Keep in mind that on the show Sheldon would not have any friends if Leonard had not come along. There are not many Leonard's out there.

On that I agree, of course. Their circle of friends was made possible when Leonard came along -- I know that much. This series really has a nice story line and it is all the more reason why I'd love to continue watching it  :)

Compared to most members here, I am fairly new to the series.  I just got in to it last season because my friends kept telling me "You are Sheldon from Big Bang Theory."

I finally gave in and checked it out.  I absolutely love this show and Sheldon with all of his quirks.  I can empathize with his internal struggles and social awkwardness, he's the fictional version of me!   I've never been able to connect or relate to a character before, so discovering Sheldon is one of the more (sad) exciting things in my life.   So in a way, BBT is invading my life every day.

Interesting..! :)

It'd be nice to meet you in person then, you know. If meeting Jim Parsons was impossible, then maybe people could just approach you and then get the whole "Sheldon aura" all the time.  ^_^

Let us know if you have friends who are similar to Leonard and Penny as well. That'd be cool..! >.<
