Ship Zone Leonard And Penny Shippers Thread (Possible Spoilers)

Never thought of that, but that would be a way to move the L/P relationship along. Another couples relationship event could show Penny that her and Leonard's relationship has been on hold because of her, so she decides to do something.

 

That was basically the whole plot of The Launch Acceleration last year...H/B getting married inspired A and L to push their partners forward.  L's attempt didn't work so well but maybe after a year of maturing, P will be ready to move to the next level, whatever that may be for them.

Season six seemed to ignore the previous season and did a reset to the L/P relationship.  I felt it went back to season  three when she was unsure and then took a different path.  I could be wrong though, because I never did understand that episode with her telling the girls she was unsure.

They then got busy, which was not really essential to the moment but totally in character and a call back to the girl from season 1.

 

And I am so not reading anything about the Egg Salad Equivalancy until I've seen it.

OK, a funny scene popped into my head when I remembered Penny saying that in Nebraska they only shoot things to eat or when they don't leave their boyfriends alone. They could have a paintball episode and they bring the girls and Raj asks Alex to come. At the end of the game, everyone has hits, on them, from other teams, but Penny and Alex. Penny has no hits but Alex has mostly hits from her own team color. Raj is confused and asks what happen so everyone thinks Sheldon did it because he didn't want her there in the first place because he considered her an underling. Except Leonard who catches the evil look Penny gives Alex when Raj asks what happened.

I can totally see that as well SRAM, a typical 'the guys vs ladies' plot with paintball being the main game they play.

Well the Egg Salad was a fun episode.   :D

 

I loved everything about our couple in this one. I love that Leonard is flattered and happy to have a girl wanting him (which is totally normal!) even though he has zero intention of doing anything about it.  Love that Penny is very distinctly jealous and didn't hesitate to just call him out on it (was kind of wondering if she would say anything or just simmer in anger).  Love Leonard serenading her in the hall and her reaction.  Love that she decided to DO something about her inferiority complex but at the same time, didn't try to force herself into trying to become interested in science ("how do you not kill yourself every day?" made me LOL). I assume that her reference to school indicates that she does intend to keep it up, but doesn't feel she has to become Science Girl to keep Leonard's interest.  And of course the glasses - and Leonard's reaction - was hilarious. 

 

It looks like they are on very strong footing this season and I hope to see it continue along these lines.

She's leaning on him, with her hear resting on his shoulder and he has his arm around her with his hand rubbing her arm. I would consider that cuddling, but I could see where someone else may not think it fits the description.

Interesting Leonard and penny interaction tonight's episode.  My favorite part was when Leonard showed up with his Cello and sang to Penny that was really cute and something i've always wanted to see one of guys do for their ladies again sing to them.  Howard did it first for Bernadette now Leonard ....(Sheldon that means your up next kid )  but yeah i like that part and I like ending when Penny put on glasses and Leonard got turned on.  It was nice to see Penny actually trying to make Leonard happy by looking up science courses and trying to seem smarter instead of just staying mad at him, breaking up with him or beating Alex up like she did that actress B that moved in upstairs it shows she is maturing.  YEAH PENNY!!

 

Leonard definitely loves Penny and I think he is just glad to know other girls find him attractive because he feels so short and nerdy all time, its nice for him to know that Penny gets insecure about the relationship just like he does but they do need to work on being more honest and open with each other about their feelings in future.   Leonard shouldn't feel so insecure now that he knows Penny loves him and that she gets jealous over him.  And Penny shouldn't let the fact that she isn't a science nerd make her feel inferior or insecure either because she isn't that dumb, and she teaches him thinks too like how she told him about the Black Eye Peas. 

 

I think it be cute to see an episode where Penny plays" the teacher" again like when she was teaching Howard about fishing, only this time she teaches Leonard how to do something that he doesn't understand.  I think it would help make her feel smart, and if it was something Leonard actually got better at by the end it would make him feel good that she was willign to help show him the way.

 

Oh and as for Alex, I still like her okay, I mean I don't think she is a bad person or anything, but she is teetering on the edge with me and i could go either way on her.   I mean its okay for her to like Leonard especially if it makes him feel less insecure and its obvious she serves a purpose in the plot for this seaso to provide comedic drama for the L/P relationship, but if she is going to stick around they really should make her more interesting, funny (like they did with Bernadette and Amy) and give us some more background about her so I can decide whether or not she's worth all trouble she's likely to cause lol.  I mean I'd rather her get with Raj or see her become frenemies with Amy/Bernadette but if she tries to go toe to toe with Sheldon again I hope Sheldon DESTROYS her lol    See I don't care if people know it but truth is I'm a Sheldon girl 4ever and even though I know he can sometimes be a total ass he makes me laugh more than any one else on this show so if anyone messes with him then they must SUFFER lol... I remember when Priya tried to take Sheldon on with the roommate agreement and I just knew Sheldon would find away to take that Bitch down!  Same way with Leslie when she was dating Leonard, Sheldon found away to annoy her enough to get her to break up with Leonard.  So if Alex keeps coming after Leonard and if she tries to get Sheldon in more trouble with university or Leonard in trouble with Penny than I want Sheldon and Amy to break out the monkeys and send Alex packing because no one messes with MY SHIPS!!!   lol   But, if Alex ends up giving up on her infatuation with Leonard and refocuses her attention on Raj, Stuart or someone else outside of group than that is fine and she can stay awhile.

One of the other members in the 6.12 topic, I think got it right, Kaley in that scene was probably in an uncomfortable physical position during that scene and didn't know what to do with her arms, but Johnny was holding her very affectionately during that scene. The director should have caught that.

Did you notice in last night's episode that Leonard said he loves Penny?  Correct me if I'm wrong but he hasn't said it since it was the cause of their first break-up.  He didn't say it to her, but I still think it's meaningful.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Penny and Leonard do seem more comfortable with each other now. When he pulled her to his room, in the end, she followed him there like he follows her when she pulls him. Another thing I noticed is when he was talking to her he put his hand on her arm/shoulder and when he put his arm around her he sort of rubbed her arm. I was watching a rerun later that night on TBS, the episode where Penny shoots Sheldon's spot with a paintball, and at the end where Leonard is explaining to Sheldon about the Chinese food switch, Penny has her hands on Leonard's back and is even rubbing his back at one point, while he talks. I doubt some of that touching/rubbing is part of the script, I think it is a Kaley/Johnny thing.

Well , I guess now all the relationship issues with L\P are solved ...both of them love each other...they confessed their insecurities to each other...and finally finally it looks like they are capable of having a mature conversation. 

 

So it looks next issues will be more practical like most of you guys have pointed out --  job , money ,education, living arrangements etc ....  I would like to see them working on these issues together and helping each other out without any big arguments or drama and I hope the writers do make up for the lack of intimacy in the first half of this season by giving us some cute scenes in the second half.....

I'd be nice, but I don't think 'all the relationship issues' are solved. If for no other reasons than it would be boring, and they'd have nothing to write about. There's always something coming up in a dynamic relationship.

I think the episode when they get married (if they ever do that is) is going to be the point at which I go back to season 1 and marvel in awe at how far they've come. I honestly think that Penny made a good choice :D, I don't care if people bash Leonard, the world needs more people like him to replace the plauge of douchebags out there. The fact that Penny gave Leonard a chance and discovered how much better he was those other 'hot guys' makes me hope that it has somehow inspired some people who watch the show to think twice about someone despite their outside appearance. Especially those girls who still refuse to date anyone other than kind of guys that Penny used to date.
