I can't help but wonder what will happen in season seven with SHAMY.  I know there will be more progression in their relationship hopefully both emotionally and physically, and there are like a million different fun things they can do or try.

 

For some reason i have this crazy idea in my head of how funny/adorable it would be if Sheldon accidently took some Viagra like pills.   Like if Bernadette's science lab is working on new medication for men struggling with sexual arousal or erectile dysfunction and she brings some home with her and then Sheldon gets a headache or something while over their place for dinner so he takes  the wrong medicine or even worst as a prank Penny gives it to him like how she spikes his ice tea with alcohol sometimes.   Anyway, Sheldon starts acting all weird and horny but doesn't really get whats happening to him so he and guys get convinced he's finally going through Vulcan Pon far and now has the desperate need to mate.   Thats when Amy steps in and realizes along with Bernadette that Sheldon took the wrong medicine. 

 

Amy then has a dilemma on her hands does she tell Sheldon the truth about what happened to him or does she just let it play out that way we get to watch Sheldon actually trying to seduce her lol you know in a SHELDONish type way of course. Perhaps we get a Sheldon style strip tease LOL. I think it make for some hilarious comedy.  But this time I want Amy to tell Sheldon truth before anything physical happens between them.  After she confesses to him Sheldon has to immediately be rushed to the hospital because the medicine he took is depriving his brain of too much blood causing him to pass out, all the blood has gone down to another part of his anatomy

 

Amy sits by Sheldon's hospital bed and holds his hand while doctors have to adminster something to counteract the bad meds he took and get him back to "normal"  Once sheldon wakes up and realizes how crazy he behaved while on the pills even worst if he happened to go to work and accidently sexually harrass Mrs. Davis or Alex again because of the meds so now he's about to get fired for it.   But, Amy talks to Mrs. Davis for him and convinces her to let Sheldon keep his job after they leave the hospital.  Sheldon is so happy that he gets to keep working he finally thanks Amy and gives her a small kiss on the cheek.   Not a full lip kiss we can save that one for later perhaps midseason finale or next Valentine's Day episode.

 

It could be interesting to watch something like that, Especially to watch Sheldon being horny     and wanting Amy so bad... ...

I wanted sheldon to kiss Amy on the lips for first time in this coming season finale  , i orginally thought it be perfect example of year long progression from the last season finale where he held her hand for first time, but now I'm afraid it won't happen this week since they just played sex game this past week with her.  So I'm trying to think of small little baby steps that might happen before the kiss.  The writers all know we Shamys want him to kiss her SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!  I think they might hold out on us for as long as possible but if he doesn't kiss her in season seven at some point...I say we all BOYCOTT!! LOL

I don't want Sheldon to be on any sort of pills or alcohol when he makes a move with Amy  I want him to be totally aware of what is happening. I also agree that it would be SO SWEET if he initiated the kiss for the first time at new years, or if he complained that they were going to fast because they have all the time in the world. I think he's holding back because of his issues physical touching, but also because he knows he wants to and he doesn't want to admit that or change. I think he is beyond affection and heading towards love with Amy. I really wish Amy would act a little less desperate about it, because it seemed to me he was always more happy with her when she wasn't demanding physical stuff or calling him a preying mantis. Any serious intimate steps in their relationship should be done with them alone, i think, just how it was in his bedroom just Amy and Sheldon because they are quite private about things like that and I just feel it gives them so much more depth and meaning rather than everyone watching or jokes being made about it.

I'm so glad that they got to meet in Paris after all.. I was wondering if they would, after her trip was cut short. I'm okay with no photoshoot together, for now; I'm looking forward to seeing the stylish solo pictures she describes.

 

I like how she says 'the vegan restaurants we researched'. So Jim participated in looking them up, and joined her both days for vegan food. That kind of consideration and friendly attention is so Jim.

Lexi, I agree with Phanta...that sort of storyline would be a bit over the top and creep me out.  I am not into Sheldon on any sort of substances that enable him to become more amorous, and certainly not ones that make him behave poorly at work.  Yikes!   I think keeping them along the sweet ways they are doing are just fine.   I do want the kiss to come though!  It is long overdue!

 

Pom, I too am looking forward to the photos.  They sound like they will be beautiful of her.  I can't wait.

Hi Maddie...welcome.   The signature is from a photo taken during Paley Fest.   There were a ton of adorable moments between them there.  They were like a cute married couple all the time during it.

Has anyone seen this video? It's from Comic Con 2010 (summer before S04) - and Jim is asked about Kaley and Mayim (and him winning this golden potato award) but it's nice to see this interview - ShAmy have really come a long way since then.

