You just made my day. Sheldon's reaction and Amy being so gentle while she told him about it really moved me. He was so mature and that he wanted to support George, so sweet. I wonder how solution they will find to alleviate that situation with Penny knowing about that their relationship is physical to. Misophonia Posted April 25, 2013 Share Posted April 25, 2013 Cat, I sometimes think if he were to sleep with Amy (even just platonically) it might be initiated in her apartment mainly because it seems they have shared most of their intimate moments in her apartment (except for the D&D game).  So part of me feels that he might want to practice that there first as well.  You are right, we always assumed her to have a one-bedroom apartment, but it could be that she actually is in a two-bedroom unit and we were just unaware of it.  That might be an interesting thing to learn down the road.  Silver, I think his joke about being the sexy pool boy is in relation to their last project they did together called Garden State...he was a "sexy pool boy" in a scene there (where he is in the pool).  LOL  I could be wrong, but I think it was a joking reference to that.   Lost, I think Amy is clearly disturbed in the photo..she looks like she is frowning slightly and yes that she isn't comfortable...more uncomfortable and sad than anything.  Sheldon looks not only determined but part of me thinks he looks like he is slightly holding back a laugh. He definitely does not look upset at all, but more like he was waiting for her answer and actually looked willing to play the game right there with everyone. I am glad they kept it for the bedroom...it was far better and he is probably happier about it as well in hind sight.  By the way, I hate that green sweater. It is so bulky and unbecoming. LOL! I think it is safe to say that she definitely only has one bed and lives in a one-bedroom apartment. Otherwise, the one night Sheldon did spend the night (with the bongo booty call) he would have not slept on the couch. I think he's just kind of reading her reaction, and maybe understanding that she's immediately uncomfortable at the idea.  But it's hard to say, because this is a still from a moment that could be very fleeting. If we didn't know about the scene that follows, how would we interpret his expression? It looks pretty neutral to me.  I agree. I think it's about him waiting to see what she will do. Not necessarily because he is game to do what has been requested of them, but more because Sheldon is aware that she is able to pick up on the subtle nuances of social interactions with their friends better than he is. He has come to depend on her for that. She knows immediately that their friends are out of line doing this--not only because it means they don't see Shamy's relationship as "real," but also because no one should be asked to do this. It's humiliating. In this instance, she and Sheldon have become like the monkeys she is always studying.  So, I think Sheldon's look is more about him watching her to see how he should be reacting here. It's more for guidance than anything else. He trusts her explicitly in this way. It's one of the things I think they have done a great job showing in Season 6. Sheldon is more comfortable and trusting of her than he is of anyone. (He hides behind her during an attack, he lets her comfort him, etc.) I even think his sometimes acerbic remarks to her comes from this place as well.
