BazingaFan
Loved the episode. It was another really funny ones with some classic lines! Just like HowWeDoItInTheShire, The only thing I also didn't really like was how Amy was jumping on Wil and Levar. I mean they barely said a line and she was telling them they sucked. I get that the episode was Sheldon taking up for Amy over a friend. I love that. But Amy was a bit out of line here And l also cracked up at a drunk Sheldon at Wil Wheaton's place. We've seen drunk Sheldon before, but this was the BEST by far.
JoeSal90
We've seen drunk Sheldon before, but this was the BEST by far. Yes indeed BazingaFan, with drunk Sheldon barfing at Wil Wheaton's place this one is in the middle of "The Pants Alternative" and "The Grasshopper Experiment" in the book of drunk Sheldon moments
Fruit Loop
Well, considering that they now have even Stephen Hawking playing himself, and allowing himself to be portrayed as kind of a jerk. It obviously has nothing to do with being a washed-up actor. Maybe not but Wil Wheaton hasn't had a real Gig in 20 years. Sorry I never paid attention to him and while I loved "Stand By Me", I can't say I associate Wil Wheaton today to that 30 year old movie. Sorry I am not his fan. . Tensor
Can you define a real gig, Fruit Loop? He's worked every year since 1981, and multiple times every year since STNG ended. Whether you like him or not, almost every actor out there would love to have that kind of career.

MJistheBOMB
Great episode! Drunk Sheldon makes this episode my favorite so far! Boy, is Jim amazing. Hell, I'm amazed by anyone who can play drunk and make it believable. LOL It would have been nice to have a scene showing Sheldon & Amy resolving their little issue and showing her thanking him for what he did for her, especially considering she totally WAS being an ass to Wil Wheaten....and later to Lavar LOL. Other than that, this episode kicked ass and I'm gonna watch it again on CBS.com a.s.a.p. Monique Edited November 9, 2012 by MJistheBOMB
Guest I'm not dead Cheryl
Is true, Amy was a pain in the ass in this episode, but I liked it anyway. Every character has been a pain in the ass at some episodes, and every person is a pain in the ass sometimes. Also, I found it extremely funny and it was what made the point of this episode to come across. That even if Amy was in the wrong and Sheldon knew it, he still made everything he could to keep her with him, and to keep her happy. After this episode, I don't understand how can some people still say that "Sheldon is in the relationship against his will"... He went out of his way to make her happy, even if it meant riding a bus, drunk and try to get into a fight with one of his idols. Amy means even more than Star Trek to him. If that's not love folks, I don't know what is.
MJistheBOMB
People are actually saying that? I don't see him being forced into this relationship at all. Have people forgotten he's the one that asked her to be his girlfriend? LOL. Anyway, clearly, he cares for her enough to have her back....even if he messes up along the way. Superlovelexi
Really Funny episode. Love Drunk Sheldon! The bar scene and the scene at Wil Wheaton's house were funniest ones to me. :D At first I wondered if Amy didn't like Wil Wheaton because she knew about the way Wil treated Sheldon back when he was on Sheldon's list and how he tried to break up Leonard/Penny or how he lied about his grandmother being dead just to win. But, then she was also rude to Levar Burton at the end of the episode too and thats when I realized that she was just acting exactly like egomaniac Sheldon does most of the time and I just had to laugh at how crazy yet adorable they are. In previous episodes when Sheldon tries to take over a project or teaches a class he tells everyone else they are doing things wrong and makes them looks stupid and it was kind of fun to see them sort of switch places again in this episode. Its actually funny to me to see how much Sheldon has rubbed off on Amy and Amy has rubbed off on Sheldon. I hope we get to see more Fun with Flag podcasts there hilarious. And I wonder what gift Sheldon will buy her the next