I'm glad I have the finale taping to think about--just heard from the neurologist about my MRI.

OT

Good news/bad news:

Good news: It's what the doctor suspected--a benign, slow-growing neuroma on my auditory nerve (causing some hearing issues I've been having) that has now started rubbing up against the trigeminal nerve (causing the facial numbness).

Bad news: It should be removed, which means surgery...

Good news: The symphony season is almost over, just about a month to go, so I can schedule it after that.

Bad news: I have to deal with this nonsense for another month...

Good news: My parents and maybe my younger sister will probably be able to come out to be with me for the surgery, which I'll probably try to schedule for June.

Bad news: I have to clean my apartment...

Bad news: I'm sure my insurance won't pay for it.

Good news: My younger sister is looking into setting up a donation site to set up a fund to help pay for it. :)

Phanta, while not perfect news, I am so glad to know that it is something that can be removed, cured and done with.   Praise the Lord for that one!    Will continue lifting you up!   I am also glad you have an answer this quick.  Much better, yes?

Comparing the good news to the bad news, it looks like the good outweighs the bad.  The most important thing is that it's treatable.

Why wouldn't your insurance pay for it?  Seems like this is not elective.

I have very minimal coverage through the temp agency I work through.  It's not major medical, so it doesn't cover surgery or hospitalization, etc.

THanks for all the good wishes, you guys!

I'm not really worried about it--I'll save that for the day of the surgery. :)

I keep things in perspective by remembering my nephew's major brain surgery.  If he could endure what he did when he was not quite 2 years old, I figure I can take it. :)

In the meantime, I'll just keep thinking about the Shamy, the finale, and Jim's PANTIES!! :p

A Shamy poem:

Violets are Shamy

Roses are Shamy

Sugar is Shamy

And then Sheldon kisses Amy

I love this idea people are having that the finale should continue from the end of the last scene in 6x23. I want my Shamy like I need air. Bring on next Tuesday/Wednesday!  :icon_biggrin:

Good thing "Fish Guts" is on tonight... I guess I can have my fill of Shamy feels for the day!  :D

Yeah, but I don't see it happening. They are going to want to get all of the relationships to some kind of emotional plateau before ending for the year.

ok. I will now have some glasses of wine. And dinner.

Then Sheldon kisses Amy.

I will wake up to the first feedback of our brave girls at the front! Being cold and standing in line for hours. Thanks!

And Sheldon will have kissed Amy.

Yes. That is how it's gonna be. Sure. Yeah. Absolutely.
