IMO it is not only because he loves to play. He KNOWS this is HIS TIME and he cannot reject even a small opportunity now. TBBT gave him the fame he needs for getting more jobs in theatre, films and TV. HE CANNOT REFUSE NOW, even if he needs vacations. Because those extra jobs he is doing are the platform for having more in future when TBBT will finish.

But this is only my opinion...I know nothing about this :)

I didn't say that he has to refuse even small opportunity to get vacation. I just said that maybe he needs little rest and get vacation, but I know that he will be playing and he will be busy, because IMO first: this is what he loves to do and second: is that what you said. I think that his talent  and that he is brilliant actor plus fame which TBBT gave him, is something which will probably  provide him more roles in the future. I think he is so talented actor would not be complaining about the lack of roles when TBBT is over.

And just like you I know nothing about this, and this is only my opinion... :)

Do you know what is my fantasy? I hope one day I will see him playing a role in a sci-fiction movie like Star Trek, and he will do a similar paper as in TBBT! Even everybody will know he was Sheldon and now he is doing similar role in this film but IMO people will enjoy with this comparation :) :)

Regarding your "sadness" because you feel he needs rest, I want to remember you he is the luckiest man! He is working in what he loves so much, he is succeful, he is rich, he has lot of BEAUTIFUL women (all of us here :) ) loving him, and probably some men too ;) he has a lovely family, what more he needs? vacations? come on, he has time for this in few years :D

But remember this is only MO :icon_lol:

First I wasn't sad, I was far away from sadness..."poor baby" thing was just worrying about him, and I only mentioned this, and that's it. There is no need to pay importance to this. I know about all this things you said.He is a lucky man, he has our admiration and love, and all this stuff about which you said.

The fact that he has all that stuff about what you wrote does not mean that he may not want to go to some beautiful place with Todd.

I remember that :icon_lol:  you also remember about that if I want to i can feel sadnes about this fact, or feel concern about Jim...this is MO :icon_lol: :icon_lol: ;)

Can't listen to the radio interview, van somebody give a few extracts from it please :)

Did you try clicking on "Download" instead of "Listen"?  You don't have to actually download anything--for me it just opened in a new window and then was playable.

I want to see him in something completely different--maybe a comedy, but even more, I'd like to see him play a serious role--maybe in some kind of thriller or something.  It would be interesting to see him as something like a lawyer, even a detective or a bad guy.

But I do think that he leans toward comedy or dark comedy, so that would be cool to see, too.

For some reason I want to see Bad Boy Jim. :D

Yes I agree I want to see him playing some different character opposite than Sheldon, something different than science fiction. Yes detective, black character...  I love dark comedies so   I would love to see him in that kind of film. Great would be if he would play in some Tim Burton's film. It would be dream come true. I love Tim Burton's films and I love Jim so ... one can dream. Yeah bad ass Jim would be sexy and interesting. :D :icon_cheesygrin:

he's 40 omg!! he could easily pass someone who is in his late 20s.

yeah he should do a movie with kaley cuoco especially if its opposite her, they have one of the best onscreen chemistry I've seen of any couple.

Full interview with Jim on Letterman is on youtube now:

Thanks The_shewwy!!

Hey guys, watching this interview..didn´t you feel that some "Sheldon´s personality" is coming to Jim? I mean, in previous interviews looked like he was so kind and eager to please everybody, and now he is saying he doesn´t care any more. He is changing little bit. What do you think?

And I have a curiousity, because I just watched this program (Letterman) few times because of Jim Parson (and thanks of you posting here :)  I would like to know who more is going to this program? Anybody I know? Some Hollywood actors/actress maybe?

No problem, you're more than welcome! I'm just sharing the Jim love!

I don't think he's saying that he doesn't care about people. It's more that he doesn't care about people's perception of him which is a good thing in my opinion. It's a natural progression as you get older- pandering seems less important. He did say before though in the Jimmy Kimmel interview that he has gotten less friendly the older he's gotten so that's not a big change from 2011. So, no I don't think he's changing! I imagine that at times the scrutiny on his personal life must be pretty invasive now that the show has gotten so big, so can you blame him for being a bit wary?  :icon_razz:

Also, the guest list for Letterman can be found here on the CBS page:

Thanks for your fast answer :)

Yes, I know the fame is hard sometimes. It is good he is getting less tension.

I loved this interview because he seemed so relaxed and like such a boss!  I love his KMA attitude! :)

I think he's earned it and deserves it--he's done the work, he's got the talent, he's generally a nice guy but he doesn't have to kiss anyone else's A-S-S to prove himself.  He's come into his own and doesn't have to turn himself inside out or beg anyone to like him.

Reminds me of Cyrano de Bergerac--"I loathe the parasite liana, curled about the trunk.  I myself am a tree.  Not young, not beautiful, but free."

Of course, Jim is young and beautiful :p , but the point is that he can stand on his own as a person and doesn't have to depend on the opinion of others to validate himself. :)