time he pisses her off. I hope its a Pony! or maybe even her very own action figure. The Howard moving out storyline was good too, I was nervous it turn out boring or annoying to see them arguing over moving out, but it was really turn out kind of sweet when Howard told Bernadette that magic story and you can tell he was really more lonely back then than his mother was and that he just loves his mom so much its both endearing and creepy. A part of me thinks it would be funnier watching the three of them trying to live together at the house yelling at each other and Bernadette morphing back and forth between her cute sweet self and then acting like Howard's mom with that voice, but on the other hand I really do think Howard needs to move out and act like more of a grown-up now that he's married so I'm a bit torn here, but either way it goes I do really like Howard/Bernadette together they are just adorable and their fights seem to always end sweetly unlike say L/P. i was actually glad to get a break from the L/P relationship drama this week, especially since yesterday was my B-day. gobalicious
I really didn't like Amy this episode. It felt so odd since she's become so endearing over time. She was completely in the wrong acting like that to Wil and then Levar. Sheldon should have told her how rude she was being. When Sheldon gave her the Star Trek DVDs, I was struck how nice that was, yet Amy completely brushed it off. She should know how much Star Trek means to him and how meaningful it is he wants to share that with her. So far we've learned Amy doesn't like Star Wars, Star Trek, or many other nerdish things Sheldon does. I'm not sure how Sheldon ever came to respect that. I'm tired of Amy and Sheldon bickering. Hopefully we can have an episode of them doing something together they both enjoy and show why they are meant to be together.
annieogly
What an unfunny show. I had such high expectations as I love Fun with Flags &, Wil Wheaton & let's face it everyone loves drunk Sheldon. Amy was controlling and mean, rather than her quirky funny self. Bernadette morphed into Howard's mother and both Howard and Sheldon came off as downtrodden males. Ugh, what a horrible cliche. Penny wasn't even there except for one moment when she was smiling, pouring the Long Island ice teas and I thought things would take off comedically...they didn't. Poor LeVar Burton... Im_not_crazy
I agree, this was not a funny episode at all. I had really high expectations but this was not that great. I'm going to get a lot of hatred and mean comments for this, but I'm just giving out my opinion. Is it just me or is Sheldon sounding more and more different these days - especially in Season 5 and season 6? He has like a softer voice and I don't know just an overall different expression. Grasshopper
Well, contrary to annieogly saying "unfunny" I would have to say that re-doing one of the least popular themes, Fun Flags was a daring challenge, but to redo it and make it work as well as this one did was a great accomplishment. Also, as a fan of Penny and Leonard, for me to see a show without any interaction between them 2 and still enjoy the episode was also a great accomplishment. Sheldon ROCKED in this one! I am also glad that I tuned into this episode without any knowledge of any of the previews, as I have done all season. It always leaves the surprises for me to see during the episode, and not like a week before it airs.I really enjoyed tonight's show and I believe I will re-watch it after posting this message. I do agree on one negative side of this episode, and that is the fact that Amy did over react with her film directing. Understandable that she was somewhat harsh on Wheaton, with her knowing of Sheldon's prior conflicts with him, but the way she immediately cut off Lavar Burton at the end was un-called for. I'm_not_crazy, I don't see why you ought to get any hatred. You're opinion is valued as much as anyone else. Everyone here looks for something different in the show. I really didn't notice the softer Sheldon voice except for when he got depressed when he realized Amy was really mad at him.
