I saw this online today.  It's a bit scary.

Be Sheldon Cooper for Halloween! Because nothing terrifies people more than “a stoic expression, thick eyebrows and an immaculate short hairstyle”!

Also, nice to know their Sheldon mask in whatever way, shape or form, is made of latex and fits “most teens and adults”. I think I'm more than mildly traumatised by this advertisement.

It's too late at night for this, dammit....

I know, right?  I came across this after doing a search to check something while writing my fic (I have a scene where Sheldon is taking off latex gloves, so I wanted to make she he wasn't allergic or anything).  So, because of the latex, this popped up, and I went to it, very curious.  Then it scared the hell out of me, lol.

I admire your diligence in regards to research...Do I want to know what your Sheldon was doing with latex gloves, or would this traumatise me further?

I'd like to see all of them break free from caring what their mothers and fathers think about them. They need to set boundaries with their parents. Once free of people controlling him by calling his mother. Sheldon could unleach his 'evil side'; build a device that threatens Pasadena. Or find a nemesis to confront!tumblr_lx36bxQnVY1qlex7ko1_500.jpg

Now that he's all but proposed to Wil Wheaton, and trades bogus sex chat with Kripke, Winkle's gone and he's struck Penny off the list, I think Nemeses are a bit thin on the ground for Sheldon. Having a nemesis is an essential part of his character. I don't think he's sufficiently self-aware to deal with certain troubles without externalising or anthropomorphising them. Curling up in a ball on the bed is his other woeful option. Faced with that, I'd prefer he had his long-awaited lab accident epiphany, and began some sort of dastardly experiment. He has plenty of subjects to poison.

It's funny how now it's obligatory to have a pic as well, double the fun! In that book, he talked about how those who are bullied(at home and outside), bulid up this ball of inexpressible anger, which can lead to them having a hidden dark side. I think we've seen glimpses of this in Sheldon, imagine him moon lighting as some sort of Doc Octopus type! He could direct it at bullies.m94GUpupZoUzaacj9E2IAhg.jpg

I’m not normally a fan of “fanvideos”, given that they’re usually an excuse to test out the combined possibilities of an overactive hormone level and the capacities of Windows Movie Maker.

However, I think this one’s quite amusing.

It doesn’t make me want to stab myself in the eye with a fork, anyroad.

EVERYBODY LOVES SHELDON DAMMIT! (disclaimer, some people included in packet may not love Sheldon)

I definitley love Sheldon, he's really funny and sometimes the best thing in the show when an episode is lacking, but it's interesting we all love him so much. In reality most people would probably avoid somebody like Sheldon. He's rude, arrogant, insensitive, conceited, but yet we all love him. Does anybody have thoughts on this paradox?

About fifteen pages! But let's start with; rarely found genius, interesting, sweet, challenging, tall and attractive, funny!sheldon_12.jpg

  The influence of Sheldon Cooper......

today at law school, in Property law class, the topic was bailment, something I immediately recognized from

one of Sheldon's crazy tirades, from "The Work Song nanocluster"  when he takes delivery of Penny's

materials from the courier.

Later the lecturer mentioned contra proferentem, a concept in contract law, and how did I know about  that

(as our lecturer left it out of the course last year to focus on calculation of damages )  because Priya used it

against Sheldon in "The Agreement Dissection"  (in season 4).

so a big thank you to Sheldon Cooper PhD, for his contributions to my legal education.

(true story !)

Obviously, Sheldon and Howard represent two extremes on the spectrum that spans Humanity. Sheldon considers M-theory,six-loop quantum gravity, heterotic string theory, quantum field theory, philosophy(Gedankenexperiments), also he has an eidetic memory, an extensive general knowledge, and an interest in human psychology, and human interaction. Howard is focused on a more basic part of his anatomy.(info from TBBT wiki).

I'm reading a book written by Naoki Higashida, when he was thirteen. He's severely autistic, unlike Sheldon, and can only communicate by pointing at letters on a cardboard keyboard. He offers incites into some of Sheldon's behaviour/traits. 'Our feeling's are the same as everyone else's, but we can't find a way to express them. We don't even have proper control over our own bodies...... it's as if we're remote controlling a faulty robot.' 'We'd love to be with other people. But because things never, ever go right, we end up getting used to being alone.' 'Some people with autism can't even stand being hugged or touched.....being touched by someone....it's as if we lose who we are. Think about it-that's terrifying! There's also the dread that by being touched our thoughts will become visible'. Real insights by those who have these conditions are invaluable, and Naoki asks for our patience and compassion.tumblr_kqcvhujIWi1qzc176o1_1280.jpg?AWSA

I am going to put my response to season 7 spoilers #10022 here where I think it belongs.

Really? In episode 4 of the first season we have:

"...oh look, they built a new put-put course."

He is sounding suddenly like a kid and it is near the beginning of the first season!

He creates a luminous fish night light. Sounds like the imagination of a juvenile mind to me.

A billion dollar idea? It's a joke. The point is Sheldon has had his childish tendencies from near the beginning of the first season..

There is a vast difference between childlike and childish. Creating a luminous fish light is inspired, in my opinion. Do you consider imagination to be a negative or purely juvenile quality? That is deeply unfortunate.

I agree there is a difference between childish and childlike.

I would also agree creating luminous fish would be both inspired and impressive. Thinking one would sell these fish as night-lights is juvenile. There could be quite a market selling them as fish. People don't want night-lights that need to be feed and kept in tanks/bowls that need to be cleaned. The only reason Sheldon thought of a night light is that that's what he wanted. Again juvenile.

One can't deny the thing that got Sheldon fired in the first place was childish. There is little point in talking to one's boss as Sheldon did. As someone else pointed out it took Sheldon's mother coming all the way from Texas to straighten Sheldon out and get him back to work.

I find Sheldon entertaining most of the time but I also think he has been childish from early in the first season.
