Plot twist: the writers are actually closeted Shenny shippers who decided it was time for them to become public about their beliefs. In a heartbreakingly disgusting Season 7, Sheldon and Penny do the nasty while Leonard and Amy fall into each other's arms. The season finale is a double wedding, ending on the cliffhanger of seeing Raj and Mrs Wolowitz getting a little too close...

I feel so bad I'm giving Molaro the benefit of the doubt. I'm ending up so unpopular my Karma ratings on plurk has dropped to an infinite number.

I'll let you hold my hair while I puke.

The question was about missing Leonard, not about progressing relationships. And I know (oh, faith trust and Shamydust) someone in the writers' room will be our voice of reason.

Okay, I sound so pathetic I will shut up now.

I don't mind Sheldon and penny being friends or in Penny's case Sheldon being like her little kid but no way in any universe should they be together!

Molaro never said he'd push them together. I see it as him saying that they might be closer as friends. Of course, from the finale, it was to Penny who Leonard asked for Sheldon to be taken care of so, maybe Penny's just going to prevent buying Leonard a new Sheldon.

I'm not mad about Shenny, I'm disappointed that it sounds like using the summer to progress Shamy hasn't even crossed their minds, but instead they are focusing on S/P. That's very disappointing to me. I know it's a long way to S7, but it sounds like it isn't a priority and that they don't have any plans to evolve from status-quo.

I agree koops. I'm very dissapointed, No Shamy plans . It makes me little sad and worry :( . They have to be focused on every pair and every character, not to pick who is more important and who is their priority...

I didn't read the interview answer as Molaro saying Penny and Sheldon would be getting closer, I read it as Penny & Leonard's relationship and Sheldon & Leonard's friendship would get closer

This is how I read it:

Looking ahead to season seven, who's going to miss Leonard more: Penny or Sheldon?

I think that's an excellent question you're asking. Pen has not been put to paper, but I think it's fair to say that the key figure [Leonard] in these two characters' lives, Penny and Sheldon's, is missing, and I think it's fair to say that it [Leonard's absence] will have an impact on their [sheldon and Leonard's] friendship and their [Penny and Leonard's] relationship. I think it's an opportunity for them [sheldon's and Leonard's friendship & Penny's and Leonard's relationship]  to get closer.

I am also bummed that bringing Shamy closer doesn't sound like a thought at the moment but I think there is no way around it with Leonard gone

However if he does mean Shenny is getting closer and that plot twist happens, then I would be rioting!! Hahah but I think Shamy is safe

Ohhh I see what you mean delsino. It definitely would make more sense. I thought it was bizarre that he would be talking about P/S's relationship with regards to Leonard's absence instead of Lenny and S/L because I would hope sending Leonard away would be a way to change the dynamics between these two pairs. I just hope they're not going to use it as an excuse to drag Lenny out even longer (i.e. Sheldon's missed Leonard so he gets clingy when he gets back to the point of becoming annoying. I can already hear the wails of anger and hatred towards Sheldon raising if that happens).

Well that makes sense. I hope this will now stop some black clouds to form in this place.

Alright guys.

To keep us all busy I've come up with an idea for a fic/fanart/gif/etc challenge, The Shamy Bingo. It's like a bingo card, only with Shamy-related prompts, and you can choose to fill only one line like you can choose to complete the whole card.

Each prompt must be used in a different fic/fanart/gifset, like, you can't use two prompts for one same work, and the lines can be either vertical or horizontal or diagonal.

Those are pretty much the only rules. Wait no, there is a third rule that is "have fun."

Here is the card:

I hope you guys are interested enough to participate. If not it'll just be me being awkward again. :3

I was thinking to myself today, that one of many reasons I love Shamy is that how well they know one another, just as if they had one brain, like there was some kind of invisible force combining them on extrasensory level, telepathically. I mean, no matter what he will tell her, how he would try to hide his feelings, or how awkwardly he would feel, she always will  understand him, always knows what he really meant, what he tries to say to her. And he knows her more than she can imagine. His adjetic memory helps him remeber, at least he says about himself: "This mind never forgets", so he knows  and remembers every detail about her. And given that D&D sexy game he knows her feelings and emotions more than he would may admit to himself. They have strong bond on intelectual level, on spiritual level and emotional level, they just need to meet in half a way and say it to each other, and listen to each other, and that bedroom scene was good start. I love that she always knows what to tell him, to comfort him, or make him feel more relaxed, she knows when he needs hug, and he is for her to, to take care of her, be there for her when she needs him to comfort her. I would like to see him doing it, doing something for her, just small everyday gestures, or maybe those bigger ones for her on his own initiative, without being pushed.

I know this isn't Shamy-related but I was looking at the Tony nominations for this year and Laurie Metcalf is up for an award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play.  *applause*

Molaro's quote sounds to me as something he was quickly taking out of his hat, like musing in that moment around the possibilities raised by the question the interviewer made, not something they had been already seriously planning.

So, quick!, someone (some representatives at comic-con, perhaps?) pitch him a Shamy-centric plot for the Leonard-less time cleverly disguised as an innocent question, like: "Will Amy and Sheldon will spend more time together while Leonard is away?" or, "Is Amy going to spend a night over at the guys apartment before Leonard's return?"

Maybe we must try subliminal ifluencing! ;)

I love to join this, but, to be frank, I don't know how. Could somebody please spell it out for me?

Thanks a lot!!!

Some news: http://www.fashionnstyle.com/articles/7719/20130605/the-big-bang-theory-season-7-spoilers-sheldon-amy-go-all-way-season-6-finale-hints-raj-getting-new-girlfriend-leonard-penny-more-serious.htm

"The hit CBS show "Big Bang Theory" season 6 is over, but some hints from the finale falls over to what can happen with Sheldon and Amy, Raj, and Leonard and Penny in season 7.

Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler

Sheldon [Jim Parsons] and Amy [Mayim Bialik] have come a long way together.

TV Fanatic gave them the title of "Best Relationship Growth," topping Penny and Leonard's relationship stabilization.
"From putting Vaporub on Amy when she was sick, to Sheldon's honest response to Penny's sex question, and then Sheldon and Amy's D&D virtual intimacy, Sheldon has grown immensely. Will they ever get physical? Perhaps, but these baby steps in that direction work with the character and provide humor," TV Fanatic explained.

That's definitely something fans are looking forward to in season 7."

Me: Who wouldn't?  :icon_cheesygrin:

I agree with Sarah that Molaro's answers to the questions kept things pretty generic, and gave away nothing as to what's coming next season. I think he has some ideas, but nothing hard and firm yet, and I doubt there's been much writing if any at all. The truth is that writing is hard work, and coming up with idea after idea and turning it into something really good week after week is difficult. When you do so much writing, and you're under so much pressure, you need to step away from things for awhile in order to recharge your batteries and just to clear your head. People can sometimes do amazing things on adrenaline, but you cannot run on it and stress 24/7. It takes a toll on people, and they don't come up with their best ideas this way. If the show, it's producers and writers are smart, they will step away from the show for awhile and do something else or just not think about it very much for awhile.

So I doubt he has anything hard and fast to say about next season, which he didn't, but Steve wouldn't want to give away any spoilers anyway.

Lol. I wonder how I have totally forgotten that line " I look like a flash who's about to get married". For me, that tells a lot about Sheldon and what he has thought about Amy at that point.

To me it's more that line at Howard's bachelor party: "I always thought you'd be the last one of us to ever get married." Really Sheldon??? :p

I wouldn't call that a dream sequence - I'd call that a nightmare sequence.

But maybe that's just my over-dramatic side speaking.
