You know how in French we can translate "you" to either "tu" or "vous" (and in Spanish it's "tu" and "usted" and I don't know about any other language but I bet there are plenty that stress this difference), and I was wondering, in French, when would the Shamy go from "vous" to "tu" (for those who don't know, "tu" is much more intimate, you use it with close friends and relatives).

Like, when did they realise they were past the polite and safe "vous" to tread into the emotional territory of the "tu"? Because it always says a lot in a movie when the ~couple~ goes from "vous" to "tu"...

I have a theory about Shamy...

 

In Star Trek, Vulcans (like Spock, for example) have (what is essentially) sex once every seven years in what is known as Pon Farr.

The next season of TBBT will be its seventh.

I believe Sheldon will have sex with Amy (his own personal pon farr) in season seven of The Big Bang Theory.

Easy as that.

One problem. The Vulcan Pon Farr cycle starts on the seventh year of a couples melding. Amy and Sheldon have only known each other for three years. Seven years means only something for us viewers and Leonard and Penny.

I read the L/P thread and they seem convinced that Sheldon is going to drive Amy so nuts over the summer that she'll be grateful when Leonard comes back... Lol makes you wonder if we are watching the same show, because Amy stated on several occasions that she loves the quirks everyone hates him for.

Amy should be thought of as the salvation for Leonard and Penny. Sheldon needs a guardian and she is eager to fill the role to relieve them so they can start their independent life.

Hey, just checking in to let y'all know that I have disappeared because my laptop has broken down a few days back. It's gone for repair, so now I only have my office pc and am usually too busy during working hours to be able to check in. And I can't even watch episodes or interviews at home, pity me. :(

 

So I'll be regular here again as soon as (a) my laptop gets repaired or (b ) I buy a new laptop, because I'm seriously starting to have TBBT withdrawal symptoms.

 I've been quite busy last few weeks, I haven't had much time to read this thread. The one question I had from the Love spell potential episode, was that, when we saw Sheldon and Amy in the bedroom, they had only one dice. Is the dice for D&D a normal dice with dots to 1-6? Anyway later, when we hear Amy shouting "14, yes!", they must have added another dices to the game to have number 14? Did Sheldon had it/them in his bedroom? Is it allowed to add another dices to the D&D game in the middle of the game? Sorry if this has been discussed here earlier. How come could Amy have number 14 with only one dice if the dice is normal, I really don't know the rules of the game. 
I can hear from Amy's voice that she is extremely happy in that moment. After all, we didn't see what happened there behind the door in the tag scene. How they exchanged looks, did they touch each other or how the game ended. If Sheldon was able to say that he is erotically caressing her, that is a lot and he could have been saying other erotic stuff too to her which we only didn't get to hear. Sheldon had to know the definition of "erotic" before he was able to use it! I can sense from Amy's voice the triumphant joy, like she had won something. Maybe in that evening, she "won" some new part of Sheldon to her own, that is, his intimacy. It was the first time to them to get so intimate. She won a promise from him that they will get intimate some time in the future, even more practical level. Her extreme triumph there was by all means justifiable.
And I sense Sheldon finally showed a side from him to Amy that he has never, ever revealed to her or anybody else in his entire life before. It was monumental and earth-shaking moment for Sheldon too.  I can see he was trembling for excitement, pleasure and thrill. Part of him was enjoying the moment, a part of him was maybe on guard a bit, but he put his fears aside and let the D&D game happen. He was excited to confront Amy in the new level as they did and it was extremely pleasurable to him too.

They did this more than three times (maybe trying different takes) on this single scene AND SHELDON AND AMY ONLY KISSED LIKE TWICE IN THREE YEARS.

Good catch, that is indeed different! Not surprised they did several takes though, at that speed Mayim's pouncing in I bet there have been a few collisions too, LOL.

 

@Cat: Molaro has described the D&D as "their first sexual experience", so whatever we did not get to see was most definitely not just kissing and Sheldon knew exactly what he was doing.

Yes Catlina. It was massive experience for both of them. Huge step forward and especially for Sheldon, and he gave her far more than a kiss. He gave her his fragility, his intimacy, his  efforts, his hard work to cope with his fears and phobias. I think that for him the reward was that he saw how many wonderful feelings aroused in her because of what  he did. It was all off camera, but I think it was so intense and overwhelming feeling for them, just as you wrote. He saw it in her eyes, and how much she was  pleased  by the fact that he wanted to finish the game, to gave her at least sexy D&D with their characters having sex, his confession that he wants it just  like she, that before her there wasn't another woman who would release such feelings in him. We have not seen it but I'm sure it was. As koops said Sheldon knew what he wanted, and what he did was not only for her but for their future intimate moments together.           

And when I think of it I just can't wait for s7...        .

You can tell by how Sheldon holds his hands in his lap. And the angle Mayim's head is at is slightly different. The most common picture you usually see is the one where they pretty much bump noses and that's the CBS promo photo.

Yes, like Koops said, the hand on Jim's lap are all different. When I was new to the fandom it was like my first discovery ever when I saw the promo photo from cbs and when I saw a screencap. I freaked out when I realized this was not done in a single take. Then now, there's a third one and my head was reeling. Oh, and yeah, Mayim's head was tilted in different angles and the chins and the nose smushes are of different distances and degrees. No, I'm not obsessed.

Last year's hiatus was my first one and the first time's the hardest. I think I'm not freaking out yet because I'm a bit occupied with some school problem but other than that I feel I'm coping well with maintaining 3 fansites, forum accounts and tumblr blogs. But I AM SO EFFING DESPERATE FOR AN INTERVIEW OR PHOTOS OF THEM OR JUST UPDATES DAMMIT

That's like me I only discovered tbbt halfway through season 5 and I spent the whole summer catching with previous seasons (many times) and everything that comes with this brilliantly awesome show
