Btw, has anybody noticed when Sheldon reaches in his pants to get the Rubik cube out Amy looks away kind of embarrassed? You can barely see it because she's kind off screen, but she does. Just further proof against all those people who call her sex starved and desperate. And in favor of those who share the theory that she'll actually become a nervous wreck when they start becoming more physical (which I strongly advocate).

Yes I did notice it, especially because when he was doing that maneuver, he as sort of slightly facing toward the couch would was a bit more her angle than Leonard's.  He would have been sort of giving her a "view" so to speak had she kept looking, but instead she turned her head slightly embarrassed away from his direction.   It was adorably shy and sweet.  I agree...definite evidence that she is going to be a very nervous girl when the time comes...and our Shelly...well once he makes up his mind about stuff...we all know how he gives 100%.

Good episode. I'm rooting for Raj to have a happy, long lasting relationship. It was so great seeing Penny on stage doing what she loves. Everything about Shamy that I feel you all covered. LOL.

There are about a handful of episodes left to film this season and I can't wait to see how it will end for the Shamy.

Good catch! We've talked before about how desperately (pun intended) they need to make clear that Amy is going to be very, shy, nervous and "behind" Sheldon if you will when it comes to actually proceeding with their physical intimacy. Beyond a few excited or drunk kisses, if she truly was that much of a Horndog then we would see far more scenes where she physically plasters herself all over Sheldon. We don't because the Myth of Amy's Sexual Desperation is a wild "out there" viewpoint, held by the more rabid Shenny fans and the ones who would prefer to see Sheldon stay as pure as driven snow. Or a combination of the two. ("Sheldon is asexual, unless we are talking about he and Penny.)

I can concede to the first Thursday of the month during the hiatus. Basically to coincide with when the episodes would be normally airing. (The times would have to stick though. ) Mostly it is a good idea to keep the general Schedule or else people forget and get confused about when we are having our chats.

 

I'm going to set-up a Lenny Chat in their Thread too and want to ensure that it does not conflict with any of our Chats. To be nice (because I'm just like that!) I am going to set-up a once a month Shenny Chat for while the episodes air. (Because they are Not cannon.) They can figure something out over the Summer though. And as long as it does not interfere with ours then it is all good.

Yeah, either she would have plastered herself all over him or she would have broken up with him.  Nobody that desperate would date someone like Sheldon.

 

Seriously, how did they make it look like he was pulling a Rubik's cube out of his pants?  I'll have to watch again.  Maybe it's a hollow collapsible Rubik's cube lookalike and he had it hidden up the sleeve of his blazer.

Loving all the insights here. The Shamy skype chat was such a blessing, and I know many of us have been wishing to see them do that again.

 

I can't stop looking at his eyes when he asks about her addiction study and sees her being bothered by monkeys.. he looks so confused, caring and concerned. And their exchanged smiles and deep comfort level; his demonstration of the body language theory, and her spontaneously 'getting' him; and the way he listens to her and follows her advice instantly.. those 2 minutes made me feel like I was in a piece of Shamy heaven.

 

I noticed Amy's subtle turning away, too. I'm sure it was a sweet little hint to remind people that she's just as shy and inexperienced as he is, when it comes to actual physicality. 

 

Apart from the Shamy - I just cannot get over the brilliance of Jim's comedic acting in the FwF scene. I die laughing every time I watch it - his deadpan expressions and his horribly awkward spread-eagling across the couch, and his delivery of those lines. 'Spread your legs, let them in'    HOW he keeps a straight face is beyond me. 

 

I'm sorry I just can't get myself to join the Shamy live chat. The thought of it gives me a bit of a Lucy-jumping-out-of-the-window feeling. I might be a little broken too.

Jim's comedic timing is gold...but so is Mayim's.   Both were spot on last night and both had me rotfl.   I really don't know how anyone on that cast keeps a straight face during some of those scenes.   I give Kaley kudos for not cracking up...she just looked at him like he was on Mars.

About Jim, yes he's marvelous. That scene on the couch was hilarious, and like for many times he preserved his facial expressions calm and seriously. It really not so easy for them to not burst of laugh. That scene reminded me scene from hospital when Penny has dislocated her shoulder when she want him to be more carrying and he sat beside her as funny as there on the couch.
