That being said, I kind of doubt she'd show him everything. I mean, a bikini wax wouldn't necessarily mean that she had anything extreme done. If she were simply cleaning up her bikini area, in most cases the idea is that what shows around the edges of a bathing suit or bikini bottom is cleaned up. It doesn't necessarily mean that she stripped off all the hair down there or got some design done or whatever.

I love it in the bloopers when he just throws his head back and guffaws. There's that great one where Sheldon is asking Penny if she and Leonard are friends with benefits and Kaley accidentally says, "Just benfits, no mail" and Jim laughs out loud--and does that little fist thing.

Jim breaking character during taping is always the most delightful aspect of the bloopers! I've heard that it happens only rarely, during tapings, compared to the other actors. The Jim/Kaley moments in the season 2/3 blooper reels and Jim/Mayim in the season 4/5 blooper reels were the best part of them, I think.

When I was in school I knew a girl who was very hairy--on her arms, anyway. She had dark hair and her younger sister had blond hair. The younger sister wasn't hairy, but I can imagine that the older sister, if her legs and other body parts were as hairy as her arms, probably would have had a lot of hair removed without necessarily doing some kind of total stripping.

Besides, in the US, I don't think most women do much more than cleaning up their bikini "line", which doesn't mean removing all of one's pubic hair. I mean, what would you be trying to achieve in doing that--going for a pre-pubescent look? Yikes.

This episode sounds like it will quite the riot. Thanks for the report. I really like how Sheldon is essentially tricked into giving his spot to Howard.

On a second note, even though it doesn't surprise me given how notorious this show and sitcoms in general are when it comes to things like this...no follow up to the major ILY moment from last week. Kind of annoying when shows like this do something major like that and then act like nothing happened in the next episode.

It seems TBBT is adverse to doing continuity on important story lines. They do something heavy then wait to finish up an episode or two down the road and in between they have something slapsticky. Maybe they want to keep the viewers in suspense or balance serious content with fluff,

I so agree with you on this! This wasn't some ordinary storyline they were moving along. The ILY from Penny was long awaited by a very large portion of the fan base. I believe a much larger fan group then wanted creepy Amy showing Sheldon how many bandaids she can place in her "proud area"! Like Sheldon would even care unless there was some mathematical hypothesis of just how many bandaids a women can place there after a wax job!

I tend to agree with that. After reading the last spoiler my reaction was WTF! It was like the previous episode never happened. The writers even seem to have purposely kept leonard and penny away from each other in this episode which doesn't make any sense. TBBT is a romantic comedy an always has been. From the first episode leonard loved penny and penny liked leonard and always treated him differently from all other men. I guess the bottom line is that this sounds lime a very funny episode, but it is in the wrong place in the episode sequence. I really think that if they have a episode after this one, as a follow up to the ILY episode, it is not going to have the same impact with viewers.

Just one more opinion I would like to add to this episode if I may. By Amy doing that in the backseat made her look, and this is just my opinion, a very desperate women. All of the Penny haters can now be quiet!

I think a lot of people is jumping to conclusions on the Amy matter. It never says that she showed him her parts, he just mentions band-aids. If she wanted to show him her bikini wax, it wasn't even necessary for her to remove her panties, and even if she did, Sheldon is her boyfriend! if she's gonna show it to anyone, it should be him. He didn't get offended by it, so I don't even know why some people is even making a deal out of it.

And regarding Penny... really? "slutty" because she has sex with HER BOYFRIEND? are you kidding me? I just don't get it. She's in a stable relationship with Leonard, I don't see anything "slutty" about it.

Although I disagree that Amy never gets a free pass, actually she and Sheldon get an unequivocal free pass no matter what they do. Amy is without a doubt creepy yet in this forum she is "unique". Even though up until this season she hit on Penny more often then she did her supposed boy friend Sheldon. I stand by what I stated earlier Amy acted like a very desperate women when she had Sheldon go to the backseat of her car. But it isn't her fault. Bernadette told her like it is and she knew it was true. Right now Sheldon just isn't where everyone else is.

I think all the characters except Sheldon are pretty much trashed by some parts of the fandom...and from what I saw most of the hate is towards Leonard and Amy...although now it seems like L has gained some sympathy points because of Penny

And frankly Sheldon is the only character that gets free passes all the time...even in episodes like TAD and the awful TBPU he was given a free pass........

It didn't have to be said. It was implied. When we can't see something, this pretty much means we can use our imaginations. How ever she showed him her wax job, it was shown to him because he mentioned the Band-Aids. The way I watched Amy painfully walking up the steps leading to Penny's apartment yesterday definitely makes the band-aid comment make sense to me.

Also, as far as people supposedly making a big deal out of it...I don't think anyone here has. Of course people may be surprised or shocked. I know I was. Doesn't mean it's bad....I was just shocked. It was one of those things I didn't see coming....like Sheldon stripping his clothes off in Howards new car. SHOCK. LOL.

Anyway, as for them not addressing the "ILY"...I couldn't care less. That's just me though. I love Leonard and Penny but I've never been one to get all worked up about a story that hasn't been continued on into the very next episode because I know they'll get to it when the time is right. There are other friendships and relationships that need focus as well....not just those two.

Yeah. She's desperate to have sex. She's so pathetic. But it's normal for Penny to take Leonard to her room whenever she feels threatened that another girl likes him or whenever he makes that sad puppy face. It's normal behavior to have sex with your boyfriend. It's also normal for Bernadette and Howard to have sex at the parking lot that they were fighting over.

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just repeating what you all just said. Every freaking character gets a free pass to those who are in favor of them, especially Sheldon-- that freaking weirdo who's such a special snowflake. Let's just agree with that. Those who like Amy understands her and doesn't find her creepy. Those who like Leonard doesn't think of him as a jerk because they know what he's going through. Those who like Penny thinks it's normal behavior that she ask for sex, since she's a woman with needs after all. And Sheldon's free to do anything because that's just the way he lives.

Chloe, sorry, what I meant there was that band aid would be a safer term since nobody but the writers are sure what she really showed Sheldon. Who knows? She might've turned into those problematic emos who slash their limbs to literally "feel the pain". I don't know.

My "yet" pertained to my personal feeling that Amy is most definitely creepy but also interesting beyond the creepiness. I'm sorry if the Shammy crowd are paranoid enough to take that beyond the singular.
