She is beautiful but that don´t awesome me. If for some reason she needs to leave the show and they put another "beautiful blonde hollywood young woman" doing a similar paper (another guy´s new neighbour maybe?)...I think I will be acostume in 1 or two weeks. I will not miss her.

As for Jim Parsons, hell he has done great work on the stage. He could move to New York and do one broadway play after another for the rest of his life. I expect he will do as much in hollywood as he wants. Don't look for either of these talented people fo fade away.

Ar Diem's got a very good point.  The examples are numerous.  Don Knotts never really got over Barney Fife.  The rest of his career was some form of a Barney Fife Character.  Max Baer got typecast as Jethro characters and finally dropped acting and went into producing and directing.   The problem is Sheldon, as with the above characters, is such a unique character that the actor gets identified with that character and it's hard to shake.  George Takei makes a facetious  reference to the problem in The Hot Troll Deviation where he and Katey Sackhoff bemoan the fact that all they can get are rolls resembling their Science Fiction roles.

That's sadly true. It makes some people go 'he's just playing Sheldon' if he delivers anything remotely resembling his style or mannerisms in TBBT, which is bound to happen because after all it's the same person playing both characters, even if he takes great care to differentiate them.

Nevertheless, he did get a significant amount of acclaim and popularity for his performances in both Normal Heart and Harvey. So I don't think he'll have any problem in doing well on Broadway, even if some critics insist on typecasting him.

In many ways Kaley has the most extensive filmograhy of anyone on the show even though she is about 10 years younger then the others.
She has been a major character on three successful TV shows.
Her appearances on these shows have totaled over 200 episodes.
Only Johnny has a similar number.

Kaley has also done extensive voice acting. Voicing characters in about 200 animated episodes.
Not exactly something her looks have an effect on.

Many 27 year old actresses are still playing teenagers. So the transition will not be as big for Kaley as some suggest.

Yeah and when Don deviated from it and tried to play the goofy straight man opposite Conway it never had the same comedic punch.  He was too perfect at the Barney-esque role.  I still love the Barney type movies.  Except for Limpet,  I watch them at least once a year.  I wish he had done 3 or so more.

I don't know if he has any history at it but I imagine Parsons would be a great stage actor.

Kayley Cuoco is the type of girl that gets an grouchy/moody/sullen exterior when she adds a few pounds. She stops being the cute happy cheerful girl we all know and love in the show.

The last episode (episode 12) is a good example of that. That combined with the "conservative" way she has her hair in the later episodes, makes her look unlike the joyful young girl we associate with her character.

Have you noticed that Kaley has really stareted showing her true age?

I mean In the first two seasons she still could pass for a young waitress/actress.

But these days, she really looks the 40+ middle aged maid that she is.

Despite all the makeup she wears, we can clearly see all her crows feet and wrinkles, do we not?

And talking about makeup, I recently chatted with one of the shows makeup people, and she said that these days Kaley has to spend more time on makeup that John Rhys Davies did on the Lord of the Rings movies!!!

Do not get me wrong! I like mature women, but thing is that very few mature actressess could pass for a young waitress. And Kaley is not one of them.

Is K.C. beautiful?

She's looking kind of old for 27. She's carrying a few more pounds, ass is a tad bigger, hair looks like crap most of time. Clothes not flattering. Eyes become buggy-eyed. (in Episodes 5.18, and 6.2). In episode 6.5 when she tending bar with Amy and Bernie, is that a lot of make up on her? It looks like she's been tanning quite a bit (her face and her arms down to her hands). If so, by the time she's 40 she'll be more wrinkled than a prune. She's got man hands. Not sure about her feet.

Now before you ladies call me a M.C.P.

I have this to say. She better not have kids. Her ass won't get through the door.

Thanks for listening.

But with all those faults she's not that bad looking. (for now)

I'm always open to opinions from the ladies of the forum.

Mounted Canadian Policeman? Idk but are you on a word budget? Edited by Nogravitasatall

27 is hardly 'mature,' and Kaley is a pretty woman. If she's ever looking frumpy, blame the wardrobe and hair department.

I don't agree. Kaley is underrated, she has great comic timing. Some people think she could just be swapped out for any other pretty actress but I think they are wrong. What other actress on an american sitcom can deliver lines like her? Not any I have seen lately.

I watched '2 broke girls' the other day for the first and last time. The dark haired female is supposed to be the main comic and the lines aren't bad, but she just can't deliver them in a way that makes them funny. It's rare when someone can because comedy is notoriously difficult. But Kaley can. She can be funny with just one look. She may not become a great hollywood actress but I think she will surprise people. I can see her never being out of work.

I think people underestimate what she does because she's pretty. She has amazing presence onscreen. Whenever she's in a scene she just lifts it and it's not just her looks, she only needs to say one word sometimes.

Listen up K.C.,

cheers folks, going off to the strip bar soon with some buddies.

P.S. Thank god I'm a man. We don't have to worry about aging.

Are you going for the "all you can eat" buffet, like Kripke does? Careful, because that can mess with your portion sizing. Use a small plate and keep track of how many times you go back. Drink lots of water too.

Ms Cuoco's hair was less disciplined but still long this last ep.

Overweight? I guess no one here has seen her in the Esquire Mexico or Self Magazine issues.

I wouldn't use airbrushed (photoshopped, I suppose, would be the current method, LOL) cover photos as evidence of anyone's true body shape.  She's hosting the People's Choice Awards in a few days; that will give a better idea of what her figure looks like.

Kaley isn't stick thin, thank goodness, and very few women can maintain the figure they had from teens or early 20s.  Beyonce was much thinner during her Destiny's Child Days than she was at 27.

I do not think anybody would disagree. She is one of the main reasons the show was a great success. And thta is not the issue here in this topic.

However, the last two  seasons she has radically began to look different. One the one hand, her hair is often styled in ways I associate with middle aged American bible belt woman (I exaggerate a bit). One the other, she has gained a few pounds (if it was just her body, it would not be a problem, but it is also in her face/neck). This makes her look a lot older than the previous seasons. And that is a great shame, it does not suit her character.

But she IS older than in the previous seasons. She's not a robot, of couse she's going to age, like everyone! (well, except for Winona Ryder, but I have the suspicion she's an android).

Kaley started the show just coming out of her teenage years, and her body reflected that. As the years progressed, she turned into a woman, and her body shows that now-. your face structure changes as you get older, it happens for everyone!

I can't stand Conan!  Not funny.  At all.  And you have to put up with 20 minutes of crap before the first guest comes out.  But I'll try to watch Kaley's interview on the interwebs the next day.

I watched it last night. Don't normally like him either but he was actually funny. The interview he had with her was funny too. She looked pretty good. Had the spray tan going.

I was responding to all those previous posts who said she was just a pretty face and replaceable. I don't deny she looks older. The changes in Jim during Season 5 caused almost as much controversy on this forum. Personally I think they all look older. The character has changed over the years anyway. She's not the pretty wee thing across the hall, with very little personality anymore. She's much sassier than she once was and yes she looks different.
