Weren't you agreeing with the very people we are talking about and mocking as well? What are you feelings really on the matter? Just trying to understand.

I know you didn't quote me here, but I used the same quote in my post. As for the my feelings, I was simply thanking koops for saying not to bundle everyone together and for saying the majority are supportive and reasonable. I try to support the shamy shippers, even though my main ship, by far, is Lenny. I did comment on one of the, what I felt, more negative comments, but I don't think how I expressed my thoughts in the post were mocking or negative toward the shamy shippers. Does that clarify my thoughts for you?

Tensor, you are one of the people on this forum who I adore so much. I have so much respect for you because of how kind you are to everyone. There is nothing you can say that would sound offensive to me :-). Other people though...not so much. LOL.

In episode 6.23 where Amy tells Sheldon that she feels everyone thinks their relationship is a joke? That's how I feel some of the fans of the show view it as well and they feel the need to mock those who ship them. That's not fair. You don't have to like it but don't put me down for enjoying it. I don't go around posting, "Oh, typical Lenny..." or any mean-spirited things like that. It's not cool. This show is like an escape and people should be able to enjoy it in peace and not be put down for what they may like more than others.

Now guys, that isn't true. Don't apply the same logic to them as they do to us, just because one or two people bundle us all together doesn't mean all of them do. The vast majority are supportive and reasonable.

am not vast. Just maybe need to drop3kg.

And I just love that there is just so much enthusiasm. Not every little poke is a mortal assualt.

Go amy ... And sheldon, sure, why not.

eta :) :)

Sad part is, I was afraid to put that word Shamy in my signature for quite a while because of how people judge others around here but now, I DON'T CARE! I LOVE SHAMY AND I'M PROUD.

Awwwwwww, thanks Monique(digging toe into the ground). But in the interest of full disclosure, I can and have gotten quite snarky and offensive to some posters I have had disagreements with. In a couple of cases, the other person and I have gotten past it (they got snarky also, we kinda pushed each others buttons) but we both realized it was silly and agreed to disagree and rebooted our online relationship. For the others, while they may have gotten snarky over specific disagreements (and again, to be clear, I'm just as much at fault), and we are not best buddies, I can still appreciate their stances on other things. I try not to take it personally, but I do fail at times.

Shel, star, Pomita, and delsino, thank you the likes on Monique's post.

Yes, we all have our moments like that. That's understandable, we're all human and we're not always going to agree with each other. I think it's only fair that if someone says something that is disrespectful or whatever the case may be that we have a right to let them know it.

There are some people here on the forum who you can have an argument with and then let it go in a flash and it's like it never happened  (which is great).

There are others who just remain mean-spirited and are always looking for their next target and THOSE are the kind of people who end up on my "ignore" list. I can only give people so many chances. I have a bad temper (deep down underneath all my sweetness ;)) so it's not worth getting myself banned over people like that.

I'm sensitive so yes, sometimes I'll allow something as small as what happened in the taping report thread today get to me. I'm a nice person and I treat people how I want to be treated. So why do people have to make me feel bad just because I'm a Shamy fan when I did nothing to deserve that?

I don't recall any Shamys ever posting things like, "Oh, look at the Lenny's....bitching because there was no follow up to Penny's ILY." Would that have been okay? No. But yet, I always see it reversed.

Well said MJ  :)

Although it is hard and I can not rule myself out on this, one should never take this stuff personal. Sometimes I even feel hurt reading posts that do not rely to me and my interests at all.  This forum, although it should be a happy place where people with the same interests meet and communicate, mirrors real life in a lot of ways. So you will always have some lack of empathy and a missing awareness of how words can hurt and cut. In a written form even more than only being said verbally. And a certain anonymity does not improve this behaviour.

I am not afraid of yelling out. "Fraking Hell, YES, I am a Sharmy".

Regards 6.24: I think it is a great episode and I can not wait to see how they will work with this in the beginning of S7. There are a lot of plot bunnys that can be used, especially with Sheldon and Penny, eg Penny "babysitting" Sheldon. And hopefully NOT flushing him down the toilett. Same for the Sheldon Amy activity and them coming closer as Leo is away.

Of course as a hardcore Shamy I am little bittle tiny bit disapointed with the missing interaction. But what did not happen in S6 will hopefully take place after the hiatus. So I am in the middle of a internal fight between impatience and anticipation.

I desperatly hope we will have a great Comicon and loads of Talk Show appearances during summer! pretty pretty please

I agree. I couldn't say it better.. This show is made for fun, to be some escape for others, and people whatch the show for a different reasons. And It's ok that someone have a different opinion than others. If we like somethig it's our right, and it's not a reason that someone mock us because We love Shamy. The show united us here and supposed to give us joy,  not to put barriers between us, and that someone must by all means to convince others that what we like is worse, that their truth is truer than our, and throw insults, just like that, is not fair.

I actually thought that line was a nice little jab to the haters who consider their relationship a joke or a pretend-relationship. And I love that it was followed by possibly the most mature display of boyfriend-hood Sheldon has ever displayed on the show. I think a lot of the time people like to dismiss Shamy as a pretend-relationship where Sheldon doesn't really "mean it" that they're in a relationship, he's just calling it that, but here you have him not only say that he doesn't see their relationship as a joke but that he finds it extremely intimate. By his standards, this is the most intimate he's ever been with a person, it's absurd that people try to fit their criteria of romance to this character and completely ignore the context of who Sheldon is. And it was nice to finally hear it out loud and see confirmation that he does take it seriously and he is trying to grow and he is growing.

On another note, I just read a really nice post by Chiara in the Lenny thread that was saying how the writers' reluctance to "change" Sheldon is actually holding Lenny back too. It's a very interesting point that I never considered before, and one more reason why they really need to start letting the baby bird fly out of the nest a little or they'll risk dragging not only Shamy but Lenny into a weird limbo of stagnation.

It's really meaningfull that Sheldon admit that it is not a joke for him, he gives a lot of proves in 23 ep. that Amy is the most important person for him, his light, and that for her he has changed, for her he tried to deal with his dragons, and and the most important thing that he did it for himself to. They need to take into consideration that this is Sheldon, and some things are not so obvious as they think, and not everything is black and white. Shamy is unique and their relationship is unique and in that's the beauty of it. Both pairs Shamy and Lenny are in some way connected with each common experiences,  interacts with each other, complement each other somehow. And so it is clear that Leonard's trip will have a major impact not only on him and Penny, but also on the Shamy

I agree Koops about the L/P development being hindered by the pace of Shamy. I have felt this way since the Spoiler Alert ep. The writers have backed themselves in a corner IMO. I don't see how Sheldon will be ready next season to live with Amy..as opposed to the Lenny. There has been so much development between Lenny this half of the season and now with the sea job, I can see Penny ready to live with Leonard when he returns.

Yes rach, I think of the same. But it's a bitch that they're holding back to keep it for 4 more years. Maybe they should rethink more plots instead of trying to keep the good things flowing naturally than holding back.

Misophonia, just imagine what would happen to us after the finale. O.O
