Kiru Breezy
I don't know about the chemistry though. I mean, Jim and Mayim have amazing chemistry in RL, I do think that if you write the characters as less rigid, not even all that much, the chemistry on screen would become more and more obvious. I think we see hints of it with the eye-coitus and especially when they were more flirtatious in S4, but I think if you wrote them in scenes where they are allowed to be more flirty, or smitten, or challenge each other more it would become more overt. If you write a character has having to be unresponsive and rigid it's hard for the actors to let the chemistry seep through, imo. Having said that, there are also plenty of couples on tv where they are written as if the actors had chemistry and they don't, and it's horrible to watch. It's like it's been shoved down your throat. So if there's no chemistry you can write anything and it's not going to work. In Majim's case I think they have the chemistry but I think it's still very much reigned in and may not be as obvious to others as it is to us. Especially because a lot of what people consider "chemistry" is sexual chemistry. And Shamy are kept well away from sexual stuff for now. But to people other than Moonbase, Sheldon and Amy are the bees knees - again just check twitter for the opinion of MOST PEOPLE. Their chemistry is palpable. Chemistry does not necessarily equate with sex, there is something earthy and rich about them and MOST PEOPLE get that. Trying to fix something that isn't broken for a blind few is nonsensical. You may end up wrecking something that was perfect in the first place.
koops
From the latest taping report.. I love how Amy gushed over Sheldon's organizing tendencies, and then begged others to agree with other. Another hint of the special connection between them.. the one which whether anyone else sees it or not is irrelevant. Also, I'm so waiting to see him pull her in front of him as a human shield. And her reaction. :D Seriously, he'd be my perfect roommate. lol. I love it that she's gushing over it, because, imo, it is a very good trait to have, especially if you end up living with them at some point (which she will). silverangel
I don't get the 'nicer' thing, He's had very sweet moments with Amy replete with sincerity. She is equally matter-of-factly and aloof with her demeanor. I don't get the complaints. Sheldon is not 'nice' by nature, so to let him be overly nice or whatever would be a disservice to the character. He should learn how to appreciate her in a little things. By doing something nice for her, without any benefit for him. Something that comes from the heart. But I have a feeling that we will see something like that because he really try to change and it's because of Amy

I think that at some point soon the dynamic will change again, as they enter a new phase (like it changed from S4 to 5 and then from S5 to 6), and hopefully we will get less of these complaints once it becomes more obvious to those who have a very rigid view or relationships and chemistry. But the writers aren't going to "fix" anything because there's nothing that needs to be fixed.

TIP, he stayed up with her all night because she was upset, and they weren't even dating yet. He includes all sorts of stuff in the RA that he wouldn't normally do: date nights, singalongs, etc. He watches the shows she likes with her. 6x10, he takes care of her for days and goes way out of his way to do so, he doesn't just pick up medicines for her and brings her food: he reads to her, puts her down for naps, draws her baths, spends enough time there that he needs a key. V-day, he was ready to go out and dress up to have dinner with her. Yes, at other times he gets Alex to buy her presents or doesn't get that standing her up at her family's party isn't cool, but he already does nice things. It's just that people who have a standard notion of romance don't get that unless it's red roses and declarations. Also, where the hell would Sheldon have the experience to even know what's expected of him as a boyfriend and how to be "nice"? He does what he can given who he is and what is experience is. But Sheldon doesn't do any of these things for ANYONE else. In his own way he already treats her like she's his queen. Actually, sorry: not queen. Princess. With her tiara. He's actually doing things for her that would not do for the others. I just meant that he should do something like she does in valentines day. She came to him. She canceled the dinner, she did not want anything from him, she just wanted him to be happy, when they watch what he likes. But for that, he has to realize that, how much he loves her. But I agree that something like that isn't small thing, for him. And I dont' meant anything like roses and declarations. Love is something more than that. Roses wilting, and the words are sometimes fleeting. He hasn't get experience, but I think Amy would have expected at this stage something more. Roses wilting, and the words are sometimes fleeting. I didn't mean you when I said roses and declarations, but some people on those threads do seem to have that kind of concept of "romance" or "happy relationship". Like, they don't even get that that they were the only couple out of the three that really got the spirit of V-day and got it right, to them they're not a "happy relationship" regardless of the fact that they were they happiest one out of the three at the end of the day. So if they don't get that, they won't notice that Sheldon is doing nice things for her already. But yes, I'm sure at some point he will do something like you mention and surprise her. I think what she did for him on V-day sets an example for him that he didn't have before. Now that he has that experience and knows how happy it made him, I'm sure he will want to make her just as happy some other time.

