Ok, I may or may not have been watching 6x23 again and did anyone notice how when the love spell gets cast and Howard is describing the setting Amy is pretty much constantly looking at Sheldon for his reaction, in this kind of adorably vulnerable way?

I've been rewatching TLSP a lot too lately. I'm copy-pasting my tumblr post that I made earlier this evening about it (it's not related to what you said, but I feel like there's not been enough Shamy-love on this thread lately.)

 

I’ve been thinking a lot about the Shamy lately (well, “lately”… All I’ve been thinking about for the past six months is the Shamy, lbr), especially about Amy, because whenever I watch The Love Spell Potential (which is more often than I’d care to admit), the fact that Amy thinks their friends see Sheldon and Amy’s relationship is a joke absolutely breaks my heart. Especially in the light of what she says in The Bon Voyage Reaction, about the gang making her feel loved. She obviously values them all a lot, and the fact that for a fleeting instant, Amy seems convinced that they don’t respect her couple is just so sad.

 

But I think that for all the jokes they crack about the Shamy being a couple of weirdos, the gang actually respects and even, somehow, admires them. Penny calls them “Pasadena’s favourite power couple”, and it could be ironic, sure, but we joke often enough about the Shamy being Penny’s OTP to see how this is actually what she really thinks. I mean, the urban dictionary definition for “power couple” is A couple who seems to have a fairy tale romance. Also, both parties involved in the power couple have tremendous influence over people around them because of their devastating good looks and seemingly perfect relationship with their significant other. That shows how much Penny thinks Sheldon and Amy are perfect for each other. And in the episode where Leonard imagines all the possible outcomes to him and Penny going out together again, he actually sees the Shamy saying “let’s not flaunt our happy relationship.” In Leonard’s mind, Sheldon and Amy have the strongest bond of anyone he knows. And in the same episode, when we’re back to reality, Bernadette is actually disappointed that Sheldon and Amy have never gone on a double date with Howard and her.

 

It gives me so many warm fuzzies, because the Shamy is as radiant as the sun and their friends know it and bask in their glory. I love this gang’s friendship and it’s nice to know that in spite of what Amy thinks, they all are aware of the gem that Sheldon and Amy are.

Like you said, when Howard describes how the love spell works, she always glances  at Sheldon discreetly, like she wanted to make sure he does not run away, not freaks out. Then when  Howard finished describing how the spell works, she looks at him with such uncertainty and there is  such a fragility and sadness in her face and in her eyes.    She  looks at Sheldon like she was waiting for what he will do, or what he will say, when she doesn't see his reaction, she walks out. 

 

Sheldon is a little surprised, and before he could react and say something, she said that she does not like it, and she runs to his room.  Sheldon is like if he was  waiting for her permission, and I do not think he reacted like that because he was being scared,  he waited just what she would say, like  if he wanted that she would decided: If you want us to do it, I will do it, but only if you want it, you are the most important. 

He  gave this evidence when he said to Howard: You see what happen if you let girls play D & D. .. IMO his response was that if he was angry at Howard, that he  allowed them to play, but not because he does not want to  play D&D with girls, but just because it has led to a situation where Amy felt hurt, and sad, and like he said in fish guts ep.  she is his girlfriend and he is worry about her wellbeing, and he loves her, what we can see in bedroom scene.

And when she is sitting on his bed, right when the bedroom scene begins, she is so sad... like she was about to cry... it really breaks my heart when I see her like this. She rolls her eyes when Sheldon knocks at the door, like she was sure what he will say, that he will not say anything special, and only will hurt her more, but she didn't ask him to went out, and she did not  went out. If she wanted to be alone, she would walked out from the apartment, but she went to his room, like she had hope that he will come, to be for her. She said you don't have to come here to cheer me up, but I think that she had hope that maybe it is the moment that he will be with her and for her to proove that this relationship is not a joke for him, and he proved this with all his being, that he loves her and she is the one, and only with her he wants to do it, but he isn't ready at this specific moment, and when he sees that his answer is not enough, to make happy , and because he wants it so bad, he proposed to her that they should finish sexy D&D 

 

I think that it means something that he threw the dice on the book which is about trains( there are trains on the cover, in front yellow  train and at the back cover white and red) He loves trains, and they played, role playing sex in D&D, that means everything what he said was so important to him, and being intimate with her, and that he showed so much honesty and vulnerability for her.

I'm pretty sure I have said it before, but that episode is the one that really cemented my love for the Shamy. Seeing the both of them being so vulnerable in that scene in the bedroom, was something I hadn't really seen in them before. Amy's reaction to what Howard was saying and that look you are talking about, really pulled at my heart strings. Also watching Sheldon sort of come to her rescue and really push himself to show amy how much he cared about her to make her feel better, was just so sweet. They can be quite adorable haha

I am frustrated because I keep on checking back ffnet under the Shamy filter and that Vegas Interpretation is on the topmost fanfics. Then I would look at the latest chapter number and see that it's still chapter 16. KILL ME NOW I CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER

Shenny - Those crazy people who ship Sheldon and Penny as a couple.

 

Peldon - Those sane individuals who just like the Sheldon and Penny are friends.

The closer season 7 gets, the more excited I'm getting. One thing I would definitely want to see in season 7, is Shamy doing their quirky things together again. For example a situation where Sheldon and Amy would argue about something and then resolve it with Sheldon's much used way "rock, paper, scissors, lizard, spock", and then Amy winning Sheldon by far. And I would love if they tried to play the three dimension chess with each other and then again Amy winning Sheldon in his own game. The consequences could be... hmm, surprising and unusual, I would say.    Although we have seen so often Sheldon getting  frustrated and condescending when someone has won him or is better than him, but we all know Amy is his only exception, so he could behave differently. And I'm still waiting for the writers to bring up the question of Amy's IQ. If it is really one point higher than Sheldon's, so it would have very interesting opportunity to get things move forward between them. Since we all know (Amy's) mind is the best aphrodisiac to him.

Yes it would be great to see it, Amy's mind is an aphrodisiac for him, and everything, in what power of her mind would be involve,   could increase his needs to be with her in an intimate way, and not only to admire how her brain works, but also to admire her other beautiful benefits. I would like to see that scene like in Miso's fanfic. when Amy punished him, and that punishment was a dance.

Well I don't think it's nuts to ship shenny. It's okay to ship whatever you want if you see the chemistry between them.

Um, I hope you'll forgive my rudeness. I'm posting this link in this thread since Leonard is the main character and this ficlet won't appear in the Shamy filter even though it's definitely Shamy (I know some of us *cough* me *cough* have a link saved directly to the Shamy filter so we don't have to suffer through the countless Sheldon/Penny summaries). So um there. Sorry.

Saw a news item that reminded me of Sheldon in the Parking Lot episode, where he warns Howard that if you wear the Ironman mask into a bank that they'll wrestle you to the ground.

Apparently some guy robbed a bank wearing an Ironman mask...

They did not wrestle him to the ground, though (I guess because he had a gun.)
