The string quartet are practicing.

Leslie: I admire your fingering.

Leonard: Thank you.

Leslie: Maybe some time you can try that on my instrument.

Leonard responds with awkward looks of confusion

Later , the rest of the guys leave

Leonard: That was fun, Leslie, thanks for including me.

Leslie: You’re welcome. If you’re up for it we could practice that middle section again.

Leonard: Uh, sure, why not.

Leslie: Just so we’re clear, you understand that me hanging back to practice with you is a pretext for letting you know that I’m sexually available.

Leonard: Really?

Leslie: Yeah, I’m good to go.

Leonard: I thought you weren’t interested in me.

Leslie: That was before I saw you handling that beautiful piece of wood between your legs.

Leonard: You mean my cello?

Leslie: No, I mean the obvious crude double entendre. I’m seducing you.

The writing combined with Leslie's dead pan and Leonard's hilarious facial reactions made this scene perfect . Sex jokes often are redundant because there are a lot of them in many shows  but this scene put a new spin to it...... this is one of best example of an Oblivious-Guy/Horny-Girl pairing joke

Another really funny and sweet scene from the same episode

Leonard: What did Penny mean, you’d make a cute couple?

Sheldon: Well I assume she meant that the two of you together would constitute a couple that others might consider cute. An alternate, and somewhat less likely interpretation, is that you could manufacture one. As in, oh look, Leonard and Leslie made Mr and Mrs Goldfarb, aren’t they adorable.

Leonard: If Penny didn’t know that Leslie had already turned me down then that would unambiguously mean that she, Penny, thought that I should her, Leslie, out, indicating that she, Penny, had no interest in me asking her, Penny, out. But because she did know that I had asked Leslie out and that she, Leslie, had turned me down then she, Penny, could be offering consolation. That’s too bad, you would have made a cute couple. But while thinking, good, Leonard remains available.

Sheldon: You’re a lucky man, Leonard.

Leonard: How so?

Sheldon: You’re talking to one of the three men in the Western hemisphere capable of following that train of thought.

The entire episode is like a reference to how a character based episode should be done.

The plot was pretty simple , Leslie seduces Leonard but just wants a one night stand . And Leonard is more focused on what Penny would think of it.....That's it

Both the writers and actors do a wonderful job of showing Leonard's state of mind to the audience. At each stage of this situation with Leslie all he could think was what Penny would think of him . It was sweet, endearing, funny and authentic . Sheldon is also excellent with his awkward reactions to this Leonard/Leslie situation . And they also showed through Penny's subtle reactions that she does have a thing for Leonard

All in all this was one of my favorite episodes of the show.

Still my favourite episode to date, especially the little responses from Penny that shows she cares.

Penny: Okay, okay, you know, I get it, Leonard has no business being involved with a waitress slash actress who felt so insecure that she lied to him about finishing community college.

Sheldon: Why would you lie about that?

Penny: Well, he was going on and on about this college and that grad school and I didn’t want him to think I was some stupid loser.

Sheldon: You thought the opposite of stupid loser was community college graduate?

Penny: You know, there are a lot of successful people in this country who are community college graduates.

Sheldon: Yeah, but you are neither.

That exchange is one of the most important to TBBT canon.

Season 1, Episode 10 - "The Loobenfeld Decay" Sheldon: I'm uncomfortable having been included in your lie to Penny. Leonard: What was I supposed to say? Sheldon: You could have told her the truth. Leonard: That would have hurt her feelings. Sheldon: Is that a relevant factor? Leonard: Yes. Sheldon: Then I suppose you could have agreed to go. Leonard: And what would I have said afterwards? Sheldon: I would suggest something to the effect of, 'singing is neither an appropriate vocation nor avocation for you, and if you disagree I'd recommend you have a CAT scan to look for a tumor pressing on the cognitive processing centers of your brain.'

"You're right, I have nothing to worry about. That skanks your problem, not mine."~Amy

That right there. Is why I love her. LOL.

LOL! I love how the last 3 posts in this thread show why these two are made for each other. Total disregard of other people's problems, lol! :p The interactions between S/L and P/A are so similar sometimes it cracks me up.

I have a few favorite moments.  I love the scenes in which Howard and Bernadette and he's not doing well, both with the astronaut training ("I ate a butterfly") and while in space.   The rest are mostly Sheldonian.  In "The Terminator Decoupling," I just love the way JP delivers the lines "You forgot your flash drive, you forgot your flash drive" and "No one calls me Moon Pie but Mee-maw!".  The look on his face is priceless in Herb Garden when Leonard is probing him about the rumor.  In "The Staircase Implementation," the bit is great in which S and L agree that if one of them ever invents time travel they will go to their apartment in 5 seconds, and then they both look around hopefully.

Also, I really love moments when it's the guys supporting each other against some outsider like Penny's ex-boyfriend, Speckerman, even Penny in the pilot.  We really get to see in those moments why S and L are such good friends.

Oh, I love that moment sooo much (Herb Garden) when Sheldon is sitting at the his laptop and Leonard is trying to fish the gossip out of him and that look on his face, "Yes....why do you ask???" LOL! Priceless.

