Are you talking to me?

Depends, are you planning on trying to grope the queen?

I was referring to all the girls in the thread, you know how I feel about the LGBT community.

Much love!

Oh Misophonia!  Yay!  I am so glad you are here.  I love your story so much.  I am so excited to have you join in our discussions.  And yes, I love Grandaddy.  He is a hoot and a holler!   I actually love all the characters in your story so far and cannot wait to learn more about George.  I am curious about his fascination with Amy.

I doubt the writers are that clever, but can someone write this into a fanfiction please??? omg I'm loving this theory very very much thanks a lot for sharing it.

Actually, Amy never once mentionned the fact that she should move in as his girlfriend. To her, it was all about being the ideal roommate. Sheldon was the one seeing it as a romantic progression, but to Amy, it was only ever about being an easy replacement for Leonard. She wanted to see if her water bed would fit in Leonard's room, she was not trying to ease her way into Sheldon's.

I must disagree. I think Amy's short range plan was to replace Leonard. However I think that was just an excuse to get her foot in the door. I believe her medium range plan was to create a level of emotional intimacy and comfort that would result in physical intimacy. The four year plan is still her long range plan, I think she's flexible enough to take advantage of an opportunity.

The fact that she liked it when he spanked her it just means  that she wants him so bad, but he had never touched her, or she him in so intimate in a special way. They had never seen each other naked, and she never thought about this moment more, or  what it means to her. He  will see delicate fragile person who is not only naked physically, but also emotionally, and in every way.

This is a special and very personal moment, and when we see a person who never did it, virgin, if she even thought that spanking was so sexy and hot, she doesn't not know whether she  will be confident at herself in such an intimate moment ,  she doesn't know how it is, so she can imagine  and she wants it very much, but she really doesn't know what  she will feels and whether to be afraid or not. Because she is too focused on his problems and fears.

While I agree that she wants him really bad there's a possibility that Amy LIKES to be spanked. There are some people who for whatever reason genuinely enjoy such activities, and Amy may be such a person.  If that's the case, lets hope Sheldon likes to give spankings (if so Amy may turn out to be a very naughty girl).

And how you know that I'm wrong... not  everything is black and white as you think..

I did not say you were right or wrong.... I was just asking how did you come to know about all that stuff.....because I'm trying to make sure that I did not skip any episode...

OK...to get things back on Shamy, I am going to bring over a list of questions that someone posted at the other forum so that we can change our discussions to those kinds of things.   Here are the questions.  Enjoy responding!

1.  What do you think will be the next big step for Shamy?

2.  Do you think Sheldon and Amy will ever get a house of their own and have kids like Amy wants?

3.  Do you think Amy's four-year plan will work?

4.  How long do you think it will be until a Sheldon Initiated Kiss happens?

5.  Where do you think their wedding would be, should they have one, in accordance to both their personalities and quirks?  Do you think it will be in Klingon?  Do you thin the wedding will be traditional like Howard and Bernadette's wedding?

I think the next step for shamy is for respect to be restored to the relationship.

I would like to know how Amy feels about her 4 year plan.

I DO hope for a "SIK" but not that optimistic if it happening this season. I will accept a hug, snuggle, or an I love you. *fingers crossed*.

I think Shamy will get married, and I hope Sheldon wears a white tux, Amy will wear a tiara, and there will be monkeys and klingon invites.

I don't see the situation as quite as dire as some people do.  There are four episodes with some snarky comments.  Some people are interpreting them as disrespectful, but other people disagree.  I can see both sides of it.  Personally I think the "back and forth" comment crossed a line, but so far the others aren't devastatingly bad.  I would like to see this kick the writers are on end ASAP but I don't think it's a huge crisis.

What I want to see is something that is clear evidence that he sees her as more than just a girl who's a friend.  They've danced around it.  The jealousy, the gifts, fantasizing about her dandruff (lol), saying he might get physical with her someday...these are all signs of romantic feelings.  Still, I want something a little more tangible.  Maybe an ILY would do it or a hug if it's done right, but a kiss would show he is committed to being a real boyfriend to her.

I also feel that things are not as dire as they seem.

I get the feeling sometimes that it's like we're at an Impressionists exhibit and we're all standing a little too close the paintings.

Now, maybe I'll be disappointed in the last 2 episodes, but maybe they will help put everything into better perspective.

I don't agree with those who have been asserting that somehow Steve Molaro isn't a real Shamy fan or that he has somehow "lost control" of the writers.  First of all, I don't think that's how the writing works, and secondly, I think that Molaro is a fan of all of the characters and all of the relationships.  And, to be a little more cynical--I'm sure he knows which side his bread is buttered on.

While we may not all get everything we're thinking of, I can't help but reserve judgment until I know what's happening in the last 2 eps.  I do believe there has to be a key or an answer in those episodes, one way or another, either to show us that the Shamy is going to take a lot longer and go a lot slower, or to maybe make things from the latter half of this season make more sense or something.

I agree that a tangible act is needed at this point.  It is time to take the leap with Sheldon and quit dancing around things.   I think everyone has bought into them taking their time and moving slowly, but what fans are divided on and many more are getting tired of is the "on the fence" nature the writers have taken to the relationship.   They need to show Sheldon is either in the relationship or not.   If not, then move on and keep him single forever.  But we know that isn't their intent.  They want Shamy as a couple, so commit to it and quit worrying about what it will do to Sheldon and the fan base.  If they do it well, the fans will be right there with them all the way.   They have managed to take fans who never wanted him to be in a relationship to be avid Shamy fans.  They can keep growing that base even further by showing that Sheldon is feeling amorous feelings toward Amy and wants to move their relationship forward.   That he is wanting to romance her (in both of their own quirky ways), and show her that he is falling in love with her.   They really need to move forward tangibly at this point.  Some of that could be through conversation and not even something physical at this point.  Just synchronizing them that they are both working toward a goal.   Amy broached the subject of him marrying and starting a family someday.   She had mentioned it in 6.02 about marrying in four years.   Twice in one season to mention marriage with this couple must mean they are leading somewhere, especially given Sheldon's lack of denial or freaking out when it was mentioned in episode 6.20.   So I do believe they are heading toward them marrying in one of the future seasons, but that means they have some work ahead to get there.

I, like some others have expressed on other forums, do believe they may intend that Sheldon and Amy will marry before having sex though.  I get the feeling they may actually marry first.

1. The next big step is to have some less ambiguous confirmation that Sheldon's heart is in this. The writers seem to be having a major issue with committing to Sheldon having feelings, not just with having him become physical. It's ridiculous at this stage, IMO.

2. I think so, yes, but it's something we will likely never see on the show, so I don't really care to think about it. However, I hope it doesn't become too much of a trend to have Amy bring that up. As much as I am totally fine with the idea of her wanting them to start a family some day, I don't want to be constantly shown the typical girl who can't wait to start procreating scenario.

3. Yes.

4. It's really impossible to tell, right now I feel like it might be far away but I also think the writers might turn around and have it happen in the season finale. I didn't see 6x14 coming, they can surprise again.

5. I don't really care, I don't feel strongly one way or another. The only reason I'd like to see the wedding on screen is because I think they'd look adorable in wedding outfits, but other than that I don't really feel it's something I need to see on the show. I do not think they'll get married before the series finale in any case. If anyone else is to marry while the show is on the air it will be L/P, and even then, it will be a while. They are not going to change the dynamics of 4A and 4B any time soon. The only way I can see them have sex after marriage is if the writers pull something REALLY unusual like them marrying before they even kiss, and I doubt that will happen. They are not pulling that kind of "old fashioned" romance.
