tmp Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Tom Lehrer would be perfect for the role of professor emeritus of mathematics at the university. I've been a Lehrer fangirl since discovering That Was The Year That Was as a teenager. "The Vatican Rag" was my introduction to Catholicism. Years later, when I hosted a weekly public radio show, Lehrer was a programming staple. "Lobachevsky" is one of my all-time favorite songs; "Ingrid Bergman playing part of hypotenuse" put me on the air room floor laughing the first time I heard it. I thought I'd be cute a few months ago at a restaurant to put our names on the list as Lobachevsky because of the song/mathematician. My crazy husband liked this and spoke with a bad Russian accent throughout the entire meal to everybody there. It was hilarious.
