robertc Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Mayim is on the cover of the latest Arroyo Magazine. This is a free monthly paper from Pasadena. I don't have any scans. They spelled her name wrong on the cover!! They wrote it as Bialek. But her name is Bialik.

BazingaFan Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 It's a shame they screwed up; the cover looks nice. Is the article any good? I'll have to look at it later.

Lissie Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Arroyo? I don´t know how do you pronounce this but it is a Spanish word...means STREAM. Ok, this is not the topic anyway
Kyzzx Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Lol, whichever editor did that is gonna be in trouuuubllllle. Lord knows I was ruthless when I was editor-in-chief at the papers I've worked on.
phantagrae Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Arroyo? I don´t know how do you pronounce this but it is a Spanish word...means STREAM. Ok, this is not the topic anyway To me, arroyo means something more like a dry stream bed, like a gully. In New Mexico, where I grew up, they're dry washes where water might run if it rains enough. Since this magazine is from the Pasadena area, I'm sure they've got arroyos out there, too. I did read the article and it's pretty basic. I think she talks a little bit about her science background and they mention something about her background as an actor when she was young, and a little bit about her family, etc.
rubyanjel Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Oh, I saw that photo in one online article in this major magazine back in September. Okay, seeing her name spelled like that made me guffaw.
Guest I'm not dead Cheryl Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I went to a Croatian school, so I don't see how hard it is to spell Bialik!. I had classmates named Wyzykovski, Lachowicz etc. But really, Bialik is not so hard to spell!
rubyanjel Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Lol. At least it's not CBS that mistakenly misspelled her name. CBS wrote Kunal Nayyer in one of their posts in their website.

CBS wrote Kunal Nayyer in one of their posts in their website. and they once wrote Sheldon Cooper played by Johnny Galecki in a press release one time... or was it the other way around? rubyanjel Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I think you mean instead of writing Leonard they wrote Sheldon. I think that was for the "Go Sports" promo photo that you had to unlock.
