vasu Posted April 23, 2013 Share Posted April 23, 2013 I just saw some season 4 episodes.... one thing I noticed in the episode where Priya makes her second appearance..... Through- out the entire episode Sheldon seemed to have a chirpiness about the social conventions while previously it was often shown that he is'nt a fan of those... like telling Howard he could sleep at his house again.....or telling Priya if there is any awkwardness surrounding leonard and penny it might be because they used "do the dance with no pants"... but still at the end when Penny comes to his apartment .... it's Amy who tells him that he has a get her a cup of tea......So i liked the implication that Amy is the one who is pushing Sheldon to behave like that even thought he probably did not understand the need for it......it looked as if Amy herself was growing while also teaching Sheldon....and it also showed an important contrast.... Amy whenever given the opportunity tries to learn how to be social ... where as Sheldon always avoids it.... one thing that i did not like was Sheldon telling Penny to do porn....he should'nt be amoral ....and he had a christian upbringing.....so it felt out of character.... And dear lord....how funny was Amy in this one...every single line out of her mouth was pure genius....even Sheldon could'nt compete with her......great job writers.. Amy during the Priya era was just on fire! And the scene where Penny is upset and goes over to Sheldon's to get Skype-ambushed, and the way they try to take care of her, more or less consciously, is one of my favorite friendship moments on the show. eta: Lovely interview Stardust! I loved every single thing that came out of Mayim's mouth about Shamy, that's really the way I see them and I also noticed that the way she talks about them has changed and gone back to what she used to say before the Paley interviews, emphasizing their similarities as well as their differences. It was incredibly interesting listen how it all started to her, from the begining,from the auditions with all talented actors. And she was so modest and not so hollywood at all, and so proffesional, she didn't said: hey I've got phd and I played Blossom so give me that role... she took part in auditions, she googled Jim and imitated him, to become Sheldon's fimale version. And that part when she talks about that they create nerdy fimale scientist, not sexy scientist, shows how important it is that she shows and plays Amy against all stereotypes, she showed their common advantages, and it gives hope that everybody can find their own second half, no matter how nerdy and quirky they are. And of course I love how she talks about how she feels secure with Jim, how they are close and looks like he takes care of her, and he supported her from the beggining it show how much this means for her. Yes I love Amy in season 4. She was the best, I love the scene when she came to Penny to support her, when Leonard started dating with Pria. Every word is so hilarious, and she was so supportive to Penny, I love that part of their friendship. And this ep. when Leonard Pria invited Howard and Bernadette for diner....plotting a conspiracy, and reporting on the phone, it was really fun and Amy behaved there as a teenager that supports her friend when another took her boyfriend, how pleasure it is for her and every line is so hilarious, but also shows how important Penny is for her. Amy: Good news: the wildebeest is in the curry. Penny: The what? Amy: Bernadette is with Priya and Leonard. Message received. I think he likes to exercise a lot, I know he's said he was obsessed with running for awhile, and I think if he doesn't eat enough to counterbalance it he drops his weight down pretty far, such as the start of season 4, when he got incredibly thin. He didn't like how he looked then and put some weight back on; personally, I prefer how he looks at his heaviest, such as at the end of season 5. He's gone back down recently - the promo for the next episode, the Closure Alternative, surprised me because he hasn't looked quite that skinny in awhile. Time for him to eat a few more sammiches. I could never really call him chubby because he has never been heavy enough for chubby, but when he weighed the most (in Season 5) is how I liked him best. When he gets too thin, he looks like skin over a skeleton. LOL! He does better with more weight and I do like the longer hair as well. It helps balance his high forehead (receding hairline). Of course I know it will happen when the writers allow but.. Let's hope it'll happen in season 7 sometime. What do you think, will it happen during the season, or will the writers postpone it to finale episodes of season 7? I'm still so surprised that they went the whole season with one hand holding, so I won't expect too much for next year. So I'll happily surprised if the writers choose to take different kind of route with Shamy next year. Hope it will be different kind of season for them. And for this seasons Shamy I'm still very happy for episodes 1-16 and I havent seen yet 21-24, so happily waiting what Shamy goodness there is in store for us in 21 and 23, since there is no Amy in 22 or Shamy in 24 according the taping reports. My only other wish for season 7 besides the Shamy kiss is, that we could see more the side of intelligent Amy, "nerdy-Amy". That was equal to Sheldon's intellect and so that they could have their nerdy scientific project together, whatever it could be. For me his the best look was at the end of season 4 and during season 5. Hair little longer or shorter as like now... and yeah his sideburns makes him look even more hotter. The hosts were friendly and well-informed, and Mayim's comments about Jim and Shamy were hugely satisfying. For me it's hard to tell whether I like Jim plumper or slimmer, long hair or short hair, because I seem to love him to pieces every which way. His eyes are always the same. It's true that his early season 4 look had me worried, but mainly for health reasons; I trust that he'll take care not to lose quite that much weight again. I'm agreeing so much with Catlina's Shamy wishes, especially the second. More sciency/nerdy chemistry between them, is what we need! It'd be a nice way to both have an insane amount of Shamy goodness and shut people who complain that Amy's turning Sheldon away from his work up.
