I have been a Big Bang Theory fan since the beginning, but hooking up Roj and Stewart as a gay couple is a deal breaker for me. I am getting off the bus. Done with the show. Spam me if you want but I wont be checking back.

What makes you think they're making them a gay couple? The jokes or wordplay about them is no different than what has gone on between Raj and Howard all along. How come you didn't jump ship back when Howard took Raj roller-skating? Or to the La Brea Tar Pits ("Come on, let me take you someplace nice...")??

Neither Stuart or Raj is gay.

Uh, their not a gay couple. Neither Howard, Raj or Stuart are gay. Howard and Raj have been acting like they were married since the beginning. Using quote Phantagrae used. You watched it then, why is two men who 'act' like a couple bother you now?

That's not what they're doing. Same kind of comments we heard from Howard and Raj since Season One. Raj is not gay and neither is Stuart. TBBT has always gotten laughs from playing Raj as the metrosexual foreigner that says questionable things. Nothing new here. No paradigm shift in the lives of the characters.

FYI when people get really wound up about a gay or a supposed character it's usually due to internalized homophobia.. I was really mad when Ellen came out..lol.

though going to the Sound of Music sing-along is pushing the envelope :icon_razz:

Would you have felt the same way if it had been Raj and Howard going to the SoM singalong? Because apparently that is something H&R usually do (since Howard says "that used to be our thing...")

I think it's pretty clear that Stuart isn't gay and that he caught the double entendre about "filling each other's holes" right away and called Raj on it. And clearly Raj didn't intend it to mean what it sounds like it means.

Agreed, when the writers want a gay character they're very clear, never ambiguous. Lakshmi said she gay & so was the guy in the lunchroom that Sheldon talked to (can't remember the episode). Tho' they're having fun as even I know that the Sound of Music Singalong is a big male gay event.
