MJistheBOMB
All in all I found it to be a rather enjoyable episode, certainly one of the better ones this season. Sheldon's interaction with both the Human Resources Lady and Alex were hilarious and the all the guys seemed to have funny lines throughout the episode. The only part that was iffy in my opinion were the L/P interactions, they just seemed like they were missing something. Passion maybe? IDK hard to explain... anyone else feel this way? I noticed the same thing tonight. The moment where they were sitting on the couch and Penny was leaning on him after the discussed her insecurity. Can we say, "awkward"? The passion is totally gone. Is it possible that because she's with someone else now she doesn't feel comfortable getting too comfortable? IDK, but she should work on making it more believable. That was pretty bad. Anyway, GREAT episode. I laughed so hard tonight. LOL. Monique Edited January 4, 2013 by MJistheBOMB
Shamyfan
I didn't care for it too much. The Lenny parts were cute. I'm glad they are not fighting. That's good There giant jenga was funny and I loved Raj in this ep. We finally saw his doggy. Awwwwq The Sheldon getting in trouble stuff was kinda OOC IMO. Sheldon can't be that clueless. He refers to " pecking " and now he's clueless again. Make up your minds writers. When he called the human resource lady a "slave" wow. So uncomfortable and awkward. Why did he care so much that Alex is hitting on Leonard? Enough to consult w the girls ? I didn't get it. Alex, don't let the door hit u where God split u She needs to go! Superlovelexi
Fun episode! Sheldon is just too cute for words! Love how at the end he got back at Alex by making her do the online test for him. Its so obvious he wasn't trying to offend her or harrass her she just doesn't like him very much well if she doesn't like him she should QUIT and go work for another researcher at the university. And i'm so glad Sheldon brought up surpressing urges again, I know thats what he tries to do all time himself, and despite his clueless like behavior its clear he knows quite a lot about sexuality and sex. He should share some of that knowledge with Amy someday I also loved it when Leonard used his cello to sereanade Penny that was soooo sweet <3!!! I'm glad to see that Penny was jealous and find a positive way to deal with it, but I definitely get the feeling that this Leonard/penny/alex LT is over just yet! I have a bad feeling Alex is going try to get close to Leonard again and he's going to try to tell her to back off, but then Penny is going show up and catch Alex kisisng him or she's going trip and fall on his lap or some such TV cliche nonsense. I really hope they don't go that route, but if they do its okay cause hey at least I still got SHAMY! I think Amy and Bernadette should find a way to steer Alex's affections away from Leonard and onto Raj or someone else, because otherwise she'll have lot more to worry about than Sheldon showing her diseased genitalia in the work place. Regina King did good job, I like how she dealt with the boys in a very adult manner it reminded me of when Eliza Dusku guest starred as the FBI agent and Sheldon told on Howard, and the guys then too LOL Oh and I so want to be on Sheldon's council of Ladies, I put in my application ASAP just tell me where and when. Glad to see Raj's dog back again, but I like to lodge a complaint against writing staff of TBBT for showing me a dog licking its butt, that made me very uncomfortable and I think they owe me an apology as well as a free Sheldon Cooper's Council of Ladies t-shirt..seriously I WANT ONE!!!! After all, she didn't appear uncomfortable in 6x5, so unless it all fell apart in the two months between the tapings, I don't see why that would happen now. Also, you've been to tapings this year and Kaley and Johnny have come out to give props to the crew. Did those moments look strained? I re-watched it and Johnny is only kinda half sitting on the couch. I'm wondering if it was a case of bad positioning and Kaley playing the insecurity a bit too much that gives the scene its awkwardness. I didn't notice the awkwardness in the final scene, nor the scene outside the apartments (although in that scene she was mad). Just wondering. I did love the episode. It's one of those things. Kaley and Johnny are still really comfortble around each other according to people who go to tapings. I think this is grat chemistry and not awkward at all. Still love Alex though. Maybe it's my love of Margo clouding my judgment though. Edited January 4, 2013 by Slicknickshady

