quadruplenegative Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Hello! I've been around here for a while, but this is my first time posting. Just wanted to say you can me to the list of Shamy shippers that are huge X-Files fans! Still my favorite show of all time! If we had the patience to wait for M&S, we can make it through anything- even if it is the "snail on the back of a turtle" pace of the Shamy! shamylove Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I have two older brothers who loved Star Trek, so I got hooked as a kid.

rachelshamyfan Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Oh my. I guess it depends on what you're into. X-Files is Sci-Fi Mystery/Gov't conspiracy awesomeness, Doctor Who is more family-friendly crazy adventure stuff, Trek is sci-fi with social commentary, Wars is....Wars. Not may favorite (no one hurt me). I'd say give X-Files a go. I saw the pilot episode when it aired when I was 12 and I was hooked from moment one. maybe one day in the future i will think about it but not at the moment thanks though
phantagrae Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 XF shippers know a good ship when they see one! The first XF ep I saw was Anasazi, the S2 finale, and I was hooked the minute I saw David Duchovny. :D That one episode crams so much into it's little 45 minutes--New Mexico setting (which is what initially made me pause to check it out), aliens (maybe...) government conspiracies, Navajo code talkers, drug-laced water, fist-fights, mistrust between partners, all kinds of gunfire, and bare-chested David Duchovny under Scully's care... And that's just the first of a 3-episode arc! For anyone new to TXF, I'd say you should see the pilot, but I highly recommend Anasazi/The Blessing Way/Paper Clip. One of the best 3-episode arcs of the show. And then anything written by Vince Gilligan before the 8th season.
koops Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Gethsemane/Redux I-II is still my favorite arc. Hands down.
Chaliceinnana Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 ok if somebody was to recommend what i havent watched what do you think i should start with? Firefly. Or maybe you shouldn't start with that... it might make everything else look bad...lol. X-files the first three seasons or so were amazingly trippy. After season 4, I only tuned in for Mythology episodes. Dr. Who is so hit or miss. Any episode with River Song or Captain Jack Harkness is killer. I watch a lot of Next Generation. But that really looks dated now.

stardustmelody Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Loved Star Trek, Star Wars and when I could see it, I enjoyed X-Files. I wasn't able to watch it much because I worked full time and was a mom with young children when it aired. I barely had time to breathe. I didn't watch hardly any TV then. I have not watched Firefly, but have always loved Nathan Fillion as an actor. So back to Shamy....sounds like this might have been a good episode. I am dying to hear the summary. Will it be posted in the episodes thread or here?

stardustmelody Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 https://mobile.twitter.com/SannySpear/status/314073950181269504/photo/1 I think Jim goes to bed early. If I remember correctly, I believe he said on one of the interviews earlier this year or end of last...can't remember where, but that he goes to bed around 8 PM. I noticed that for anything that involves evening events, he tends to look rather sleepy. LOL! He was clearly tired that night at Paley Fest. I noticed it when I watched it, but he still had plenty of energy for Mayim. He did close his eyes a couple of times while leaning on his arm and leaning into her. Let the speculation begin! Fascinating. So no one from Sci-fi or Science. That would tend to rule out Arthur Darvill. Great and famous? Hmm....I know Chuck wanted to have Meryl Streep, but it isn't her. So....I am trying to think if Bill has ever mentioned anyone that he admired as a star. I honestly can't think of who it might be. The possibilities are too vast. LOL!

I think that was on Ellen on Febr. 6th 2012 I think..... not that I am taking notes or so...... "Usually I go to bed at arround 8, lights out at 9."