I want to see something selfless too...but I'll wait. Yes without her he wouldn't work out a lot of things, germphobia, taking care of her while she was sick, it was something amazing, a great thing from him. She pushes him forward, he's doing something for others because she shows him, what he supposed to do, and so he is learning, because of her. I would like to hear something from him like Howard said to Bernadette, after bachelor party.I could be beautifull ending. :icon_redface: Edited February 27, 2013 by silverangelD
Chaliceinnana
I love that the gang will be together for most of the episode. And I like the idea of a Howard centric episode. I actually think the human shield thing is cute. Hubby did something similar when his mom was in a mood (You were safe, Hon... she actually LIKES you.) I am coming to a point where I'd like to see Amy put the boot down on Sheldon. I'd like to see her lose it over her unearned reputation for using model rockets for purposes for which they were never intended and smushing her swimsuit parts with Sheldon's until magic happens. We have enough evidence that her mother was hymen obsessed on her behalf so this could be a huge childhood thing. I like that Sheldon doesn't have to organize Amy's closet, I imagine she runs a pretty tight ship.

koops
I don't see her losing it over that, mostly because I don't think she has a "reputation". All Sheldon's been implying is that they have a great sex life, not that she's kinky or anything, the model rocket was the only sentence in the whole episode that was kinky really. The rest of it was pretty tame. I think she'd mostly be wondering where the hell this is all coming from but I bet a part of her would be just as excited as we and Penny were over this whole thing. That there is hope after all

ShamyForever
I am looking forward to seeing this one. I love the hints that they spend so much time together even if we don't see it on air. I am glad that Simon is finally getting an episode focused on his character. Now I need an Amy focused episode before the season ends.

That there is hope after all She is a professional woman. Her sex life should be private. It might be different if it were happening.... Now he can have the big stud rep without having to earn it? That would piss anyone off. He might be able to explain it away by being really honest about his big boy feelings. This is the issue to throw down on. "Well, everybody probably thinks we are having sex since we've been dating so long..." "And yet we are not. Why is that again?" I willing to bet there is nothing in the relationship agreement that states it is okay to lie about having intercourse if it will make you look better. Assuming (take note, assuming) that when Amy said the coins from her purse were the ones she was meaning to take to the bank and that Sheldon mentioned something about not wearing the Iron Man helmet when going to the bank because they are going to tackle you, coupled with what Amy when they got to Penny's apartment that he was whining to Amy about the parking spot while also wearing the helmet? Love, love, love, Love, LOVE their domesticity. Also, I love that the same part from the recent taping report where Amy was telling the guys "That's a likeable trait" while they remained silent. It's a call from episode 6.15's "your personality quirks, which others find abhorrent or rage-inducing, I find cute as a button". :D I'll be waiting for that human shield moment. I totally want to see the issue used for her to confront him about the whole physical contact thing and I think if they do bring it up again that's what it's going to be used for. It would be a great catalyst for him to come clean about the "possibility". But I don't think she's going to be angry because he "tainted" her reputation or stuff like that, I think she's going to be annoyed because he's not even kissing her and yet makes up stories about them. Like I said, Sheldon said nothing at all besides the fact that they are having great sex. He didn't give any details or anything that would make her look bad, even the rocket was a fluke because he didn't have a clue what it meant. I mean, Amy has always been pretty forward about sex jokes and stuff, to be honest I don't know that she'd be all that different if someone implied that she's the one having sex. I can see her come up with similar lies.

I know Sheldon didn't give a lot of details, that doesn't mean that Kripke won't make up something that sounds just awful. It is Kripke. And because he didn't stop the lie, then he would be responsible if it turns into a snowball of crap. That's the law.

I'd be totally happy with an RA, I am just sad you can't have one of those in real life without alienating people. @Caliche. Yes, get what you mean now. I'd love to see that happen. lol. @jeanalice.