annieogly
Funny, Dr. Einstein von Brainstorm was brilliant, loved that. Loved old Howard and the robot; they really need to kill off Bernadette or have her just dump him. Miss Howard's mom..too much time is being given to the ladies' night/girls' scenes which are just tiresome. Finally looks like the Penny-Leonard break-up for sweeps. Penny did look hot in those black glasses & Sheldon's getting to old-looking for those t-shirts. Edited January 4, 2013 by annieogly
koops
It was a good ep but I think it read better on paper than it did on the screen. I agree with those who say that, yes, Sheldon is oblivious and clueless but at times when he was in the HR office it was a bit too much. I personally was rather uncomfortable with the "slave" joke. But overall he was hilarious, especially the Council of Ladies part and why did he have a 4th tshirt?? LOL was he planning to wear one himself? I think Margo was brilliant in this ep, although it doesn't do much good for the character that she hits on a guy who she knows to be in a relationship. I wonder whether she'll be back in some form, they surely seem to have left the door open for that. The L/P interactions I found cute, although they didn't do much for me, again, I thought they read better on paper. But I'm glad they seem to be in a very good place. tmp
The couch scene to me didn't look like a lack of chemistry so much as a physically uncomfortable position in which to sit. If they had been sitting in a more relaxed posture it might have come across better. I'm always one who can suspend my disbelief for the sake of a joke, but there was one fundamental flaw in the plot. It's not believable that the ladies would advise Sheldon to talk to Alex because a) they know him and would anticipate him screwing it up, and what she did wasn't really a work-related faux pas. koops
Yeah I thought Sheldon's eagerness to get involved with the whole Alex thing was blown a bit out of proportion considering he only got some information from a third party. It would have been more believable if it had happened in front of him and Alex had been VERY flirty or something. But like you said, I'll suspend my disbelief for the sake of the plot. Having Sheldon talk to Alex about something that happened outside of work with another person, was just a way to get Sheldon to make a mess of things. It was not logical at all. As you stated, it was done for the purpose of setting up some very funny plot points. Edited January 4, 2013 by BangerMain
BangerMain
I loved the episode because it continued to finish the Penny rebuild and they finally addressed the single biggest issue that L/P had, Penny not willing to address her insecurities to Leonard. The commitment fear is now explained to Leonard which I have thought was more important than "I love you". For Penny, "I am insecure" was the biggest deal. It's been there since their first date breakup in 2.01. Penny told Sheldon then that she feared Leonard would get bored with her and dump her. Every season shows Penny's fear of smarter women who are interested in Leonard. Leonard has always interpreted her discomfort, as her being sensitive about their educational gap but it was more she did not think of herself as his equal, outside of looks. Now he knows, for the first time, that she loves him and is afraid to lose him. Edited January 4, 2013 by BangerMain
netmouse
Was struggling a little with this episode. Was one of those take it or leave it "filler" eps for me. Raj's comment to his dog seemed a little out of place too. (from a writing pov)

Convict13
It was good, enjoyable but not a great episode, IMO. L/P seemed a little strange tonight, maybe because that was Penny being insecure. For a guy that Sheldon always says has no idea about the ladies, he seems to do alright. Favourite line "He's strutting around likes he's 5 ft 6. carl1970
The couch scene with L/P had everything to do with the positioning the director had them in. They both had to sit at an angle because of the camera shot. They typically use 3 cameras to shoot a scene and instead of using the middle camera they used one of the side angling cameras to tape that part of the scene. Not a good job by the director and camera people.
rickfromillinois
I really liked this episode. I liked Amy's offer to use some of her cocaine addicted monkies on Alex. I believe that this is the final episode where Alex appears on the show.....good. Frankly I thought it was pretty low of her in the first place to ask Leonard out knowing that he was dating Penny. That's a real sleazy move. In addition, after working for Sheldon for even a brief period of time, Alex should have some idea what Sheldon is like, and although what he was talking about was inappropriate, it was not sexual on his part. It would have been much better if she had simply told him that what he was saying was inappropriate and explain to him why. If that hadn't worked, then go to Human Resources. Frankly her actions during this episode will make me happy to see her go. Penny told Leonard that she was insecure in their relationship and told him that she was afraid that he would grow bored with her and dump her. This after on several occasions she had told him that there was no way that he would ever break up with her or do something to hurt her. I think that this both shocked him, the thought that SHE thought that HE might leave her, and it also pleased him, not because of her discomfort, but because of the idea that in their relationship they are equals and that it shows that Penny values him. In that past he had to feel that Penny was with him because she felt sorry for him or because she thought he was safe.
vasu
I liked most of this episode although there were some uncompleted plots and some other issues. I liked that Leonard and Penny were able to resolve their issues in a loving way. It felt natural that Leonard would revel in feeling attractive and superior for once .Penny never overreacts and Leonard apologizes in a cute way. So all good here. But still Alex's story had no proper closure.. I get that this is not a story about Alex but still she asked a guy in a who is a relationship out and she never had to answer for the inappropriateness of that. And Alex and Leonard did not even get a scene together after that which would have clarified where they stand now , I mean I would assume Alex would want to know where she stands given the fact that he told all this friends that she had asked him out Sheldon's part was quite humorous and the HR lady's acting was brilliant(especially her tone).....but I felt Sheldon's character was a compromised for the sake of jokes here...he should have stuck to the biological facts and then misunderstand the practical realities. It just felt something was different with him in this episode at least in some of his lines By the way Margo Harshman's big blue eyes were glorious and her terrified expressions were very funny And its always fun to see reminders of sleazy Howard. And can any one tell me what type of breed was that dog... Edited January 4, 2013 by vasu

Kaley was put in an uncomfortable physical position and didn't know what to do with her arms. Johnny however did have his arm around her quite affectionately during the scene, so it does seem to be a screw up by the director. The last scene with the glasses seemed to contain the normal Kaley/Penny with Johnny/Leonard chemistry.
