First time I found this program in my TV I didn´t know it even existed (TBBT) I liked it since the first minutes watching it and...I have to confess, I fell in love with Sheldon. It was love at the first sight :icon_redface: It is not only because Jim Parson is handsome, it is something else that only Sheldon has. His reactions, his innocence, his intelligence, his body expressions, his way of not understanding social conventions and trying to get them or feeling weary because of them, how he acts when he is sick, how he likes some special sweets, toys, details of the things, how he stand out some details like to be sit down next to the sweet machine in a restaurant and he feels this detail was so enjoyable. How he still enjoy the same things since his childhood. He is the most perfect character ever.

Well, he is little bit like me in some of the things maybe that is why ha ha

Jim seems like a delightful man but since I am a woman and he is orientated in the other direction my Crush is not on him but rather on Sheldon Cooper. *Raises hand* I freely admit it! Sheldon Cooper is a genius, annoying, sweet, hard to handle and oh so preciously adorable

AMEN!

I totally agree, I found Sheldon hot before Jim. Sad really, I just remember watching tbbt and being like Oh My God, he's ridiculous.  Remember the realization  oh crap, Sheldon Cooper is an absolute babe?

Yes, I really remember. It was when I first saw him talk in his own voice (strangely it was the unaired pilot), not the stupid synchronized voice they gave him. Hit me hard! Then I googled Jim..... Hit me hard again!

I heard somewhere that the color of Sheldon's shirt is possibly an indication of his mood in the scene(s), but there was no elaboration.  I've been trying to figure out the code, if there is one.  He pretty reliably wears yellow (one or the other of the shirts) in scenes where he's afraid.  Purple seems to mean loyalty to his friends.  Anybody else thought about this?

No actually not.

But THANK YOU nevertheless, it is a very good reason to rewatch the seasons.... hurray!   :icon_razz:

You know, I was thinking the other day, one thing that drives me crazy about Sheldon: for someone who is so obsessed with cleanness and germs it is ridiculous that he always sits and lays on his bed with shoes on. There is no way I would let something that's being collecting all sorts of s*** from the streets go anywhere near where I put my face to sleep at night. Such a major pet peeve of mine when it comes to Sheldon. lol.

Definitely the character I can relate to the most, which is why somebody recommended the show to me. I'm starting to like his evolution now, as long as they don't take it too far. It's natural when he has made so many acquaintances compared to when he was alone in his apartment, seeking a roommate. Obviously it's had an effect on him, and you can see that in his dialogue in these later seasons. He uses much more 'slang'. The evolution reminds me of what I used to be like and how I'm slightly more sociable now.

Yes, that's what I saw.  They don't elaborate as to what colors might indicate what emotion.

Yeah, I read about that somewhere, that the costume people match colors with his emotions, but I'm not sure if that's an actual trivia about the show or just speculation. Maybe someone can clarify because I'm curious to know.

Maybe I should post my "Ode to a Pea" in this thread--though it's really about JP, not about Sheldon...

Do you know I had a similar idea to dedicate a short poem or something like that... myself too.

Why don't you post it [if it's not really very long] I'd love to read it. here.

He is a very well mannered young man  :)  ...those are virtues of the few nowadays.

I know the t-shirt thing is listed on IMDB trivia but I'm not sure where the original reference was from. If someone could track down the reference for this, it would be great.

True trivia or not, it's fun to look out for while re watching. I noticed that they dress Sheldon in the black flash t-shirt when he is on the outs with someone. He has it on in the weekend vortex when he is asking Penny to manipulate Amy and in the habitat configuration when he is talking over his troubles with Penny. The yellow shirts usually appear when he is afraid (ornithophobia and friendship configuration) but he was also wearing that color when he be became friends with Hawking in 6.06, so go figure. :)

I think gray must mean something too, perhaps being depressed.  In the Cooper/Kripke Inversion, he's wearing two gray shirts and gray pants, and (trying not to spoil, but we can tell from the pictures that) he's down in the dumps.