Sheldon and Lalita leave the bar after their convo about Princess Panchali

Raj: What just happened?

Leonard: Beats the hell out of me.

Howard: I’ll tell you what just happened, I just learned how to pick up Indian chicks.

In Nerdvana Annihilation when Penny apologizes to Leonard

Leonard: No, I needed to hear it.

Penny: No you didn’t. Look, you are a great guy, and it is things you love that make you who you are.

Howard: I guess that makes me large breasts.

Sleazy Howard at his best :D

I just love that if you look at the screen right after that, when he opens up Amy's window, you can see that they're calculating all sorts of speeds of meme transmission through various node configurations. Oh I love their geekiness so much.

Speaking of Shamy being made for each other, I was just watching the Wildabeest Implementation and poor Leonard. lol. He walks out of the apartment where he had to endure Sheldon's jab about him losing his edge and Einstein's sex life to find Amy on the stairs telling him trivia about women wearing heels and telling him off for ogling her.

All in all this was one of my favorite episodes of the show.

The part I marked red is one my favourite quotes from Leonard ´cause I love such sentenses. And the Leslie/Leonard scene with the cello was really funny too :D

One of the most classic dialogues I love from the pilot is this one:

Penny: So, what are you guys doing for fun around here?

Sheldon: Well, today we tried masturbating for money.

I always crack up about this :D

Or this one from Season 2 epsiode 19:

Penny: Okay, new topic, please. Hey, did you hear the people upstairs in 5A are moving out?

Leonard: Shh-shh-shh!

Sheldon: What?

Penny: The people upstairs are moving out.

Leonard: No!

Sheldon: The horror!

Leonard: Why would you just say something like that?

Sheldon: No, no, no, no, no, no, no…

Penny: How else was I supposed to say it?

Leonard: Slowly, like putting a new fish in a tank. You don’t just drop it in, you let the bag sit in the water a while.

Sheldon: The horror!

Penny: Sheldon, I’m sure it’s going to be fine.

Sheldon: No, it’s not going to be fine, change is never fine. They say it is, but it’s not.

Penny: Okay, honey, did you even know the people that are moving out?

Sheldon: I never met them. That’s what made them perfect, there were no awkward hellos in the halls, there was no clickety-clacking of high heel shoes on hardwood floors, they may as well have been a family of cats just jumping around from drape to drape without that annoying ammonia urine smell.

Penny: Well, I’m sure the new people will be just as quiet.

Sheldon: You can’t know that. How can you possibly know that?

Penny: You’re right, I can’t. You know what? Anyone could rent that apartment now, an opera singer, the cast of stomp, yeah, a tap-dancing pirate with a wooden leg.

Leonard: Why are you making it worse?

Penny: I tried making it better, he wouldn’t go for it.

Howard (after Raj whispers to him): You’re right, that’s a great idea.

Leonard: What?

Howard: I’ll take the apartment upstairs. I can finally get away from my mother, and we can all spend some more time together, if you catch my drift.

Penny: The horror!

esp. the parts I´ve marked red.

and then this from Howards mother in Season five episode 19:

Mrs Wolowitz (off): Howard Joel Wolowitz! I’ve been worried sick for two days, and I know you turned off your phone! You open up this door right now because I’ve had it up to here! I have been to the morgue and the hospital, and I spent the last half hour walking up these ferkakta stairs!

Then Howard sais: That’s my ride, got to go. (Whip sound) -> the whip sound made is so funny of course *LOL*

Just thought of another favorite line.  In The Recombination Hypothesis, Penny asks Leonard, "Are you some kind of a nerd?" and he replies, "Not just some kind of nerd; I'm the KING of the nerds!"

All the scenes between Sheldon and Leonard's mother were fantastic. "Her reasoning is unassailable, it is one o' clock".

Also, the "Panty Pinata Polarization" had some excellent scenes between Sheldon and Penny.

Finally, I also enjoyed the Sheldon-Raj scenes in general, particularly when they're trying to solve that problem and work on it for ages.

Edit: I also forgot about the "Leonard is going... to the office" scene in Season 2 Episode 7

"I'm Batman....  ssshhhhhh!"

And after Penny cut Sheldons hair, the "ahm.. well... it's little hollywood". Love the way he pronounces here. And the discussion before about the dirty jokes he never understands.

Playing doctor Star-Trek way. "I'm in hell Leonard....    Don't stop!"

Raj: "I am the new homo in town!"   cracks me up every time.

The corn pecking movement!

Amy and Sheldin at the movies: Hammerhead sharks - Love them. Handholding - not a fan.

and a all time favorite: Rock Paper Siccors Lizzard Spock

Watching TBS this week I'm reminded of two other moments. In the Spaghetti Catalyst:

Penny: You're just coitusing with me, aren't you?

The other is from The Vegas Renormalization.

Penny: I went in there a few weeks ago when you guys weren't there, and I forgot it there.

Sheldon: You went in...why wou...what are you saying?!!

Penny: It's no big deal, I was making coffee and I ran out of milk.

Sheldon: YOU'RE THE MILK THEIF !!!!!!! Leonard said I was crazy but I knew the carton felt lighter.
