ahhh, Jim's Bum, now were back on topic....  :p

I just rewatched Spoiler Alert, and although it is just a small thing, Sheldon being concerned about Amy's leg stubbles in his shower somehow cracked me up  :icon_lol:   First of all, the only leg stubbles he could have seen in the past are Missy's or his moms. And as he left for college with 11 I assume he did not see that often. And second: it is sooooo Sheldon being worried about leg stubbles and not the real issues when living together with a woman. And he must have given that some thoughts already too. LOL   Love these little tidbits  :icon_razz:

I think the leg stubble is part of his discomfort with the physical.

I agree with Kiru, I'm dying for Mary Cooper to make an appearance, but it looks like Laurie Metcalf's Broadway show isn't over until August.  :(  if they can't get Laurie Metcalf, maybe they can get Christine Baranski.  One of my little plot monkeys is Beverly Hofstadter writing a paper with Amy.  I would love for them to argue over whether neuroscience or neuorbiology is better...it would be hysterical if Mayim had to argue against neuroscience.

Do you ladies realize that we have not really discussed the physical interactions in the Valentine's episode. Isn't there a Cuddle in there? And also some leg rubbing? If memory recalls. Hopefully it shall be on Sheldon's part kid of casual and sweet.

Yes, apparently Amy is so happy about being the EC, she hugs him, boa constrictor-style.  Unable to move his arms much, he pats her leg a little.  Monique said they didn't show the leg pats in the final cut, though.

em. Ok, neuroscientist pet peeve here :p  Neurobiology is a sub-discipline of Neuroscience. A Neurobiologist is a Neuroscientist but a Neuroscientist isn't necessarily a Neurobiologist. So they could argue about levels of investigation but they can't have Amy argue against Neuroscience, lol :p

I don't know why in my head Amy vs Beverly would not end well, I don't know why I have this headcanon. It might be because I'm not a big fan of Beverly, I much prefer Mary Cooper.

Oops, I didn't realize.  I'm a mathematician, not a scientist.  :icon_redface:

hehe, no worries, it's just a pedantic detail really. And I consider mathematicians scientists! You write the language of science :) I'm actually planning to get further maths training when I'm done with this PhD, I love theoretical neuroscience probably more than the experimental part.

It would be interesting to see Amy and Beverly in action. Like fighting on arguments. The more that Amy is very emotional and Beverly contrary. And both are scientists. I hate Beverly.

Does anybody  has a link for this?

Och Jim.. you know how to charm a woman, :icon_razz:   you flirty boy

.

I was just saying in the thread this video was posted in how in every single one of their ET set interviews they make the same joke about onscreen/offscreen stuff. And that you can track the Shamy progress based on their jokes from "Oh they're not going to kiss" to "Oh they are kissing now" to "Oh we don't know when they'll have sex". Next year?

You're a Ph.D. student too?  i have a master's degree in math and am currently working on a Ph.D. in math education.  I've been teaching at the university level for several years with only a master's.  My department chair called me the Howard Wolowitz of the department the other day.  Anyway, I need to get back to work.  I'm almost finished with coursework, taking comps in April, and just starting to work on my dissertation proposal.  Also, I teach full-time.  This forum is an awfully convenient means of procrastination.

Yes, I'm a brain monkey :) About to finish up in the spring, I'm currently writing/doing analyses so I'm constantly with one Word document open and the forum on the other screen, lol.
