Jim Parsons

That's one of my favorite Jim interviews, too. It's so relaxed and informal, and he goes into a lot of depth talking about the show and Sheldon. It's one of the few interviews where he's allowed to be so thorough - most talk show hosts just joke around.

I'm sure he has a piano at his place. :) He mentioned on Attack of the Show that he's bought a new one.

I doubt it. Surnames are not always related.

I was halfway joking.  Really just saying studying the sociologist made me think of the awesome actor.

Wannamaker - that's apt, having something in French for him now that he's learning French. :)

He's learning French?  I tried a "Learn French in Your Car" CD set one time and quickly found I needed not only to hear it but also to see it in writing and see how the sounds are made from someone's mouth.  I really learned only one thing from the CD set:  "Mi voiture e blu" (probably not spelled right), which means "My car is blue."  At least it's a useful phrase should the need ever arise.  :icon_rolleyes:

OMG!

Finally got to see this one! :p

I did go poking around on that site and saw some lovely Jimmy stuff. :D

One funny thing about this particular pic is that it's from the pilot and I've noticed that he almost always does this two-handed door closing thing. He takes the doorknob and then has his other hand on the door and he turns himself completely toward the door and closes it with both hands as if he has to be quiet or as if he has to make sure it closes properly or something. I've been wondering if this is something he came up with for Sheldon or if it's something the director asked for at some point.

But apart from that, it's just great to have such a good view of his lovely backside. :p

Maybe his house??

I doubt it's his house. Many photo shoots are done n some location that favors or goes with whatever it is the person is modeling.

I love the picture with that dark jacket. There's a full-body shot of that outfit that makes me dream of Jim in an 18th or 19th century naval costume...

I don't think any of that was Jim's furniture. Those were the photos they used to sell the property before he moved in. Jim would have decorated it however he preferred. Not sure what his tastes are beyond his choice of apartment. It might have a piano.

Probably yes but I think that his bedroom will be marvelous as well. :icon_biggrin:

I don't know if this has been posted before, but it's the first I've seen of it - a long interview of Jim Parsons from over 4 years ago.  (a series of 8 youtube videos, actually)

Actually a very interesting interview from an "academic" point of view.

I'm not a stalker - really!  But I remember an interview with him where his taste is "modern"  so IKEA?

IKEA??? noooooo.  He has better taste then that :-)   No offence to Ikea tho, I love theire Köttbollar Meatballs.

Yeah I think that  too, again whatever it will be I'm sure that  it will be beautiful and arrange with taste.

I knew it! I was going to say modern with a creative edge. Since they are both creatives and they look the type to go for that. Not ikea. :icon_lol:

For some reason the main character's brother in that play reminds me of Dr. Gablehauser...

 I think that is him.

That reminds me--I saw him the other night on some older episode of something.  I think it may have been Law & Order (one of the L&O shows) where he was playing a defense lawyer, I think.

Yes, it was Gablehouser. :) I forget his real name.

That was definitely the 'Southern bitch' line. He got plenty of appreciation for Tommy Boatwright, even though it was a supporting role.. that clip shows a glimpse of how he blended funny and heartbreaking remarkably well.

Yeah it was that line :)

Isn't he perfect...*sigh* everything which  he plays, he plays with all of his being, body language, facial expressions, he become one with character which he play, he's  giving himself completly for  the play, for the character and it doesn't matter if it's leading role or supporting. That role is so well played, so heartbreaking and true like you said. And I think that he's so brave  that after such a role which he played brilliantly,  he admits to his sexual orientation.

I admire him for that, because after such a confession, and so well played  role, the label  hung over him, that he would only play similar roles. Fortunately it did not threaten him.
