As it has been pointed out, Raj has evolved essentially into a peripheral character. He's not likely to do anything of real importance. He's had some good moments, and hopefully will have some more. But it's doubtful he'll become a plot centered point of emphasis. His window of opportunity seems to have closed.

Raj and Stuart seem to be the new bromance. Since the writers don't seem inclined to come up with a lot of new ideas what we will probably see is a rehash of the old Raj and Howard scenarios.

Yes the original Idea and cast are changing. Jim Parsons seems to be everyone's Idol except mine. While I appreicate his talent, his character drives me crazy. Why would any one including Mr Milktoast Leonard put up with his Crap in real life. I have a Love/Hate feeling about Sheldon. But my hate out weights my love. YEP I know this isn't a popular view.

I was just thinking about this the other day--couldn't Amy maybe help get him into some kind of experimental treatment? Maybe they insert electrodes that stimulate certain parts of his brain, or maybe even get him into a hypnosis treatment.

Then, of course, things could go terribly awry, having him say inappropriate things (the way he does when he's drunk, except maybe more non-sequiter), or like the good old-fashioned hypnosis gag, have someone inadvertantly saying his "trigger" word changing him back and forth from suave ladie's man to mute nerd man.

Anyone ever see the old Danny Kaye movie, "The Court Jester"? :D

Raj only had one very small line this past Tuesday night. My sense is that they are looking for a direction for the character in that how do they mainstream Raj as openly gay. He had an 'ersatz homosexual relationship' coupled with the inability to speak to females ( which could result from a perception of competition) makes it seem as though they would like to go in that direction. Perhaps they will have Raj keep an ambiguous duality just like the Amy character has a duality to her sexuality.

I agree. I don't see any "Raj is gay" agenda at work. I think all the bromance stuff with Howard, and to a limited degree, with Stuart, is simply an ongoing gag. He's always been interested in women and has had a few sexual partners, all female, except for his mistake with Richard the Slave Girl.

They may or may not give him a girlfriend anytime soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if at least by the end Raj ends up with a girl of his own.

I would like to see Raj date Alex, Sheldon's new assistant. I think they would be great together.

I want to see more Raj/Stuart scenes and I want to see Howard come back and be jealous over it.

I want to see Raj actually feed, walk or play with his DOG!! I mean I know animals can be difficult to have on set, but Raj would so be the type to be super obessessed with his adorable FEMALE puppy just like he was with his phone Suri.

I want more Raj/Sheldon scenes cause those are always funny and i like to see Raj and Amy spend some time together too. Perhaps Raj could go on a girl's night with Amy, Penny and Berndette and spend part of it unable to talk and then other part drunk and talking too much.

I think Amy doing experimental electric work on Raj's brain, namely the amygdala, by attaching electrodes or via hypnosis (or a combination of the two, electro-hypnosis?). And hey hey ...it could be called (get ready for this)...The Thrilla In The Amygdala!!!! ( yes I stole that from Amy,sue me.No,actually do not sue more as I have no money).

@phantagrae : I LOVE that movie! I had the whole "The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle. The chalice from the palace has the brew that is true!" scene memorized, and I still do for the most part My father rented all the Danny Kaye movies for us kids.I LOVED the Inchworm Song from Hans Christian Anderson and The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty reminds me of me. He rented other musicals as well, such as Carousel, Bye Bye Birdie,etc. My favorite has to be the original Music Man, as well as Brigadoon.

After the last episode when Leonard teases Raj about not being able to talk to Alex, he can stay mute, as far as I'm concerned! I thought it was hilarious. If looks could kill!

I'm wondering if Stuart's comment about living there is another one of those TBBT moments that was not thought out by the writers. It has been established that Raj lives in a one bedroom apartment. If they aren't sharing the bedroom then Stuart must be sleeping on the couch. Raj's living room didn't look like anyone was sleeping there.

Then again, Priya lived with Raj and there was never any sign of her sleeping on his couch either. Maybe Raj and Priya are closer than the show let on. Perhaps that's why Raj was so upset with Leonard...

I thought about that, too--but I figure Stuart must be sleeping on the couch and maybe keeping most of his stuff at his room at the comic book store. Who knows. I think it must be kind of a throw-away bit. I can't remember from the upcoming taping reports if they have him continuing to live there. Hmmm...I may be forced to go and re-read them.

I also wondered that with Priya, and also when Sheldon came to stay with him when Sheldon was trying to keep Penny's secret.

And again, in last season's episode where Sheldon's mother comes to stay for a few days before her cruise--where was she sleeping? I would have thought Sheldon would have given her his room, like he did with that Dr. Plimpton woman, and that he would have slept on the couch, but that first night after he stomps off into his bedroom, he comes out in the morning when his mother is making pancackes--he's obviously been in his room, but where did she sleep? I'm assuming that Leonard slept in his own room...

Who says they aren't sharing the bedroom? Stuart could have an air mattress on the floor like when Sheldon stayed at Howard's. We havent' really seen Raj's bedroom much really, so it could be bigger than it looks. And I hope its not a throw away cause I like that Stuart is living with Raj so they can keep each other company and not be so lonely. What I'm curious about is what happened to the dog Howard and Bernie gave Raj. Raj mentioned her in the premiere, but she wasn't in the apartment during that scene. I guess they could have kept her in bedroom, but really they should at least used artificial dog barking sounds if they didn't want to deal with having a actual pooch in that scene. Still stuart petting that cute little dog while sitting next to Raj on the couch would have made the gay innuendo even more obvious lol

Actually, I think it would be hilarious if they did a HIMYM send off, with Raj playing the part of Ted.... and ending with an old Raj saying "and that's how I met your mother".. with a couple of kids looking back at him in disbelief etc.

Of course, it'd have to end as a dream sequence..with Raj sitting on the couch staring off into space, with everyone else looking at him quizically because he just muttered "...and that's how I met you mother..." out loud in the middle of pizza night or some such. *insert funny sheldon retort etc*

There should be a scene where Raj is talking in front of Penny and the moment he realizes it runs away.
