Jim Parsons

I've always had a thing for celebrities much older than me, starting back when I was 15 when I had a crush on Jeff Goldblum (who I think was in his 40s at the time).

However, the older I get, the narrower the gap gets. Jim is only 8 years older than me.

I wonder when it'll flip to younger guys. lol...

IME, in your 40s. :)

"Much older than me" is an increasingly small pool.

The mouthing along as the widow reads aloud just kills me.  And when he pats her on the shoulder, I just kept waiting for a "There, there"  :icon_lol:

Me, too!  I thought for sure it was coming, as it was so reminiscent of that scene from Season 3 when he sat next to Penny in the ER and tried to comfort her.

Yeah, he's 18 years older than me. So you're definitely not the creepy one lol.

He is 11 years older than me, but I have always thought older guys were hot. I feel creepy when I think younger ones are cute especially if I remember them in something when they were little kids and I was old at the time.

It will trust me. Although yes I do have a crush on Jim, who is the same age as me, I seem to also look at the younger ones as well.

I remember ooogling Daniel Radcliffe in pictures from Equus while screaming Nonononono at the same time.

And if Harrison Ford showed up at my door, all bets are off.

I am glad Jim doesn't make me feel like a Lolita OR a criminal sex pervert.

Well maybe a little like a sex pervert, but THAT doesn't have to do with age. lol

I think we are a lot alike. My friends think it is hysterical that I crush on Daniel Radcliffe as well. And I agree Harrison Ford if he showed up, yep sorry hubby.

Yes to Harrison Ford. He's like 70 now and he's still got it.

I'm so enjoying this conversation and learning about your other celebrity crushes. And I have to say--you guys have GREAT taste.  :) I saw Star Wars in the theater when I was a kid and I had no idea what was going on...but HAN SOLO. Oh boy. And when I was a teenager, I would take the bus to the mall, not to shop, but to see Raiders of the Lost Ark--oh, about 10 times   :icon_redface:

Is it wrong that when I read "sex pervert," I imagined Mrs. Wolowitz's voice?

Yes, I feel that Jim is age-appropriate for me. My teenage daughter asks if I think various male celebrities are "cute" (the People Sexiest Man Alive issue has just come out), and if I'm old enough to be their mother, then NO.

Jim is eight years older than me so not too bad! He looks so young though that I am not sure it really counts.

Harrison Ford is also my ultimate celebrity crush beginning in childhood and going right on up! That man's voice OMG.

Johnny Depp is also at the top of my list when not acting like a douche nozzle.

Also, see any actor who has ever come from Australia and I don't think there is a single exception to the rule.

Jim is my first celebrity crush since I was a teenager.  If he wasn't so sweet, gracious and un-Hollywood, I could get over this.  Oh.  And hot.  Damn you, Jim Parsons!  :icon_redface:

Right?!   Usually when I have crushes on celebs, I can watch a few of their interviews and such and decide that their mannerisms and attitudes makes them less attractive to me.  Jim has the exact opposite effect.  He and I also have identical taste in books, from what I can tell, which I find really hot (total geek here, I know).

I could be an older sister to Jim, definitely not a mother's age. I usually don't have celebrity crushes but there's something about Jim that hits everything on my list, physically and personality-wise. The man gets me going. Lucky, lucky Todd.

Don't hate me, Harrison Ford doesn't do it for me. Nice looking, but it doesn't click.
