There was a moment when the girls had to reenact the car scene for us and they had a few mess ups. Kaley messed her line during her, "we're not gonna get drunk and get on the rides?" line and she laughs and says, "Maybe I am drunk." They were all laughing.

At first when I read the tag, I was sad for Amy, but I like that Shamy does their own thing and knowning Jim and Mayim the scene will be awesome.

I like that Amy goes to see Sheldon after her Disney princess makeover instead of just going home. They need to go together to comic con or something because that type of dress up is his thing. Also, in my head, the most that happens off screen is a kiss on the cheek or forehead because I want my Shamy contact on screen. I'm greedy that way

I think the main teasing going on here is from the writers.  They are teasing the shamy fans-- they know we are waiting for a sheldon-initiated kiss and maybe this is there way of telling us it's coming.  A girl can dream anyway.

Fun game we started on the other forum : Given Sheldon's tone in the V-Day promo, we started some other things he might say in that tone :

 

"Yes this is our first night as a married couple but these sheets do NOT scream married scientists....it screams hippies at a love in"

I didn't think about it that way but it might very well be a tease to the fans too.

I read the taping report. Just, wow, the tag scene!  The episode is going to be great. Happy for Raj & Lucy!
Oh I would have liked to see Sheldon kissing here there. Princess Amy and "prince Sheldon" coming to "resque" her. Or if he had risen up from the desk and started walking towards here, sat there next to her on the couch, if they had cut the scene there it would have been way too frustrating. He starting to bending over to her face, ready to kiss her... and cut!
 
 

the end scene with amy on the couch and sheldon at home sounds very funny because its so like Sheldon to "pretend" that hes not interested when we know he is but is trying to surpress his urges

 

I honestly don't think he's suppressing anything. Plus, it's the wrong outfit anyway. Starfleet medical officer: tick. Princesses: not so much.

Could it be, that the truth about his urges/interests/feelings there is something between these two opinions? It is true that her mind, her science and geniusness is what turns him on. He may have had suppressed something he felt there, if he never went there and there was no kiss between them off screen. But I don't think he was uninterested and nonchalant of her either. He might have had some urges there, who knows, or he just wasn't turned on that much about the princess makeover. I really believe he has already had a "turn on" experience caused by Amy. There is no doubt about that now.
 
Someone on twitter please tweet Mr. Prady about Amy's IQ, if it really is 188 and thus 1 point higher than his (in case those tags mentioned by Meg on FF were official merchandice), it would be so rich of possibilities for the writers to write an episode about it. I honestly think that, if something, could turn him on and make that Sheldon-initiated kiss to happen!  There could be competition first between them but then...   Of course I don't know, he could behave differently, be jealous of her, insist that they have to take IQ tests again... But in any case, it would be very interest to see how he would react to it.
There has been so much discussing about Sheldon-initiated kiss on forums that I ponder about it a bit too. I don't know if it would help if Amy changed her opinion about Star Trek and started to dig it?  Winning a Nobel prize is a bit over the top, but a remarkable and notable scientific success/discovery would make it happen also. I really think Amy could seduce him somehow showing how intelligent she is. I'm quite sure the kiss is coming this season because they are hinting about it now.

I nearly pissed myself. I wasn't so much of a Shamy shipper then, but I was gobsmacked...I was like WHOA, the hell was that?

Nope, it completely caught me blindsided.  I had no clue it was coming.  Of course there were fewer clues back then because they were still not even boyfriend/girlfriend.   But now that they claim they have been dating over two years (their words and something we all knew was going on anyway...hehe), it has to be unrealistic, even for a man with OCD to not know that his girlfriend would likely appreciate a gesture of a kiss on the lips, even if it is quick and closed mouth.   I mean it really is rather silly, given he didn't seem bothered by it the first time around when she was drunk, so why is it an issue now?   I know he is working on touch aversion issues, but they almost took away some of their history if they are going to try and convince us this should be a huge bother for him.   He has had her kiss him twice and in neither case did he freak out or back away or anything of the sort.

See, that's what I find funny, because I thought there were several cues in the prior episodes. I mean, the one right before that is THGG!! Maybe it's easier to see them in hindsight, I don't know, but until I rewatched it all in order I didn't understand when the hell they actually started dating, I also kind of assumed they did pretty much from the beginning, lol.

 

As for now, I seriously wouldn't take the tag scene to mean anything along those lines. Like Sursonica said, the fact that they used that line was very clever. He didn't say no. And it was a tag. I don't think any of us would like to see the first Sheldon kiss to be in a tag the way it was set up. 

 

I do agree that they're being a bit inconsistent with the physical contact issue though. On one hand we are told he is "working on it", on the other hand when he does have a chance to work on it he never does anything. On one hand they had more kisses and hugs before they started dating, on the other you now still have Sheldon incapable of returning a hug. It is a bit of a delicate situation right now I think. But I do think initiating is different than receiving, to be honest. I think it will be soon ridiculous if they don't have him return hugs, if not even learning to enjoy them, but initiating is a further step: he is scared, he is proud, he thinks it's hippy-dippy, there's a lot of stuff to overcome. That's why he was happy to touch her so much in 6x10, because he had an excuse to "work on it" that wasn't simply admitting that he wants to. I think it's easier to admit that to L/P right now than to her, it's like when one tells their friends they like somebody but don't have the guts to tell the person yet. I was saying in the other thread that I wouldn't be surprised if his first affectionate, willingly initiated type of contact will be when she's asleep.

I still read taping reports back then and I remember that my jaw dropped. I definitely didn't see that coming so quickly, but I loved it. I loved Shamy back then but I wasn't hardcore or anything.

Oh I was talking about an inconsistency issue more than the tag. I didn't take the tag seriously or bad at all. I  think it actually will be amusing and also in character.  What I do think is difficult for many fans though is the inconsistency.  We had more "action" when they were not officially boyfriend and girlfriend than we have had since.   I think it gets to be a bit hard to swallow that he suddenly has aversions to things he didn't before.   I do agree that initiating is a lot different than receiving, but as you said, he even returned her hug in the tiara scene, where now he doesn't at all.   Part of it probably is because of the way they have been having the hugs play out (with her holding him so tight he can't move his arms), but at least we did get the hand on the arm in 6.14 which is sort of a "return" action, yes?   I agree with your comments above otherwise.   Not sure about the initiation while she is asleep thing though.  That could be sweet or creepy, depending on how you look at it and how it would play out and somehow I don't think they would go that route. But then again, the writers continue to surprise.

if you think about it...he cuddled with her to keep her happy , he bathed her to keep her healthy and happy , so why does'nt he kiss her to keep her happy??

According to Sheldon their relationship was based on trust and honesty(something along these lines).... he gave a lecture to Amy and spanked her for violating it....it would have been hilarious to see Amy do the same to him...and it probably would fit in her character as well....

The tag scene in the latest report makes me love Sheldon even more. I HATE the hormonal guy who jumps on the makeover girl scenario, I am SOOOO happy he is completely indifferent to it and that they are showing the contrast between him, Howard and Leonard. 

This is how I felt when I first read the report!  The writers actually show H/B, and then L/P and then the Shamy...I thought it was cute, funny, and appropriate for them!

To me, kissing is one of the most intimate things you can do - even more so than, let's just say more advanced stages. I could see why it could be the hardest hurdle for Sheldon to overcome. But, and this is a big but, he's got to take the leap at some point.
