Even if the writers are trying to make Sheldon an immovable object, there is no such thing (unless he has infinite mass, which is impossible in this universe). His relationship with Amy is a force, and according to the laws of physics the only way to avoid being affected by a force is not to interact with it at all--TOO LATE!! She said she'd text him to see if anything big happens with Shamy or get a gist of the show. So, today was pretty great. It's my birthday and it began with a surprise hour-long massage. ah! so good. followed by lunch, drinks, gifts, shopping, call from my brother who lives in another country, the best cake I may have ever eaten in my life... I say all this to say that it has turned my mood around a bit and I was thinking about this Shamy video and the song in it (sung by Mayim Bialik in her Blossom years) http://youtu.be/jXlQIHSKJ_o The song just suits them so well. And I think Sheldon is in the uncomfortable place in the beginning of the song (You made me love you, I didn't want to do it) and not yet to the "give me what I cry for - You know you've got the kisses I die for" point. Then it takes you to a screen that says 'now you can access all these sites' and has a list. Click on hulu and it will take you to the main page where I just typed in 'big bang theory paleyfest' like normal and I could watch the video . It's probably not entirely legal but I was getting desperate so I did some research! It's slightly different to the one untilyou suggested so you can give it a try if you're struggling with mediahint. Just ducking in to say thanks for this tip, which I borrowed. I didn't take it seriously, even laughed at the line. It sounds like most people are cheered up now. Maybe there will be even more to cheer them up after tomorrow's taping. Saturday night I had a Big-Bang-Marathon Party with some colleagues at my place. They all love TBBT but are no Shamy's, Lenny's, Majim's, etc..... We watched Season 6, episode 9 to 19 (Parkingspot to actual). They where totally overwhelmed and exited by the interactions of the Shamy and almost cracked up in between (of course ). I asked them about their feelings for the Shamy development and they were totally positive. Although I mentioned that IMO the comments of Sheldon in 6.19 were not that nice. They did not bother at all and said they can't see the further development. This made me think: Are we (I mean us, knowing the Shamy to our bones, analyzing, questioning, again analyzing and rehearsing) meanwhile caught in this process too much? So that we start to interpret, re-interpret, think in, think out and try to understand the characters too much? Like: Sometimes a snarky and not nice comment is just a comment. What want's me to share these thoughts with you is that I see a lot of my lovely Shamy-Fellows turning upset, sad and angry with this, in our eyes, sometimes unsatisfying development of the relationship. Think back to S5 at this state. We would all have gone berserk with the information we have now. And I do not think it helps trying to over analyze interviews or comments. That, as we have seen in the last days, make things sometimes worse, sometimes better, depending who just said what. I agree, we NEED the SIK! And I hope we will get it. But I just do not want us to go totally nuts about it Love ya guys! ps: If Sheldon does not Kiss Amy this Season, I am flying to LA and will be KISSING her myself!!!! I SWEAR to NEIL A lot of people were going on about Sheldon's "pawing" line but it did not strike me nor my friend negatively at all. To me it seemed that Sheldon was simply being Sheldon and his comment was not said in a mean or insulting tone, even if it was not a very nice thing to say to Amy. Personally, I did not "get" what the issue was but then I realized that depending on how a person views the characters they may take things quite differently. Lately I have been seeing Shamy as sweet, gentle and a rather deliciously slow progression. This basically made me not so "obsessed" with their progression and much more relaxed. (My friend is a Lenny first and foremost.) Basically this makes both of these made us not so worried about Sheldon's comments to Amy in the last episode and are able to see it in a more neutral light. Sometimes this positive. Others not so much. I don't know if he and Kaley had had a tiff right before it or not. When he first walked in, she had a really angry look on her face. It was like she was mad she had to sit near him or something. Likewise, he immediately turned away from her and faced toward Mayim's empty chair and when Mayim walked in, he gave Mayim an amazing smile. It could have just been that something had been said off stage right before that set them off...I don't know. But neither seemed very happy with the other. Kaley seemed to get over it more as the panel went on...but he still seemed like he was only interested in Mayim and the producers and didn't want to deal with anyone else. Or perhaps he just was nervous. I am sure it is nerve-wracking worrying you might say something you shouldn't. In one of the Chats I mentioned something about Kaley. This I hope has no correlation to Jim's interactions with her lately. He seems either outright annoyed with her or dismissive, which is odd because I thought they were close friends before this latest set of video's. The older one is simply not the same with the way he is treating her. Then it seems like two friends bickering and this seems as though they are not close friends anymore. It makes me very sad... shamylove Posted March 19, 2013 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Not to belabor this issue, but honestly, my first reaction to "the line" was THAT WASN'T IN THE TAPING REPORT! (which I didn't say out loud because I was watching with someone who knows nothing of these reports) Of course I understand that not everything can be captured in the taping reports, and it's nice that way usually because we get little surprises. But for some reason, I was thrown for a loop - as if if I'd heard about it going in I probably would have brushed off the comment, well, maybe. Sometimes I think I get spoiled in more ways than one knowing what's coming. I get greedy, and need to work on that - need to take what comes across the screen and be happy with this amazing couple, fun show, good people to chat with about all of it. It's true, sometimes I can get lost in over analyzing, such is my way. It's nice to remember, for myself at least, that I am not writing the show, so I'd better follow the story being told and not the one I may wish was being told, or being told at the speed I feel is right, etc. (that's what fan fiction is for) Don't get me wrong, I'll still analyze lines, motives, etc. because I find the study of the characters and their growth interesting.
