Nogravitasatall Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) I don't get it all either. They are complementary, and non-rivalrous. There is history I think that Disgusted alludes to, but some of it relates to the perception of Sheldon as being an obstacle to L/P. He's not always the sweetest fellow, to either Leonard or Penny. Some of it arises from the response to criticism of Sheldon and his transitions from "no deal" to "deal". There have been challenges mounted to the contention that the character change portrayed from s1-3 to s4+ is unrealistic. Much heat has arisen and ingenious ripostes exchanged. I was told to jump off a cliff, which was very specific (and the suicide method of choice in Sydney - the Gap near Vaucluse), but I chose otherwise. And the 21 min cake is too small. So to that extent, there is rivalry. not a comprehensive answer, but a quick stab at it. ETA. Tripper should publish a history LOL Eta 2. Lorre actively stabbed L/P in the heart a number of times and it could of been fatal. Shamy is perhaps being a victim of benign neglect. Maybe it resolves to who has bigger scars. IDK. But every cut hurts, even paper cuts. cheers and thanks for asking. Edited July 30, 2013 by Nogravitasatall