Cute video.  Yes they have come a long way and it is true that he and Kaley have this sort of, as he calls it "sick relationship"  when it comes to being mean to each other, yet you can still tell they admire and like each other.     What struck me is how cute he is when talking about Mayim.  His enthusiasm level went way up and his eyes lit up.   You can tell he was very excited about the potential story line and the opportunity to work with her again.   That was so sweet.

Okay, so I know I'm a newbie, and I've read every single post on here since 6-23 aired, and so many people have given great interpretations and insights, many of which I didn't catch the first time I watched it. Needless to say, that episode floored me, and I just want to give a few of my thoughts.

 

First of all, going into this episode, I had no idea what was going to happen. I hadn't even read the info on the TV guide. I was kind of distractedly watching, but when the Shamy scene happened, and Sheldon suggested the D&D coitus, my ears perked up like Scooby Doo. Like many others have said, I felt kind of embarrased and awkward watching it, because it felt so intimate.

 

Just the whole scene blows my mind. When he first came into the bedroom and CLOSED THE DOOR BEHIND HIM, I was like "Oh hoh, shit's going down." I knew just from him closing the door that something huge would happen with Shamy; I just had no idea what. Initially, my gut was that she would break up with him, because you can see resignation written all over her face. Despite him saying, "To me, what we have is extremely intimate," it's apparent in that moment that they just want completely different things. She wants to get physical; he doesn't. Plain and simple.

 

But THEN! The miracle happened. Right as Amy was about to get up, probably with her mind made up that this relationship is finito, Sheldon GRABS HER ARM, and says, "Wait a minute." I just KNEW he was about to kiss her. I had my sleeve in my mouth. My heart was pounding. But what happened instead was perhaps much more significant. Sheldon could have let it go right then and there. If he hadn't any intuition at all, he would have been satisfied with knowing that he had appeased Amy and all was well and good because she was wanting to go back and join the group.

 

But Sheldon, who is so utterly uncomfortable with physical intimacy, basically says with his D&D proposal, "I am going to push myself because I love you and I want to prove to you that I'm serious and I want to try to do this." And the part I keep rewinding and rewatching is the part where he says, "I lead you to a secluded area... and attempt to remove your armor." And he looks at her for a moment before looking down to roll the die. I just... the way he looks at her in that moment, with so much conviction and yet vulnerability, I can't.

 

It's such a huge milestone in their relationship. Now we know that Sheldon, who detests physical intimacy and takes huge pride in declaring it, is willing to give up his pride and comfort and surrender to his love for Amy. It's wonderful to see something like this happen to someone like him. It is probably the most human we have ever seen him.

I can just picture SHeldon in a cowboy get up ready to dance and strut his stuff for Amy only to pass out and then wake up in hospital with her by his side.  He be grateful she didn't let him do anything too bad or get fire so then when he's perfectly normal again that is when he kissed her.  I definitely want a kiss though and soon.  I think Sheldon has gotten undressed a few times on show before and even showed up to work in crazy maids costume before so I don't think it be creepy if he showed up to work dressed like a sexy cowboy or something and try to get undressed in front of Amy in cafeteria or maybe even in private at his office, but Mrs. Davis walked in on them or something. LOL  well I just hope SHAMY has fun and does more funny, adorable sexy stuff next season no matter what.

I actually really liked your scenario. I think it would be hilarious, and I wouldn't be surprised if something like this turned up in a future episode. I think it would be so entertaining to see Sheldon hitting on Amy and have her WTFing and he's getting more and more faint until he passes out and she has to take him to the hospital. Of course, then to be absolutely appalled upon waking up. I don't see how it would be creepy, unless they liked showed him getting a boner or something. xP Sorry if that's too crass.

 

Personally, I don't find it any less creepy than him spanking her.

I just think this is all too way over the top not only for the characters but for the show itself.  "Dance and strut his stuff for Amy"?

 

The previous times that he's been undressed have been very specific things--the time he got drunk in order to get through his speech, the time he started to strip down to take a shower because of the infested chair, but then ran out because Penny had a used band-aid on the floor of her shower, the time he got pantsed in the Pilot.  When he wore the maid's outfit it was under duress and out of desperation to meet Hawking.

But functioning for an extended time because of some kind of drug--and for what reason?  Just to act up in front of Amy?

 

I'm not objecting to your personal fantasy, if you want to imagine such scenarios.  We're all free to indulge our personal fantasies in various ways.  But I don't find any of this funny or adorable or sexy or anything like that.  Sorry.

