Uh, I missed on alot of 'action' today apparently...

ITA that Jim looks better now, looks healthier. Those dark rings under his eyes were prob from smoking, when I used to smoke I looked like a zombie... and omg! Todd looks like he has 17! must be his smile, is gorge♄ Ummm I can't scroll up or down on IG comments from my laptop so I can't see what that person wrote, but it must have been something really offensive if Todd decided to reply back like that. *sigh* ah! some ppl never learn...

That "homie" person kept trying to imply that Jim doesn't really love Todd. Because Jim says he loves this person and that person but doesn't say he loves Todd, or that because they aren't engaged that Jim is trying to tell Todd something, "homie" was trying to say that Todd should "take the hint". I think they were also trying to imply that Jim really wants to be with Mayim or that he's really bi and that's why he won't marry Todd.

(thanks for passing the info ^^)
Ā
Oh, WOW! that's like a lot of liberties taken to talk about a couple you haven't even met in person, not even once!
Poor Mayim was thrown there in the middle of this, sure the three of them comment about this and laugh about it *I hope*

OMG people get so ridiculous on their IGs it pisses me off!!! They are human beings and don't deserve it!!! How you could comment like that, it pisses me off and I hope they don't ruin it for the majority of fans that appreciate them allowing us to see into their lives.

I personally would have no problem if IG never allowed comments other than the IG photo poster.Ā  Honestly, we are so lucky to get anything from him that I can see people leaving the "good morning" or "have a good day" kind of comments, but telling him how to live his life baffles me. Ā  I rarely comment and I find it funny how some people have to not only comment once but multiple times on his IG.Ā

Ā

Good grief, it isn't a chat room.Ā  I don't even read the other comments on there.Ā  Why do fans read other fan comments?Ā  It only starts fan wars and that is what he is trying to avoid.Ā  Leave your daily comment if you feel so compelled.Ā  Tell him he you loved his performances, or whatever, but not how to live his life and not how to police other fans.Ā  Reporting is fine and highly encouraged, but when you comment and enter into discussions with other fans, it leads to fan wars and clutters up his IG.Ā Ā  It really is silly and serves no purpose.Ā  That is why they give a "report" button and allow you to report abusive or offensive comments.Ā Ā  Otherwise ignore and move along.Ā Ā  Anyone who is passionate enough to comment to Jim, a grown man who has a right to his own decisions,Ā  how to live his life is not going to listen to any logic or reason anyway so why waste your breath?Ā Ā  Report and let it be.

I understand what you're saying, but sometimes you have to address things because someone says something and then other people think it's true or whatever.

Some things are best simply reported, but other things need to be addressed AND reported.

I think most of us are grown enough to know the difference.

Well when it comes to his personal life...the only person who truly knows what is true or not is Jim, not any of us.Ā Ā  So I still say it is important to just report or let Jim deal with it.Ā  It is his account after all, not fans' account.Ā  He clarified today that it was not true he was engaged.Ā  So he knows when to jump in and clarify truth.Ā Ā  We should not be making any assumptions on his behalf.Ā  Let him do the clarifying.

Both points are valid, and also the fact that sometimes you feel so aggravated by what your reading you HAVE TO reply and say 'no'. Sometimes I read some comments that are just... too much.Ā

But yes, Jim's a 41 year old adult, and he knows how to deal with it. But one can't help react like a lioness when her cub is being molested lolĀ  :icon_wink:

Ā

One way to avoid getting aggravated like that and lured in to a fan war is to avoid reading the comments.Ā  Jim is a grown man and quite capable of taking care of himself and what he finds to be offensive.Ā Ā  He knows IG and the technology and so I say leave things up to him.Ā  Avoid reading other comments and then you don't get trapped into commenting or just use the report button and exercise self-control.Ā Ā  It really isn't hard to do.Ā Ā  I find by creating fan-wars he must think we are a bunch of immature children.Ā Ā  He knows who is a bit delusional and who isn't.Ā  We don't need to defend those people for him.

That's fine for you, but doesn't apply to the rest of the world. If we want to read the comments and respond what's it to you? 99% of the time it's a lot of fun, and sometimes he (or Mayim, or Kevin or whoever) chooses to respond. It's called human interaction.

If he didn't want to share he wouldn't have bothered to open an IG account, or he wouldn't have made it public, but simply shared it with his friends and family. He has chosen to share little slices of his life and to interact when he feels like it.

IMO. It's fine to comment, but the correcting and policing isn't helping. It just fuels these crazies even more. It's easier to report and keep it positive.

Eventually the crazies will be weeded out and Jim can reply to the funny witty comments if he wants. That's what we all want right? :p

I just think that we can all use our best judgement on a case-by-case basis without being scolded...

I don't read a lot of comments, but if I am and I happen to see a bad one that crosses the line, I do report it. I don't comment on every photo but I do like to leave a "have a good day!" Or "lookin good!" Comment here and there. I agree as long as we exercise caution and use our best judgement, who cares? If you want to tell another person that they're crossing the line, thank you! I think some people should be told, to be honest.

Anyways. I'm glad Jim cleared up that rumor. I think anyone with a brain knew that article was fake, but either way. Glad to see Jim and Todd happy. They are too cute!
