Morning everyone!

Thanks godlenorb and Cathi! :) I'm so curious to see how the ep plays out. I don't think that just because she didn't mention it there's no contact, it sounds like she wrote a nice teaser: the setup for the episode. I'd be surprised if given what Mayim said there were no contact at all this week. Also, I can see how if she's forcing him to leave things unfinished he might get more and more on the edge and need "relaxing".

I don't know, why would we be disappointed? I think it's clear he isn't that knowledgeable about "technique for ladies". While he might get sexual puns or even make them himself now when it comes to men stuff, I wouldn't expect him to get the female side of things. Especially if it doesn't relate to intercourse.

I don't think the fact that she didn't mention touching in the teaser means it didn't happen. I doubt that it's anything major - a kiss, for example - but keep in mind that we (or at least I) would flip over an affectionate pat on the knee, and Cathi wouldn't necessarily see it as a particularly noteworthy event. I could be totally off, of course. Maybe she's just holding back because she's planning to surprise us in the morning.

Either way, I'm excited!!! Some good Shamy stuff = a very happy me. :D

Do we know if Cathi is a Shamy shipper? That's the other thing. She might not know what drives us nuts over here. lol. I know if I were to go to a taping and report on Lenny I'd probably miss a lot of things. haha.

Like Amy did in TFGD?   :icon_biggrin:

Cathi knows about the Shamy lurrve, but I don't think she's a 'shipper.  Her daughter is a huge TBBT fan, so we may see her in here too.

ETA:  G'night Monique!  See you here tomorrow!

Well, I'm shippin' my butt to bed. Good night everyone....or technically good morning, as it is past midnight in California. LOL.

What a wonderful choice of word. LOL.

Night Monique and Krys!

btw, is that a new t-shirt on Sheldon? Also, to those who were complaining about Bill's choice of photos in the chat last night, I'd just like to say: I informed you thusly.

I just found another thing that irks me beyond belief besides the question "Do you know Sheldon has Aspergers?". The "hahah when Sheldon and Amy have sex it will be something like and experiment or they are drugged". How many times I've heard this and how many times I facepalm myself. Even in that ET interview with the cast, when I think it was Kaley or Simon that said that.

It always baffles me how someone can think that somebody, even someone like Sheldon, is incapable of personal growth and change. People grow up, and they change just as their life around them also changes. It's natural, it's human - and it can even happen to Sheldon, and people like him, if the right and necessary conditions present themselves.

It's not even a matter of change for me, I get annoyed because it defeats the whole purpose of their relationship. The purpose of their relationship isn't the end goal of having sex, it's how they get there. To suggest that they do it on a whim while drunk or as an emotionally disconnected experiment goes against everything it's meant to be about. Who the hell cares that they have sex if it means nothing but a laugh?

I was just speaking in general about people who think Sheldon will never have sex, and all those 'Sheldon can't change' comments that are littered throughout the forums.

But anyways! With what you said Koops, I agree completely. It's not about them having sex as much as it is about the journey to get to that point in their relationship.

I'm also in favour of them never having sex if how it happens is going to be some random drunken night that completely goes against everything they've done thus far.

I'm exhausted so I've been skimming the thread. Which means I'm super confused. Who is Arthur? What is happening? Is someone going to the taping that I didn't know about? My brain is currently functioning at about 50%. Oy.

Also, welcome to the new Shamy Shippers that have joined our ranks! :icon_biggrin:

Arthur Darvill: He plays Rory from Doctor Who.

It's a good teaser for sure.  I look forward to tomorrow morning's report!

On a different subject:  I didn't know there were so many X-File fans here!

You are amongst friends.

Reminds me of something I said in our PM to the Group.

To have stayed the Same would be Boring. They conveniently forget about this when they complain about the "direction" the writers have taken Sheldon. or they wanted him to get with Penny. ^_^

Drunk sex has been done before. (Or not as the case turned out after the series opener.) What makes us Shamy's is how we want it! We are willing to wait as long as the sex is done well for our Pairing. We desire affection between them but settle for eye coitus, hand holding and the slow romance of past eras. The love of a by-gone age. Deep down we may all be True Romantic's, at heart.
