tmp Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 There are meant to be a lot of people on his list. I'd love to see a new enemy. Although I do hope he doesn't get too friendly with Kripke. He needs someone at work, and they've had moments in the past where they kind of seemed friendlish (when they went rock climbing and when Sheldon had his "new friends" over when everyone was hanging out at Raj's). So I'm not sure the enemy!Kripke door is closed just yet. Brent Spiner!
SodidIwin? Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Brent Spiner! He was Sheldon"s enemy when he ripped open the W.W. figure package Will gave Sheldon. However, he then became a friend when Sheldon needed him to finish the Fun with Flags episode Will and Amy had the disagreement on. Lol! Nogravitasatall Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Maybe Sheldon can live and be funny without a nemesis. They have made the point earlier that life itself is hard for him and that is his battle. Perhaps they can find the conflict and humour without needing a villian. Kripke is now a respected competitor not a bad guy. Fewer bad guys is a good thing IMHO.

4ofN Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 That was Levar Burton, not Brent Spiner So, I guess I'm the one who has to take care of this. It was Brent Spiner, not Levar Burton who opened the action figure. Levar has been on the show a couple of times before, but it was Brent who was at Will's party. http://bigbangtheory.wikia.com/wiki/Brent_Spiner

Moonbase Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) Just moved this to the right thread! One inconsistency: Sheldon tells Penny and Leonard he has a problem with "everyday physical motions – hugging, handshakes, prostate exams." But in S4.15 the Benefactor Factor he tells Leonard."It's not a touch phobia, it's a germ phobia. If you'd like to go put on a pair of latex gloves, I'll let you check me for a hernia." He also asked Leonard if Dr Stephanie could give him a prostate exam in one episode and admitted to preforming one on himself in the other Kripke episode. And Ramona trimmed his toenails with latex gloves on, in yet another. Edited February 9, 2013 by Moonbase
koops Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Moved my reply too Aren't we well behaved! lol. I don't think him saying he has issues with physical contact is mutually exclusive with what he said in 4.15. He didn't say why he has problems with physical contact, just that he does. Germs can definitely be part of the reason. I think it's probably a combination of both.
Moonbase Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Thats not my point! He wanted Dr Stephanie to give him a prostate exam. Yet he says in this episode he has a problem with... "hugging, handshakes, prostate exams." well he obviously doesn't.
koops Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I think the prostate exam was thrown in there just for a laugh. Without that, the conversation would have been too serious, so they were breaking it up with jokes (like Leonard and the Vaporub). They are always inconsistent in these details when they go for a laugh, it's nothing new.

I thought you were saying that it was a major inconsistency because of the part you posted in bold, to which I replied earlier. silverangel Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Maybe from it's a little off the topic regarding lasts posts, but I was wondering that anybody notice it that in scene when ominous music was playing theme from Star Wars and when Penny and Leonard came in to their apartment, that Sheldon with his afgan on his head the light from the laptop illuminates his face from below, he looks little like that character from Star Wars-Revenge of the Sith part Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. It was very hilarious, me and my husband aleady noticed it. A small digression. Edited February 12, 2013 by silverangelD

Martin Pollard Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 scene when ominous music was playing theme from Star Wars If I may be allowed to let my geek flag fly , it wasn't the theme from "Star Wars," which you hear over the opening crawl of each movie. It was "The Imperial March," the theme used for the Empire (and Darth Vader), which was introduced in "The Empire Strikes Back." This has been your geek public service announcement for today. :D Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk

I wasn't wrote that this was opening theme, I wrote a general, theme from Star Wars, because I watched it but I did not remember the details, and I didn't thought about it then.
