Photoraptor
Has the dart board on the back of the front door ever been used? Two things annoy me about the dart board and I can't believe that Sheldon Cooper would not also be bothered by them. One, is the health and safety aspect. What if someone opens the door when a dart is being thrown? Two, it is not of regulation height! Shame on you Sheldon!
walnutcowboy
The issue I have with the dart board concerns the landlord. The landlord is soooo cheap he won't fix the elevator so what kind of fit would he/she have seeing a bunch of holes in the door? Perhaps the landlord could show up once in a while in the series. WHO's had a landlord and NEVER see's them in 7 years?
phantagrae
I've lived in my current apt for almost 12 years and I don't think I've seen our landlord since probably 2004, and that was because we had a fire in our building. We don't have an onsite manager, but we do have some maintenance people who come atound to do repairs, etc.
walnutcowboy
I guess it's different in a SMALL town like mine. Edited January 30, 2013 by walnutcowboy

netmouse
I always thought Sheldon would have an issue with small holes in the door from the darts, too.
Photoraptor
Still does not explain why the dart board is at the wrong height! And has it ever been used?
Miss Kitka
Still does not explain why the dart board is at the wrong height! And has it ever been used? Probably has, just that you don't see them playing the game.
Photoraptor
So the door would be full of holes? Surely, they would be able to work out the exact trajectory from the regulation distance, their own height and weight of the dart and be able to hit which ever number they wanted. Howard could even make a machine to be able to do this?
watsoft
What beats me is in the episodes I've checked it on, it's not straight, the 20 & the 3 should be on the vertical and they're not. It's true that the board should be rotated to evenly distribute play, but the numbers should be counter rotated to ensure the effectively remain static. Perhaps I'm reading more into this, but I guess that's the joke...the geeks don't know!
watsoft
Adendum for my last post: Seen some earlier shows and the dartboard is fine back then!

They tried it only once and they broke the window behind them. 😂