phantagrae
Loved it! What I loved the most about the Fun with Flags segments was how Amy was accusing WW and LB of being wooden, etc. when it was Sheldon who was painfully stiff and awkward. He reminded me of local business owners who make commercials and they're all awkward and flat with no motion in their faces except their mouths. Sheldon's delivery was so wonderfully flat and odd and Amy completely overlooks it. And while she was being kind of rude and unreasonable, I think it was still rude of WW to call her a pain in the A-S-S (!) to her face and Sheldon should have at least tried to soften the situation--but of course he doesn't know how and he's so wonderfully clueless about understanding rhetorical questions. Loved the bar scene with JP sucking those drinks down in 2 seconds! And Sheldon talking a out his pubis... YIKES! LOL! "That low-down polecat done wronged my woman..." :D "Which of your shrubberies would benefit from a thorough vomiting? Never mind, I'll choose..." :D
vasu
I did not understand the ending of the H\B plot....can we now assume that Howard has completely shifted to Bernie's house(their house)??? If not I'd not be pleased...I mean how many episodes we had regarding the same issue...4.16,5.03,6.01....and it's not longer endearing its annoying..... Hopefully this couple will get some new and refreshing stories in the upcoming episodes.. Penny says she is a terrible waitress (after 5 years of waiting tables this is how she summarizes herself ) ..... though it looks like a set-up for something new for Penny Sheldon-Amy plot Why not have Amy and Wil Wheaton equally wrong in the opening scene...I mean for god sake they had him doing horrible things like breaking up L\P in order to win a bowling match , using dead meemaw card to defeat Sheldon. Then Sheldon's conflict would have made much more sense and it would have been very easy to sympathize with Amy But with the scene we got to see its really difficult to feel sorry for her as she was being a pain in the ass which Wil Wheaton correctly pointed out Big Bang Theory to me has always been funny until now and I think it still will be in the future......but one important thing is how they will be able to continue by still having all the lead characters endearing...a quality which I feel has been reducing for the past few seasons Edited November 9, 2012 by vasu

netmouse
Initially I thought I had downloaded a previous episode from last season, but once Wil Wheaton popped his head in, I settled back and enjoyed one of the better episodes thus far. Simon Helberg seriously needs to get into film. His acting is through the roof these past two seasons. Becoming such a fan of this guy. Sheldon's fisticuffs with Wil was lol funny. Lots of giggles this week. Three smiles up :)
BazingaFan
I think it makes perfect sense for Amy's insecurities to bring out this side of her. Fun with Flags was her thing with sheldon, and now he has brought others in. Jealousy is not a good quality, but it is human, and Amy is human. I find it more believable than some of the creepy things they have made her do in past episodes. And, I think the whole point of the story is that Amy was wrong, but Sheldon stood up for her anyway, which shows character growth/change for sheldon. I was looking forward to some humorous interaction with Sheldon & Will. However instead we got rude Amy. I think we can safely say that evil Will is long gone. Will was correct in calling her an ass because she totally was. At first I thought maybe she just wanted FWF to be her and Sheldon's thing which I could have understood. But it didn't for me come across that way. She was totally rude and in the wrong and Will called her out. (Go Will!) that left Sheldon for the rest of the episode trying to appease Amy. Why I don't know? His thought last week was spot on "dump her". Amy was making a power play and Sheldon bit hook line and sinker! She is in total control of their relationship now. Therefore, I no longer want to hear how Penny takes Leonard for granted. Amy now knows there is No Way Sheldon breaks up with her. She is the queen and he now is just her servant. Now getting to the H/P issue to answer your question Vasu, my take is they are right back at Howard's mother's house. Penny was absolutely right at the Cheesecake Factory when she said he will never leave his mother. Bernie is getting extremely angrier about this. I would agree with you that the storyline is getting old, but I think they are moving to a very big blowup with H/B later in the season about this. Bernie will not take it much longer nor should she. About Penny saying she isn't a very good waitress coupled with her tending the bar last week and saying I hope life gets better than this and her going back to school. Thy are I believe clearly moving to something better for Penny. I just don't know if it as an actress or what. Although with all the shots she has taken from both Sheldon and Amy about her "acting career" it wouldn't surprise me if she did win an acting job. Overall I gave this episode a "good" rating. Although it was entertaining to me at times I thought it wasn't up to all of the earlier episodes this season. Edited November 9, 2012 by SodidIwin? rickfromillinois
I thought that it was boring. I can't recall any scene that stood out and made me laugh. There are previous episodes that I would have enjoyed rewatching then I did seeing this episode, When this one makes it on the re-run circuit I will not see it, nor will I go back and rewatch any scenes agains.
