Convict13 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) I love to think in the "six degrees of separation" from lots of things, and I was wondering what is your Six Degrees of Separation from TBBT? Do you have one? I case you don't know what that means, it basically means do you know a person that knows or worked with a person within 6 moves that can get you to TBBT? I'll go first I have a cousin who played John Goodman's girlfriend in a movie called Dirty Deeds, John Goodman worked with Johnny Galecki. I get there in 2. phantagrae Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I can get to the fictional aspect--I have relatives who used to live in Galveston, so I've been the several times.
Guest I'm not dead Cheryl Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) hmm let's see: I met Viggo Mortensen at a restaurant once, so I used him to calculate (does it count if I only met him once?): I used oracleofbacon.org to calculate So I get Viggo Mortensen > Ian Holm (Lord of the Rings -Bilbo) and he was also in Garden State with > Jim Parsons So I get a 3 :D I also tried Johnny Galecki and Mayim and also got a 3: Viggo Mortensen > Phillip Baker Hall (both on Psycho) and then Phillip Baker Hall was on The Chicago 8 with Mayim Viggo Mortensen > Dianne Ladd (28 days) and she was also on Chrsitmas Vacation with baby Johnny p.s: I also met Vin Diesel in Brazil some time ago. If I use him, I also get a 3 Edited January 13, 2013 by Sursonica

phantagrae Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) Oh, I just remembered something! I met William Shatner (he did a narration on a piece with my orchestra), who worked with Leonard Nimoy, who was on the show! Woohoo! And the funny thing about the Shatner concert is that it was originally supposed to be Leonard Nimoy, but he had to back out. Oh, yeah, and I also met Patrick Stewart, who worked with Wil Wheaton, Levar Burton, and Brent Spiner, all of whom have been on the show. And I went on a Star Trek fan cruise and Wheaton was aboard, and he has been on the show. rubyanjel Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) Not sure how this works entirely but here it goes. I've been a big fan of this celebrity in our country named Ruby Rodriguez and that we met each other. She goes to Burbank and stays at her home there twice a year so I guess that's connected to the staff and crew that films in Burbank? Tensor Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Well, I met Keith Carradine, that's one. However, if you want to go by working with, my number is a 2 in various combinations. I worked onstage with Molly Grant Kallins (State Fair, at a dinner theatre; Comedy of Errors at a regional theatre.), who worked with Dakota Fanning in the 2005 movie Hide and Seek. And Dakota worked with Jim on Stand Up For Cancer in 2010. Dakota also worked with (well at least they were credited together) Mayim, Danica McKellar, and Wil Wheaton on a special Biography on child stars. I've also worked on stage with my daughter. She worked with Colleen Houlehen (who did technical production for Godspell here in Florida), Who was the Technical Supervisor for The Normal Heart, in which Jim appeared. BillF63 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) I met singer/songwriter John Denver in 1994 (had a nice chat with him) John had Steve Martin on one of his TV shows. Steve Martin starred the movie "The Three Amigos" with Chevy Chase. Chevy Chase worked with Johnny Galecki from the Big Bang Theory on the movie "Christmas Vacation." Rusty Painter Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 OK. I'm new here, but here we go: When I was younger, my dad was the president of the local youth sports association. Every year, the "Days of Our Lives" cast would come to town for a softball fund raiser. Being the son of the President, I got to go to all of the "VIP" stuff. With that being said, here is mine: Stephen Nichols (Steve "Patch" Johnson from DoOL) was in "Cover Me" with Corbin Bernson, who was in "The Big Year" with Jim Parsons. Looks like I get there in 2!! Ar Diem Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I think I can get there a couple of ways (because of charitable work) but probably the fastest is Billy Murray to Chevy to Johnny. Those of you who think you have none probably have a friend, coworker, or relative that gets you there. The world is filthy with celebrities. It is kind of hard not to meet a few or know someone who has. I have a friend that has been on Jeopardy, it might take the full six to get back to tbbt but I bet it works somehow. Ar Diem Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 No comment. That is all I will say. But its pretty cool to know people do have degrees of connections. Happy now Ar! I am not sure why I should be happy. I just think as many people work on the show most of us could get back there somehow. The problem is not knowing all of the specifics. The craft services guy might be connected to you somehow. If anything else you post with people that can get you there...
Kyzzx Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) My close friend has worked with Leonard Nimoy on several different occasions. Leonard Nimoy was on an episode of TBBT, obviously (FUN FACT! Monique and I were actually at that same taping for The Transporter Malfunction, but we hadn't met yet, lol). Soooo, two, I guess. Shel_Ra_Ho_Le Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) I often work near and at the WB lot as a script supervisor, production specialist and actor in the nearby areas. It helps when you have connections within the business. So there, Ar, you now know my occupation and why I said what I said earlier. Manon Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 as I come from Belgium, I can't possibly found a way to relate to the show (other than watching it) but I love Six Degrees of Separation and enjoy reading yours ^^
wannamaker Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I just barge in to say this. No encounters with TBBT actors or likewise celebrities as I do not live in US. However I've met two actors one from Eastenders. (We just met in the local supermarket more than once! He was telling me about being dismissed from the show because the plot changed and they made him die The other was in a garden party in London. A kind hello between us. Unfortunately he died in 1996 (cancer) he was Paul Edding. There some others but just a glimse of them in Art Fairs and so forth.
