I remember when Philip S. Hoffman died, a loooot of 'famous' ppl went to his funeral just to show up. That was so disrespectful. I really don't know if is happening with Robin Williams death already, but not commenting, and calling yourself to silence sometimes is more appropriate than saying something. The other members of the cast wrote messages about Williams, but those were respectful and I felt were sincere and honest.

I don't think a single person on the cast or crew would be disrespectful.  I just know Robin Williams touched the lives of many of them, just like he did many of our own lives.  I can't imagine them doing anything that wasn't respectful or heartfelt.  They are not that kind of people.

I was thinking that since Jim usually uses his morning posts to be upbeat, that maybe he didn't want to be sad and serious for his usual "good morning" post.

I was wondering if they're going to do something like a moment of silence or something at the taping, or if they're going to want to keep the whole scene upbeat for the audience.

And for the record, I don't think anyone can judge the "famous people" who went to PS Hoffman's funeral as "just showing up".  The man worked with a lot of people in a lot of different kinds of projects.  I don't think any of us can judge who was there just to be "seen".

I do remember reading articles stating that some of those assisting to the funeral, were more concern in showing what they were wearing and stuff, and that even some designers used the situation like a opportunity to show their clothes appropriate for that moment. Anyway, it was what I felt watching the news at that time, I'm glad that is not happening in this case. Sorry for the offtopic.

Getting back to talking about Jim, I did mention on his IG that there was going to be a gang at the taping wearing tiaras and that he should give you all a wave or something. :)

You never know what he does or doesn't read in his comments, especially now that he may have less time to dawdle through 1000 comments, but if he sees it, maybe y'all will get a nod from him.  I think someone else mentioned you all wearing red today. :)

It's going to be such a riot!!

I read your comment! maybe he did read it, who knows ;)
Dunno how many of the girls attending are wearing tiaras but I suppose seeing a bunch of women with shining (assuming their tiaras have some shining bijouterie) things in their heads can't be something hard to avoid. Maybe Mayim notices and tells Jim, maybe the warm-up guy makes them do something in the audience... I'm waiting to know about that almost as much as I'm waiting for the report of the actual episode lol

These were thoughts exactly, and seeing the second post of the painting and comments :This is a painting of Otis that Todd made for me as a birthday present a couple of years ago. I was just talking about it and I love it so much that I wanted to post it... No other reason

Often when you loose something it makes you refocus on the things that are important to you.  Just a thought.

Its a beautiful painting

Is it that one that used to hang in their kitchen area in the other house?  I was never sure if that was a picture or a painting--there was one of Otis and one of Rufus.

Here

Oh and definitely different than the ones from his NY apartment.

THANKS!  So sweet!

I think it shows that Todd knows how much Jim must love little Otis. :)

It reminds me of a gift my older sister made for me one Christmas, back in 2004.  That February my cat Hotspur had passed away, and for Christmas she took a photo of him and I guess glued it to a small wooden plaque.  She then painted around it to kind of extend the edges of the picture onto the wood.  She didn't actually paint him, but just made this nice little piece of him.

I burst into tears when I opened it.  It's still one of my favorite things she's ever made for me.

And some time before that she did a oil crayon drawing of Hotspur just on the spur of the moment while we were all home for Christmas or something.

She also made me a crocheted Sheldon doll like the one that amidorable (?) woman created for Jim.  :)

My husband had a jigsaw puzzle made from one of my favorite pictures of our daughters.  It floored me and is one of my favorite gifts ever.  Just goes to show you, you don't need a fancy gesture to show someone you love them.  Todd definitely knows his man.
