I agree..

And Sheldon's part was like to tell the audience that what Penny actually did was an impression of Leonard

I don't think that's what his reaction was "for"--it was just to make a goofy moment even goofier. It was a goofy-sounding voice that, IMO, wasn't supposed to be a real impression of Leonard, just an exaggeration of a "dumb" person. And then Sheldon's reaction was goofier because the audience knew that it did not sound just like Leonard.

That's how it struck me, anyway.

Well now. Lets see. I guess I could respond with either:

A: (In the true spirit of internet forums) Sorry, but you are wrong, wrong, wrong and I am right, right, right. My opinion is obviously in agreement with the majority of people on the planet and I have reasons A, B, and C to back myself up.

or:

B: Oh well, I guess different people interpret things differently.

I choose B. Have a nice day Pomita. It's always good to chat with you.

Lol. :) Same here.

rewatched the episode and I laughed fun episode..the L/P stuff was amusing so was the S/A, chess clock too. I especially liked the end with Penny as the prom queen and the cowering Bernadette and Amy. The Leonard/Penny material was entirely in character, it worked like earlier seasons, same with Sheldon and Amy. If people want a newly mature Penny and Leonard commencing a serious adult relationship; if people want Sheldon and Amy to have a sweet touching romance; read fanfiction (that's exactly what I do if I want Shenny). Don't watch for the ship as comedy comes first. You'll enjoy the show far more that way and not be disappointed.

Mature, romantic, serious relationships is fanfiction? These are all adults, that is the natural order of life! The last I checked they are all in either their late 20's or early 30's. They may be nerds but they are all human (I'm considering Sheldon as human in this discussion even though Leonard told Alex Sheldon is actually an alien. Lol!) :)

IMO Sheldon and Amy already have a sweet, touching romance in their own way. Just not in the way the rest of the world would define one. They're in their own little cocoon; she finds his Relationship Agreement and his Spiderman quotes romantic, delights in his playing games with Hawking, gets him to hold her hand in the theater and jumps at a chance to visit the Science Museum with him; she truly considers him the best boyfriend. He is fascinated by her brilliant mind, can't survive a day without talking to her (begins to worry if she's been eaten by a bobcat), fantasizes about her falling dandruff and reaches out for her hand when in need of emotional support. They do Fun with Flags together and visit scientific book reads and train shops and the zoo; and the occasional cozy spaghetti-with-hot-dogs at home. That's how they roll, and whether anyone else sees it or not is irrelevant to them.

Of course, I like fan-fiction too. :)

After 2 really good episodes this one was a stinker to say the least. The only thing I liked was the Sheldon/Hawking business. Penny is just your run of the mill benadict arnold. She wouldn't let Leonard in on her school work, he snuck and read it anyway, fixed it she got all moody. Yet in the end we found out she had Amy and Bernadette write her paper. Talk about the ultimate form of hypocrisy. Can only hope tonights episode is better.

Fixed it? If anyone tried to 'correct' my work, I'd dump them on the spot. Its not fixing anything. Leonard offered to cheat by writing the paper. How is that any different than Penny getting the girls to write it, instead of him? This episode was about their relationship not about the paper. Neither of them have the moral high ground here.

Precisely. To fixate on the morality of cheating/not cheating is missing the point - it's about their relationship, Leonard needing to always smooth things for Penny and Penny's insecurity that she isn't smart enough for Leonard.

I don't think that Sheldon found Penny's mocking to be funny. His response implied to me that he thought that the impersonation was realistic.

I have also been around physicists most of my life. My degree is in physics and my father was a nuclear physicist. I'll grant that there is always a certain amount of ribbing between people of different disciplines, but nothing like what Sheldon does to Leonard.

As i'm sure you know, is that Sheldon is no regular physicist. He's a "highly regarded physicist with the kind of mind that comes along once, maybe twice in a generation". His brilliant intellect is blocking his social intelligence, thus allowing him to rib on Leonard without him understanding it. As Bernadette says: "Sheldon doesnt know when he is being mean, because the part of his brain that should know is getting a wedgie from the rest of his brain".

Did not like how penny was to Bernadette and Amy after they helped her

Penny was in full "Queen Diva" mode in this episode like never before. Leonard places her on such a pedestal she thinks at times she is exercising her "rights" to be a bitch to Leonard and her two girlfriends.

I wouldn't go as far to say she acts like a bitch but she does get defensive when they kind of insult her intelligence which is kind of understandable especially because she is so self conscious about how smart or not smart she really is...

Also as far as Leonard goes I think the reason he asks "are we still dating" is because of the insecurities he's been experiencing through the entire relationship. He gives her his love day in and day out yet at this point doesn't know how she feels about him and that can be scary

Wait for the next couple episodes :) I think you'll be pleasently surprised

Yes, from the spoilers, it will be a big change. :icon_wink:

I hope that 6.06 is the last episode that we witness the effects of Leonard's spoiling of Penny. They have her act explosively defensive when ever she believes Leonard is questioning her intelligence. That's been a problem since their first date four and a half seasons ago.

Am sadly way behind on my online watching routine, so recorded show yesterday from tv.
Rated it very good as I love the way the writers are somewhat going back to earlier great stuff & letting some characters evolve in a mature & nice way!

The last thing Hawking did with the brainteaser & Sheldon's facial expression, had me squirt coffee all over the place...

Now I'm really looking forward to the next episodes I still have to catch up on.

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this question, but I hope someone can help me figure this out...  At the 19:40 mark, when Sheldon gets the call from Stephen Hawking...  What is that ringtone??   I've been doing searches all over the place, but I can't figure it out.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.
