both taping reports.

So I guess these two are airing on 7 and 14 March? (That works for me.. I'll be away for a conference and some visits from 17 March to 4 April).

Also, Monique - thanks so much for the behind-the-scenes tidbits! I'd so like to see the bit where Kaley pushes Jim right across the hallway. :)

I hope that this episode will please the people that think Sheldon is no longer like the old Sheldon, cos it seems like a great big dose of OCD Sheldon in this one :)

True, but then they'll all use the human shield thing to bolster their argument that Sheldon is a rotten boyfriend.

Now that makes me terribly happy.

Usually, Leonard has two primary focuses : Penny and Sheldon. Most of his "meaningful", big scenes are with them, or to be more specific him reacting to them, and while I am a big fan of both relationships, I have always been quite eager to see Leonard on his own, in a more introspective mood, without the weight of his love for Penny or Sheldon's influence. And I seem to recall that this scene is pretty much all about that : Leonard remembering the very reasons why he chose, or did not choose, to become a scientist. And, of course, his dream career as a rapper/break dancer ! Bless his soul.

Mr. Galecki has an unparalleled talent for pathos : he can play pathetic without making it tearjerkingly sad, which is extremely rare.He can make you empathise with his character without making it so dramatic that you can't laugh at the situation he is stuck in. I remember him doing quite a lot of that on Roseanne and I look forward to seeing it again, as a stand alone piece as it were.

That's a good point. Johnny is really amazing at his reactions to other characters and sometimes I think it's overlooked how great an actor he is in his own right. I remember a scene from Roseanne where he was bawling about nearly losing his baby, it was heartwrenching.

Yes, a big "appreciate ya" to those who attended the taping! I'm most looking forward to the scene where everyone tells Howard a statement about his father's card.

Amy has had some great lines in the last few episodes.

A brain tumor would explain a lot!

Yeah, yeah, you want a cigarette... I want a normal boyfriend!

Someone agree with me... please.

Oh, yes she definitely has.  I mentioned in another thread or two that my favorite is her taunting the monkeys with, "That's right.  They're no good without the lighter."

I don't think Sheldon's a rotten boyfriend per say. I think the problem is that Sheldon was the perfect boyfriend for the original Amy.  Amy was the way she was because of circumstances, Sheldon is the way he is because he likes it that way.