 

I want to see Sheldon kiss Amy, too, but I don't want silly hijinks.  I love to see them being funny together, but smart funny.

Nearly a week after the episode and I still find stuff to analyze about that scene. And one of my thoughts kind of relates to the whole SIK: drunk or not debate.

 

First of all, I am pretty convinced Amy has been to his room before on multiple occasions. She ran in there as if it were the natural go-to place for her to find solace in the apartment, where most people would probably run to the bathroom when at someone else's place. And Sheldon was totally fine with it. 

 

Second, all things considered, I'm actually happy there was no kiss or other type of major physical contact. This was truly Sheldon showing her he is interested in moving forward but only at his own pace and only going as far as he is comfortable to go, instead of crossing lines he is not ready to cross just to please her and keep her. And Amy's acceptance and eventual happiness with it shows that she does love him and that he is more important to her than the actual physical act, that she'd willing to take as much as he can give and not force more out of him. Given what he had just told her (that he was not interested in intimacy before her, but would not rule it out now - i.e. he is interested but he doesn't know if he can do it for sure right now - and "It's only been three years and here we are in bed together") it didn't sound like he was ready for more just yet and if he had kissed her there it would have come across as something he's doing because he's desperate to keep her rather than to show her that he's working on it and that he's serious about it. And more importantly that he wants it.

 

I'm actually glad that it seems like the writers are not going for the upset!Amy scenario for Sheldon to kiss her, and that there is a good chance that when he does kiss her it's not going to be a dramatic moment but something that shows that he clearly wants it. It's obvious that they most likely cut out a kiss on V-day and I think that in that context it would have been perfect, and it sounds like that kind of context is what they have in mind for a SIK. 

 

I'm not sure where they'll be going with this next season, because they could spin it around and have Amy reach the point where it's really not enough for her anymore and cause drama, but I hope that's not the route they're planning to follow, and I'm hopeful that is not the case, given Molaro's "All I know is that they're moving forward". But I would actually much prefer seeing Amy give up on sex because Sheldon's more important to her than that, than have her consider terminating the relationship because she wants something he can't give her (yet). Or if she does consider it, to then come to realize she loves him more than she wants him. I don't want her to be shown putting physical desires above Sheldon, it would really cheapen Amy as a character to me. Not because I don't think she has the right to desire more, but because it would truly make her a "normal" girl in a relationship with a difficult boyfriend. That's why I dig the whole TSA agent scenario: the fact that she is *that* uncomfortable with other people touching her really showed that, in a lot of ways, she's still the Amy we met back in the day.

I agree with most thing you said koops. I would like to see that she give up on sex because she loves Sheldon, and he is more important for her than sex, because she loves him that much, and Sheldon seeing this at the beggining is happy with that, but later seeing what she has done for him, he could have some feeling guilty. Taking consider this that he wants her to, and because he loves her so much he  promises that they are so close to it, because he wants it to, because he is working on it, and then she could say that it is not such sacrifice for her, because all  what they have in common, and all what they have been through, and all emotions and feelings she has for him are  more important to her than sex. Then he could say because of all  what she said, and that he has a lot of  feelings for her, he  wants that  their relationship become more intimate and he wants to give it to her. 

It could be in more Sheldony way, but all I'm saying that I want to see, she had chosen love for him, and for her, sex is less important

and he seeing that wants to give  intimate moments to her of his own free will, because he loves her.

tbh I would kill for a scene where Amy tells Sheldon she loves him too much and is ready to sacrifice her need for intimacy for him, only to have him answer something along the lines of "stop this noble nonsense, I don't only want to try for you, I want to try because I want to try."

I don't think that I want her making any kind of declarations or sacrifices or whatever.  I just want Sheldon to take it upon himself to kiss her in some moment of true affection.

While the V-Day ep would have worked well--he's grateful to her for not making him go out on a traditional V-Day date, etc.--I think it would have been almost too cliche or obvious a moment.

 

I'd almost like it to be at the end of one of their Date Nights or maybe even just some evening that they've spent together doing whatever.  Maybe she's done something nice for him, maybe she's just said something really clever and they're both chuckling over it.

In that moment he is somehow moved by pure affection for her and finally goes for a simple kiss to try to express it.

 

I don't want drama, I don't want speeches, I don't want innuendo or discussions of desire.  I don't even need "I love you" in the moment.

Maybe something along the lines of that first drunken kiss (but both of them stone-cold sober)--they're just sitting there talking and he sees her in a different light, and he acts upon it.
